Chapter 201 Nobody Wins

When Tang Li saw him, Qin Yang also happened to look over. Their eyes met, and the air was thick with tension.

Tang Li curled his lips, originally wanting to give the middle finger, but remembering Meng Wan's words, he could only hold back. Feeling rather disappointed, he pursed his lips, looked away, and then moved his hands and feet.

Unfortunately, some people just have to be quick to speak and cause trouble.

"Don't think you're so great just because you won a team event. Without that first leg, you'd be nothing special." Qin Yang stood in front of Tang Li, looking smug for some reason.

"Yeah, at least we have him to rely on. Unlike you guys, you lost by almost half a lap and still have the nerve to make excuses for yourselves."

Tang Li wasn't going to tolerate this; he already disliked Qin Yang. Since the other party had deliberately come looking for trouble, he couldn't be blamed.

If you make the other person feel better, then you've failed in your duty!

"I bet some people will be exhausted after just 100 meters, right? Don't use your lack of stamina as an excuse when you lose."

"Yes, I'm also afraid that some people can't even beat those who have run one lap, and they don't even have an excuse."

Having grown up under the 'care' of Tang Qi and Meng Wan, Tang Li, while not yet surpassing them in the art of speaking, is certainly no less skilled.

As expected, Qin Yang's face immediately darkened. Just then, someone from his school called out to him, and Qin Yang followed them. Before leaving, he didn't forget to utter a so-called harsh remark.

"Just you wait! Don't cry when you lose."

Tang Li rolled his eyes. This guy was trying to talk tough like others, but he had no real threat whatsoever. His fighting ability was also so weak that he ran away after saying only a few words.

The teacher started arranging for people to enter, and Tang Li ignored Qin Yang, following the teacher to get a number and enter. He didn't know what his luck was today, but the person next to him was Qin Yang.

"Keep it up! Don't lose to someone who just ran one lap."

Qin Yang was speechless and could only glare at him resentfully.

Tang Li didn't care. He turned his gaze back, looking ahead with a firm expression, completely different from his previous nonchalant attitude.

Tang Li reacted quickly, running out almost as soon as the gunshot rang out. Qin Yang was stunned for a moment, then gritted his teeth and chased after him.

Since they were sent by the school, they couldn't be too bad, and they quickly closed the distance between them.

Tang Li paid no attention to his surroundings, nor did he care where his opponents had run. He had only one goal at the moment: to reach the finish line and take first place!

Qin Yang followed closely, but could never overtake him. With the finish line right in front of him, Qin Yang panicked, reached out his hand, but missed.

Tang Li was completely unaware of the danger behind him. With the finish line in sight, he instinctively wanted to quicken his pace.

Unexpectedly, the next second, he rolled forward and fell to the ground.

The thrust and powerful inertia caused him to lose control, and he could only roll forward to reduce the damage.

The other contestants were startled by the sudden accident and stood frozen in place, not daring to approach. They could only watch as Tang Li curled up in a ball with a distorted expression.

But the culprit, Qin Yang, didn't stop at all. He took the opportunity to accelerate and cross the finish line, becoming the first place winner.

Meng Wan suddenly stood up, and Tang Qi and Yan Nian's expressions were not pleasant either.

There were no cheers; the scene was completely silent.

Qin Yang's push was witnessed by everyone. If the first push was unintentional, the second push was unmistakably malicious!

Qin Yang ignored all of that. After breaking through the line, he immediately looked in the opposite direction of his grandfather and excitedly shouted things like "I won! I won!" But despite the large audience, there wasn't a single cheer.

Nobody cares about their own victory.

Realizing this, Qin Yang's face fell immediately, his hands clenched tightly, regretting that he hadn't pushed Tang Li harder.

I thought he was so powerful, but he fell down with just a gentle push, and stole everyone's attention!

He gritted his teeth and stood still, but when he saw Tang Li curled up on the ground, he felt a little happier.

"Serves you right! This is what happens when you mess with me!" He stood with his hands on his hips, his self-righteous demeanor causing the surrounding children to boo, and even the parents in the stands frowned, asking whose child it was.

Meng Wan and the other two hurriedly got down. With Zhao Tianqi's help, Meng Zhiyao shook off the teacher's obstruction and ran towards Tang Li.

"Tang Li!" Meng Zhiyao's voice was full of anxiety.

"Tang Li, how are you?" Meng Zhiyao looked at his injuries and was at a loss for what to do.

In contrast, Tang Li's face was all scrunched up, yet he still waved his hand and said he was fine. He tried to force a smile, but the pain made his smile distorted, so it was better not to smile at all.

The doctor was the second to arrive and carefully examined Tang Li's injuries.

Two bloody marks appeared on his handsome face, and his arms and feet were covered in abrasions. His ankle was clearly dislocated and swollen high, turning a purplish-red color, which looked particularly terrifying.

"Call an ambulance." After making the assessment, the doctor quickly and simply treated Tang Li's abrasions.

Meng Wan heard these words as soon as she arrived, and her expression darkened even more. She knelt down in front of Tang Li and examined his wounds.

"Who are you?" The doctor was taken aback by Meng Wan's question.

“We are Tang Li’s family members. She is Tang Li’s older sister and Chen Xiong’s apprentice,” Yan Nian explained immediately, afraid that the doctor would object.

"Chen Xiong?" The doctor was somewhat skeptical. Chen Xiong's influence in the entire medical community was not to be underestimated, but at present, everyone only knew that he had a disciple who was in university, and vaguely remembered that he was a boy.
