Chapter 235 Princess-like Treatment

Chapter 235 Princess-like Treatment

They spent the whole morning chatting and snacking at Sumi's villa. When it was lunchtime, Sumi instructed the chef to bring the food directly to the villa.

This is the first time I've experienced such high-end treatment since the apocalypse, so it's quite novel.

When lunch was delivered, the doorbell rang.

Mancang was small, but quick on his feet, and ran to open the villa gate.

I quickly walked a couple of steps toward the villa entrance, thinking I'd pick up the food.

When the door was opened, I was somewhat shocked.

Six canteen staff members wearing aprons stood neatly at the entrance, each carrying a plate of food.

The man in the lead smiled as he saw the door open and said, "Miss, the meal is ready. Would you like to eat downstairs or upstairs?"

Sumi, who was referred to as the young lady, replied with a friendly smile, "Just leave it downstairs, thank you for your trouble."

The six people didn't say much, but respectfully placed the six dishes on the table and then quietly withdrew.

As they reached the door, the last person said, "Enjoy your meal."

Although six dishes isn't too extravagant, I was still shocked by the scale of the event.

This isn't just a young lady; this is definitely princess treatment.

The six dishes were still steaming hot, and Su Mi urged me to eat.

The meal wasn't luxurious, but it was still quite plentiful.

Pine nut and corn soup, stir-fried pork with chili peppers, sweet and sour pork, stir-fried seasonal vegetables, hot and sour shredded potatoes, and stewed potatoes and green beans.

It had both meat and vegetables, and the colors looked great; it really whetted my appetite.

Neither Sumi nor I were polite; we picked up large pieces of sweet and sour pork and stuffed them into our mouths.

Sumi's mouth was stuffed full, and her cheeks were puffing out, which was very cute.

She mumbled, "Mmm~ Delicious! My usual standard is four dishes, but you added two more today."

Mancang was very polite and well-mannered. Although he ate his food in large bites, his table manners were quite good.

I always felt that when Mancang grew up, he would become a polite gentleman.

"Even though it's the end of the world, you can still live so well. You really are a young lady."

I spoke with emotion, but my eating speed didn't slow down at all.

I must say, the chefs at the Eagle Base cook really well; the food tastes just like what you'd find in a restaurant.

“When I’m out and about, I just eat at the restaurant. I only have them deliver to the villa when I’m too lazy to move around.”

Sumi was afraid I would think she was extravagant, so she explained her daily eating habits to me in detail.

I nodded, and she continued, "And now I have someone to eat with!"

I raised an eyebrow, clearly guessing who her dining companion was.

I knew that Sumi would take good care of Mancang because of me, but I really didn't expect Mancang to be treated so well.

Not only do they have their own private rooms to stay in, but they can also enjoy meals cooked in small pots.

While I was still letting my imagination run wild, Su Mi chuckled: "Can't guess it, can you! It's Mancang!"

I could only feign surprise and give a thumbs up: "Wow! That's absolutely amazing!"

Perhaps Sumi is willing to be friends with me because I can provide her with emotional support.

I'm willing to be friends with Sumi because she's both silly and naive.

It couldn't be because she's rich!

After lunch, feeling a bit bloated, Su Mi suggested that they take their trays to the cafeteria together, saving the staff from making another trip and giving them a chance to stroll around.

I thought the suggestion was excellent, so I carefully carried a stack of plates out of the villa.

I now have some understanding of a small part of the terrain at the Eagle Base.

When we arrived at the cafeteria, we took our trays to the kitchen and strolled around the restaurant.

The canteen at the Eagle Base is very large, and the tables and chairs are all of the same style, making it look very formal.

From any perspective, the Eagle Base is larger than the White Town Base.

Of course, each has its own advantages, but I always feel that the Baizhen base has a stronger sense of community.

While chatting with Sumi, he went to the car to get the wine for Sumi's father, as well as the clothes and snacks he had made for Mancang.

Perhaps Mancang didn't lack these things at the Eagle Base, but when he took the clothes and snacks from my hands, he couldn't hide his joy.

"Are they all for me, Aunt Cheng?"

"Yes, they're all for you."

I touched Mancang's hair; it felt as soft as ever. What a good boy.

Sumi was a little unhappy: "What? Everyone else has one, but I don't?"

Although his appearance has changed, his personality hasn't changed at all; he still gets jealous of children.

I pulled an orange sweater and a bright red scarf out of the car.

"Here, I knitted this for you myself."

Sumi has everything she needs, but she loves these little trinkets like sweaters and scarves the most.

This yarn is the best quality of all the yarns I've ever bought. The clothes and scarves made from it are so soft and squishy that your fingers can sink into them.

Sumi kept kneading the sweater and scarf with her hands, her smile growing wider and wider: "This is so comfortable, it must have been very tiring."

As he spoke, he leaned closer to me.

After she had rested for a while, she took the wine and headed towards Sumi's father's office.

Sumi's father was very welcoming to me, after all, I was his daughter's only friend.

After chatting for a while, I gave them some wine to express my gratitude and then left.

I'm going to go check out Mancang's room; I won't feel at ease until I see it for myself.

Many people live in this villa, but they are probably all busy right now, as there aren't many people coming and going.

I followed Mancang and Sumi up to the third floor. Mancang's room was the second one on the east side of the third floor.

It is said that his master stayed in the first room.

That's good, it ensures the safety of the full warehouse.

The fact that the teacher lived next door was somewhat of a nightmare.

Pushing open the door and going inside, the room was fairly warm and looked to be about 50 square meters.

There is a separate toilet with a shower on the right side of the entrance.

Further inside, there's a small sofa with a coffee table, and opposite the sofa are two wardrobes and a display case.

Mancang displayed all the comic books he brought in the display case, and they looked quite presentable.

At the very back is a bed. It's not as extravagant as Sumi's bed, but it's not small either; it's spacious enough for an adult to sleep in.

There is a window next to the bed, and a writing desk is placed next to the window.

This is exactly the bedroom I dreamed of when I was a child. Although it's not very luxurious, the layout is absolutely perfect.

Mancang is really lucky.

I nodded in satisfaction, and Su Mi said with an extremely proud expression, "How about it? Not bad, right?"

"Absolutely perfect!"

Mancang was rather quiet today, but when I praised him like that, he finally spoke up: "Yes, I like it very much too."

I looked around and asked, "Is this room cleaned daily? How come it's so clean?"

Upon hearing this, Mancang looked somewhat pleased: "I cleaned all of this myself."
