Chapter 90 Despair

Chapter 90 Despair

Just as Xiaogua was about to launch an attack, I suddenly pushed open the windshield door.

Xiaogua might be able to handle one or two people.

But these were three burly men, each wielding a long stick. If I didn't step in, Xiao Gua would definitely die a horrible death at the hands of these thugs.

I simply turned on the porch lights and the yard lights, and walked outside the windshield.

When Xiao Gua saw me come out, it was obvious that it was no longer so tense, and its cries were more confident.

I wanted to call Xiaogua over, but it was blocked at the gate by several people and couldn't get through at all.

"Stealing around in the middle of the night, aren't you afraid I'll shoot you blind?"

I shouted out my confidence, loaded the compound bow with steel balls, and aimed at them.

If we can scare them away directly, that would be ideal.

There was one person inside the courtyard and two people on the wall. When they saw all the lights on the wall turn on, they panicked and retreated.

However, after a moment of nervousness, the two people on the wall jumped into the courtyard.

It seems they can't be intimidated.

"I advise you to be sensible and hand over all the grain in your house. We are not good people."

One of the men brandished a dagger in his hand, the cold glint of which flashed right into my eyes.

I quickly calculated in my mind that they had knives, but short ones.

Even if I hand over the grain to them, I doubt they'll let me off the hook.

A desperate fight might offer a glimmer of hope.

Without wasting any words, I aimed the compound bow directly at the upper body of the man who had spoken.

I'm afraid I won't be able to hit it. If I miss, I'm doomed. My upper body has the largest surface area, so the chances of hitting it are the greatest.

She steadied herself, pulled back sharply, and released her grip, sending the steel ball slamming into the man with a thud.

The man stumbled and fell to his knees, clutching his chest in pain.

At this moment, Xiao Di also came out of the door and barked loudly, perhaps sensing the threat as well.

Seeing this, the other two men took a step back and hesitated, remaining where they were.

But after a short while, the man kneeling on the ground stood up again, clutching his chest.

"Heh, you think this little bit of damage can blind me? Look how thick I'm wearing, you little brat."

It seems that men wear thick clothes in winter, so even the most lethal steel balls can't penetrate very deeply.

I quickly shot another arrow at his head, but it missed.

The men's laughter grew even more arrogant.

At that moment, I started to panic. I realized how weak my defenses were. I had no stamina and no powerful weapons.

But it's too late to regret it now.

While the man was running towards me, I reached behind me, pulled out the spiked club from the windshield, and swung it around in the air a few times.

I haven't made any progress in other areas during this period, but I still have strength.

The three men, each holding a dagger, were constantly looking for an opportunity to strike. At that moment, I had absolutely no idea what was going on.

Having never had any real combat experience, I usually just practiced by swinging my arms around randomly. Facing the attack of three men, I felt like I was doomed.

Regardless of whether they are doomed or not, they still have to resist.

I gripped the spiked club tightly, staring at the three men, ready to launch the first attack at any moment.

When Xiao Gua saw the man walking towards me with a knife, she suddenly rushed out, bared her sharp teeth, and bit the man's thigh.

"Beast!"

The man cried out in pain, cursed loudly, and punched Xiaogua on the head before violently swinging his leg to the side.

The little melon was tossed around like a tattered sack.

Seeing this, the man punched again, sending Xiao Gua flying. He landed heavily on the ground, his head drooping, unable to get up for a long time.

Seeing Little Melon beaten like this broke my heart, but the two men in front of me blocked my way, so I couldn't rush over to save it.

The soft fear the hard, and the hard fear the reckless.

With a determined heart, I mustered all my strength and swung the spiked club at the three men.

A stick struck the man who kicked Xiaogua on the shoulder, tearing a bloody gash in his clothes, and he fell to the ground sideways.

Seeing this, the other two men quickly stepped forward, trying to subdue me.

As I swung my spiked club at one man, another man's dagger simultaneously pierced my right arm.

It turned out that being stabbed by a dagger didn't hurt as much as I had imagined; it just felt cool and numb.

As the dagger was pulled out, it was covered in red blood.

It didn't hurt, but I was a little scared. However, I didn't have time to be scared, so I swung the spiked club at the person who stabbed me.

"You little brat, you're too easy to handle. I'll take you down and deal with you in no time. I'll stew and eat these beasts too."

The first man I hit lay on the ground and slowly got up, while directing the two men and uttering filthy words.

At this moment, I felt isolated and helpless, and a sense of despair arose within me.

They're dead, so be it. But I'm worried about my little potatoes and melons. What if they really get stewed and eaten?

I swung my spiked club with all my might at the three men, keeping them from dealing with Xiao Di and Xiao Gua.

"Hurry up! Little Di and Little Gua, hurry up!"

While dealing with the three of them, I shouted loudly for them to leave.

But how could the little ones understand what I meant? They only knew that their master was threatened, and they were only thinking about protecting me.

Little Gua wobbled to her feet, then lunged at a man and bit his arm hard.

The man cried out in pain, and when he couldn't shake the knife off, he swung the hand holding the dagger away.

I watched helplessly as that sinister dagger pierced Xiaogua's neck.

Little Gua let out a pitiful scream, collapsed to the ground, and never got up again.

The man, still seething with anger, raised his leg, intending to kick Xiaogua.

Seeing that Xiao Gua couldn't stand up and was about to be beaten, Xiao Di also pounced on the man and bit his arm tightly.

The man had no choice but to retract his raised foot and punch the little earth in the stomach again and again, but it just wouldn't let go.

Xiao Di stared fiercely at the man, as if she had gone mad; I could even see blood trickling from the corner of her mouth.

After an unknown amount of time, Xiao Di finally lost his strength and was thrown against the wall by the man. His back slammed hard against the wall, and after letting out a shrill scream, he fell silent.

The man's arm was now a bloody mess, and he lay on the ground, rolling around while clutching his arm.

The two thugs beside me were not affected in any way by their companion's injury.

The two men were still staring at me menacingly, ready to subdue me at any moment.

Because I was distracted by looking at the ground, one of the men seized the opportunity. He quickly grabbed the spiked club in my hand and yanked it out forcefully.

Seeing this, another man quickly stepped forward and grabbed my hands.

I struggled frantically, but my hands were still bound by the rope.

At that moment, I felt that I could not escape at all, and that there was no point in continuing to resist.

There's no village or shop in sight; no one will come to my rescue.

The arm that had been stabbed by the dagger began to throb with pain. I slumped my shoulders helplessly, ceasing all struggle, and let him hold my hands together.
