"Didn't you say that I always prioritize profit, and that I can endure humiliation more than anyone else as long as there's something to gain? Sun Lu's eyes were full of sincerity.
“Sun Lu, why do you only remember half of what I said? I already told you not to put all your hopes on one person, didn’t I?” Meng Wan tapped her fingers twice on her knees.
Sun Lu's face turned even paler.
"A deal has to be reciprocal. I can help you leave the Sun family and allow you and your daughter to go abroad with your share of the money. But in return, what can you do for me?"
Sun Lu choked, once again truly feeling her own weakness and incompetence.
"If you help me, I will never refuse to do anything you ask me to do in the future! I know I can't help you with anything right now, and I know that a verbal agreement is just a verbal agreement... Yes! My grandfather gave me three shops when I was born, and I can transfer them all to you!"
Sun Lu's eyes lit up immediately.
"Although the business has declined somewhat due to poor management, the area around the shops is undergoing renovations and a new commercial street will be built. Even if the three shops are struggling, they still generate a net profit of over a million yuan every year. I'll give you all three! I'm over 18, the property rights are in my hands, and I can transfer them to you directly!"

Meng Wan didn't reply and closed the door. Sun Lu, on the other hand, seemed to have a weight lifted from her heart. She lay exhausted on the bed, but a smile appeared on her lips.
Just a door away, Meng Wan lifted her foot to leave, only to find Yan Nian standing in the doorway at some point. He leaned against the wall and straightened up after Meng Wan came out.
Meng Wan was startled. Yan Nian patted her head reassuringly and then picked up her arm, which had been reddened by Sun Lu's touch.
"They're all red," Yan Nian muttered, her tone tinged with dissatisfaction.
"It will disappear in a moment."
Yan Nian didn't say anything, but her eyes were full of heartache.
There are plenty of ways to get her shops.
Since they were at school, the two simply walked side by side without any overly intimate gestures.
Meng Wan knew he was still angry about Sun Lu pinching her hand and leaving several red marks.
She smiled, a slight curve to her lips, and gently patted the back of his hand. The gesture was subtle and suggestive, yet it carried the pure emotions appropriate for someone her age.
"Shops are one of the reasons."
Yan Nian's ears turned red, and she coughed lightly twice, pressing the back of her hand to her lips. "Because of her father?"
Meng Wan nodded, "The cheating man was jumping around in front of me, all smug and self-satisfied, which was really annoying."
Yan Nian nodded in agreement. "Are you going over there later? I'll go with you."
Knowing that Tang Zhiyi would be looking for her, Meng Wan definitely wouldn't back down. Yan Nian was once again glad that she had come along; otherwise, given Meng Wan's personality, she would have definitely left before the appointed time was up.
"Are you done with your work?" Meng Wan knew he had a lunch gathering and other meetings in the afternoon.
"It's not important." Yan Nian knew that Meng Wan wouldn't believe him even if he said he was done with his work, so he simply started to act like a liar.
"It's nothing, I'll take care of it quickly."
Yan Nian knew that Meng Wan didn't intend to let anyone else get involved.
"At least I need to stay outside and keep my phone on. If I hang up, I'll go back inside immediately."
Meng Wan also knew that this was Yan Nian's final concession.
Both parties are willing to compromise on their own matters, but only on the premise of ensuring each other's safety and health. However, when something involves their personal safety, there is only one answer, regardless of whether the other party is willing to get involved!
Meng Wan nodded, agreeing with Yan Nian's approach.
"Oh, by the way, the sports meet ends tomorrow, and I have something for you," Yan Nian said mysteriously.

Meng Wan raised an eyebrow and didn't press the matter further.
Back on the playground, the two silently parted ways; one returned to the investment section, while the other sat back in his previous seat.
The timing was perfect; Blue Star had just reached the final run, this time to determine who would participate in tomorrow morning's 50m final. Running them together would have been like running a long-distance race, too physically demanding, so it was postponed to tomorrow.
As soon as Meng Wan sat down, Lan Xing seemed to sense it and looked over, raising his hand to greet her.
Meng Wan nodded and waved symbolically.
The morning sports meet concluded with Blue Star winning the final round.
