Chapter 173 Doesn't Belong to Her

"What are you doing standing here?"

Rong Anning just came out of the room and saw Shen Zhiyu standing at the edge of the living room, staring blankly at the kitchen. He complained angrily, "Come back earlier to accompany Yunjie. You have to attend social events every day... You have endless business to do, but you only have one wife!"

Shen Zhiyu came back to his senses, but just glanced at her lightly, said nothing, turned around and walked upstairs, "I'm going to take a shower."

"Eh? ...You're playing dumb again."

Rong Anning muttered something, shook his head helplessly, and turned into the kitchen.

Not long after, Shen Zhiyu finished taking a shower and went downstairs. As soon as he reached the kitchen door, he heard a low argument coming from inside.

"I don't want it...I really don't want it." Zhou Yunjie's voice was a little stubborn.

"No, you must take it!" Rong Anning's tone did not allow for refusal.

Zhou Yunjie's voice dropped. "I really can't accept it. You've already given me a lot."

"Be obedient, good boy. Mom can't bear to see you suffer any injustice, so you must take it..." Rong Anning's tone softened a little, but she still insisted.

“…”

There was a silence.

Shen Zhiyu turned to the door and saw the bank card in Rong Anning's hand.

He walked over slowly with his hands in his trouser pockets, took the card, pulled Zhou Yunjie's hand and placed it in her palm, "Since it's given to you, keep it."

He lowered his eyes to look at her, his tone brooking no refusal.

Zhou Yunjie struggled for a moment, but found that although Shen Zhiyu seemed to be holding his wrist loosely, he was actually using some strength.

"You...let go."

She frowned slightly, looked up, and ran into Shen Zhiyu's bottomless gaze.

Shen Zhiyu didn't move at all, but just pressed the bank card into her palm again, "Put the card away."

Zhou Yunjie was silent for a moment, his eyelashes trembling slightly.

"Let go first."

"If you accept it, I'll let you go."

Hearing these somewhat shameless words, Zhou Yunjie's eyebrows showed some annoyance, but when he glanced at Rong Anning who was watching the fun on the side, he quietly retreated.

"The soup is getting cold."

She reminded softly, with a hint of helpless compromise in her tone.

Shen Zhiyu only said "hmm" at this point, but he still held her wrist tightly and pulled her to the dining table.

After finishing a bowl of soup, Zhou Yunjie's palms were sweating from being squeezed by him. She struggled a few times, but his grip was tightened even more. In the end, she could only let him do what he wanted.

Sister Ying and Rong Anning had already gone to the living room.

There were only two people sitting quietly in the restaurant, and occasionally there was the crisp sound of a spoon hitting a bowl.

"Don't you have anything to ask?"

Zhou Yunjie could feel Shen Zhiyu's thumb gently caressing the skin on her wrist. The subtle itch penetrated through her skin and flesh to her limbs and bones, and finally gathered in her heart.

His face was calm, but his heart was in turmoil.

She drooped her eyelashes, her palms unconsciously clenched into fists, and her teeth lightly bit her lower lip.

She looked up and found Shen Zhiyu looking at her thoughtfully. She looked away and pretended to look at the bowl in front of him, "No. Are you done drinking? I want to go upstairs and rest."

The first sentence is to answer his question, and the second sentence is to remind him to relax himself.

The man looked at her for a long time with a kind look in his eyes, then slowly let go of her hand.

Once freed, Zhou Yunjie hurriedly stood up and walked out, but was stopped by Shen Zhiyu, "You didn't take the card."

"It's not mine, I can't have it."

This sentence was said to him and also to myself.

The bank card does not belong to her.

Shen Zhiyu...doesn't belong to her either.
