Tang Li seemed angry. He puffed out his cheeks, stopped eating, threw down his fork, and slumped down like a tycoon with his arms crossed.
Meng Wan glanced at Tang Li out of the corner of her eye.
"Next time I'll come openly and honestly. What's the point of sneaking out every day? If I get kidnapped one day, I'll cry my eyes out and no one will know."
"I understand," Tang Li replied softly, as some images flashed before his eyes.
Knowing that Tang Li still remembered that incident, Meng Wan felt a little relieved. Knowing that she was scared, she wouldn't dare to act recklessly like that again next time.
The phone vibrated; Meng Wan had just finished eating.
"Let's go, I'll take you down." Meng Wan took the rope and reached out one hand to Tang Li.
Tang Li was still just a child; he tried to pretend he didn't care, but the corners of his mouth couldn't be suppressed as he turned up. The moment he held her hand, he even gave Meng Zhiyao a smug look.
The latter showed no expression, simply putting down his fork silently and remaining seated at the table.
"Meng Zhiyao, go back to your room and check on things after you finish eating." Meng Wan was being pulled by a person and a dog, and only had time to leave these words before going out.
"Don't pull, go close the door, don't get your hand caught."
"Okay, you nagging devil."
"Mom, I'm leaving." Meng Wan remembered to say goodbye just before closing the door.
Qin Yi responded and came out just as the door clicked shut. Turning around, she found the dining table was already empty.
"This child..." Qin Yi glanced at the closed door and muttered to herself, but instead of going over, she started clearing the table.
In the room, Meng Zhiyao put the bag aside and picked up the whole box of paint on the table. It was the latest paint from Cass, which Meng Wan had promised to buy for him whenever they went out together.
They were together all day, so Meng Wan had no time to prepare. The only possibility is that Meng Wan had already bought it.
