Chapter 236 Meeting Encounter

Chapter 236 Meeting Encounter

Zhou Yunjie spent the next period of time dodging and evading. But she and Shen Zhiyu had some intersections at work, so how could she possibly avoid them?

Just before Christmas, Shanghai's tourism and culture sector organized a high-profile summit. Participating companies ranged from five-star hotels to restaurant chains, along with some of the most popular social media-savvy galleries and cultural and creative institutions. All the leading companies involved in the tourism and culture sector received gilded invitations.

The organizer deliberately chose a century-old hotel on the Bund. This is not only an industry exchange, but also an important integration of personal connections at the end of the year, so Xinglai and Yunding attach great importance to it.

As Yunding’s marketing manager, Zhou Yunjie was naturally among those invited.

She carefully studied the meeting agenda and found that this time there would not only be a cultural and tourism project promotion session, but also a roundtable discussion on new trends in cultural consumption during the economic downturn.

This is the problem she is eager to solve recently.

Her idea was quite simple. She was definitely going to take Yunding back. She was going to do more preliminary work now so that she would be more comfortable with brand promotion and event planning after her return.

Although the current performance is still about 15% lower than the figure promised during the negotiations with Shen Zhiyu, Zhou Yunjie thought that if he could take advantage of the platform built by the Cultural and Tourism Bureau, he might be able to get access to some high-quality resources, and it might not be impossible to achieve the expectations.

At least it seems there is hope.

Thinking of this, she became as excited as if she had been injected with chicken blood.

Qi Xiuping was attending the conference with her. When they arrived at the venue, they basically didn't recognize anyone except a few colleagues they had met before.

Zhou Yunjie sat in her reserved seat, boredly flipping through the meeting materials. After waiting for over twenty minutes, Qi Xiuping still hadn't shown up. Seeing the countdown on the big screen with only fifteen minutes left, she finally couldn't help but pull out her phone, intending to call Qi Xiuping.

As soon as I found the address book, I heard a series of exclamations, and then I felt that many people around me stood up and walked in one direction.

Zhou Yunjie looked up in confusion, and saw a slender figure standing against the light in the shadow at the entrance of the venue.

His tall, straight figure, framed by a black tailored suit, was enveloped in soft light, appearing indescribably carefree and unrestrained. Many guests, who had been chatting amongst themselves, seemed drawn by invisible threads as they dropped their documents and stood up to walk in that direction. Some enthusiastically greeted him with handshakes, others busily handed out business cards and introduced themselves, while still others held up their phones, seemingly asking for contact information.

The man in the center of the crowd had a decent smile on his face, but his eyes accurately fell on her face, overcoming many obstacles.

Their eyes met, their gazes meeting across the air.

After a moment, Zhou Yunjie dodged first.

She sat back in her seat and continued to read the meeting materials.

After a while, the meeting host came on stage and reminded everyone to return to their seats as the meeting was about to begin.

Zhou Yunjie sat at the back, with the seat next to her originally reserved for Qi Xiuping. But now that the big boss had arrived, it seemed Qi Xiuping wouldn't be coming. She picked up her bag, intending to give it to someone who hadn't found a seat yet.

As soon as I put the bag on my legs, I heard a slight sound of clothes rubbing against each other beside me.

She was slightly startled, turned her head and looked, and was met with a pair of deep eyes...

The man who was supposed to sit in the first row was staring at her with a half-smile, his eyes full of amusement and depth.
