When the three of them arrived, there weren't many people in the store. At one of the tables were three children, one of whom was a head bigger than them.
"Wanwan, you're so polite?" Qin Yi, the cashier, was the first to notice the two. "This must be Aunt Liu, right?"
The three people who heard the noise also turned around.
"Tang Wan!" Tang Li waved and got off the chair. Meng Zhiyao followed closely behind. Zhao Tianqi, who looked bewildered, also came over after the two of them got off.
Meng Wan rubbed Tang Li's head and looked at Meng Zhiyao.
How are you doing?
Meng Zhiyao nodded and tugged at Zhao Tianqi, who was standing to the side.
"A new friend?" Meng Wan and Zhao Tianqi met eyes, and the latter's eyes lit up as he greeted Meng Wan politely.
"Hello, sister. My name is Zhao Tianqi."
"What new friend? Pshaw! He almost made Meng Zhiyao cry this morning!" Tang Li said dismissively.
Meng Wan looked at Meng Zhiyao, who shook her head.
"Misunderstanding, misunderstanding! I didn't bully Zhiyao, otherwise why would Zhiyao bring me here, right, Zhiyao?" Zhao Tianqi hurriedly explained, as if afraid of leaving a bad impression on Meng Wan.
Meng Zhiyao nodded, and was about to speak when Tang Li interrupted her.
"Tch, you clearly hitched a ride with me to get here."
"Tang Li!" Seeing that the two were about to fight, Meng Wan grabbed Tang Li's head.
"Go get something to eat, we'll talk about your business later."
Tang Li pursed his lips, and only then did he notice Aunt Liu behind Meng Wan.
"Second Young Master."
"Aunt Liu? What are you doing here?" Tang Li asked, his hands behind his back, giving off a mature and authoritative air.
"Second Young Master, I...I've resigned. I won't be working for the Tang family anymore."
"Resigned? Was it because that woman pushed you? Did she fire you? Then come back with me, I'll back you up! How could that woman be so vicious? Did she want to sell my Tyrannosaurus Rex? And she even pushed you. No wonder they say the most poisonous heart is a woman's."
As soon as Tang Li finished speaking, Meng Wan gave him a sharp rap on the head.
What are you doing! Am I wrong?
"Think about whether the last sentence is right or wrong!"
Tang Li realized he had misspoke and awkwardly touched his nose.
"I wasn't talking about you guys..." Tang Li muttered, then silently retreated after receiving a warning look from Meng Wan.
"It's Tang Zhiyi again?" Qin Yi forced a smile, but it looked very stiff.
Having worked for the Tang family for so many years, Aunt Liu naturally couldn't speak ill of her former employer's daughter, so she could only give an awkward smile.
"I know about this," Meng Wan said expressionlessly.
"Tang Zhiyi tried to sell Tang Li's dog while Tang Li and we were at the amusement park. The Tyrannosaurus Rex was smart enough to run into the house for shelter. Unfortunately, Aunt Liu came out to stop her, and before long, Tang Zhiyi pushed her down the steps, breaking her leg."
Qin Yi and Meng Zhili looked stunned, their eyes filled with even greater disappointment.
"That's perfect, so I've told you everything. Yesterday, I went out to settle scores with Tang Zhiyi. I didn't do anything to her, I just dislocated her shoulder so she could experience the pain..."
"What?" Qin Yi and Meng Zhili looked surprised. Meng Wan thought they were blaming her for touching their precious adopted daughter.
"Did you leave any evidence?" Meng Zhili's question startled Meng Wan for a moment.
"What?"
“Yes, what if she reports you for doing this? No, no, call Zhiyuan back right away and we’ll discuss a plan. We can’t let anyone find a handle against us.”
"Huh?" Meng Wan didn't know what to say for a moment.
"What? Zhili, hurry, call Zhiyuan and tell him to find a way to ask for leave and come back."
"Aren't you going to talk about the time I dislocated Tang Zhiyi's shoulder?"
"Silly child, that's exactly what I wanted to talk about!" Qin Yi had a look on her face that said, 'This child is usually so clever, why is his IQ suddenly offline?'
“What if she goes to get a medical examination for injuries and then sues you? We need to prepare a plan in advance. "Aunt Liu, I've raised her for 17 years, and she's turned out like this... Sigh, I'm so sorry, I'm really sorry. How's your hand?"
Qin Yi looked apologetic. Although she had given up hope on Tang Zhiyi, she had indeed raised her and was responsible for her personality.
"It's alright, madam. I'm just a rough person. I'll be fine in a few days. My old bones aren't up to it anymore. When I was younger, it would have been just a minor injury."
"Oh dear, calling me Madam is too much of a compliment. Just call me Qin Yi. Wanwan told me that once you've recovered, you can come over directly. Wanwan said you're very capable and has been praising you to me. With you here, I can finally breathe a sigh of relief."
"Are you busy? If not, would you like to try my cooking?"
The two talked as they walked upstairs. Behind them were a somewhat bewildered Meng Wan, a smiling Meng Zhili watching them go upstairs, and three children huddled in a corner eating desserts.
"Aren't you going to tell me about how I hurt Tang Zhiyi?" Meng Wan was prepared, but the two of them caught her off guard.
