Chapter 203 What are your plans?
Shen Zhiyu looked at Zhou Yunjie's flustered back, with a faint smile on the corner of his mouth.
His phone vibrated in his pocket. He took it out and took a look. The driver, Lao Chen, had sent a message asking when he would be picked up. He glanced at the woman busy in the kitchen and replied with a few words.
"No need to come over."
Having just moved here, Zhou Yunjie was not familiar with the surrounding vegetable markets and supermarkets, so he did not prepare too many ingredients for his home, only some pre-made fast meals ordered online.
She quickly defrosted two steaks and cooked some pasta. When she was done, she remembered she had forgotten to add black pepper to the sauce. As she was tiptoeing to reach for the bottle on the top of the cupboard, a hand suddenly reached out from behind and grabbed it before her.
The light scent of cedar came from behind, and Zhou Yunjie instantly felt the tips of his ears slightly warm.
After taking the bottle of black pepper, she realized that their posture was too intimate. She tilted her head upwards, and Shen Zhiyu just happened to look down, with only a breath of distance between them.
Her heart beat uncontrollably twice, she looked away in panic, said "thank you", squatted down and got out from under Shen Zhiyu's arm.
After concentrating on frying the steak and thickening the pasta sauce, Zhou Yunjie reluctantly brought the things to the coffee table.
"The place is small and there's no dining table. You'll have to make do with it."
It's just a compromise.
Shen Zhiyu pursed his lips and said, "You make it sound like I'm so high and mighty and out of touch with reality."

Although he thought so in his heart, Zhou Yunjie did not refute. He sat silently on the other side of the sofa and started eating his steak.
"You can actually live in Shen Garden forever." Shen Zhiyu suddenly said, looking at Zhou Yunjie on the other side, "If it's because of me, I can go back to Junting to live."

"What are your plans for the future?" he asked.
Zhou Yunjie finally turned his head to look at him, "Which aspect are you referring to?"
"Yunding... the lawsuit... life after divorce," Shen Zhiyu was silent for a moment, then said, "everything..."
"I haven't thought that far ahead." Zhou Yunjie smiled a rare smile that night. "First, let's fix the Yun Ding, then bring Mom back to Shanghai for treatment. As for the rest... we'll just take it one step at a time."
At this moment, Shen Zhiyu looked at the outline of her profile, but his chest felt like it was weighed down by a heavy stone.
"...Chen Zhiyu..." She suddenly turned around and called his name, "You promised me...you would do it, right?"

Zhou Yunjie then lowered his head with relief and continued to cut the steak on the plate.
The rest of the meal was quiet, with only the occasional scrape of knife and fork across the plate.
After dinner, Zhou Yunjie went to the kitchen to clean up the dishes, and Shen Zhiyu sat quietly on the sofa looking at his phone.
The rain outside the window was getting heavier and heavier. The lightning in the clouds was like sharp swords, occasionally crossing the sky, accompanied by deafening thunder.
Zhou Yunjie came out of the kitchen and leaned against the window to watch the heavy rain. Suddenly, he turned around and asked, "Can't Lao Chen come pick you up?"
Shen Zhiyu looked away from his phone, examined her for a moment, and replied in a deep voice, "Then you should take a rest."
After saying that, he put away his phone and walked out with his coat.
