Chapter 43 Police Officer



"Okay, I'll tell Dad first."

Xu Huan politely led Chen Nian to the police station office, while simultaneously calling the other party to come over.

As is customary, once both parties meet and agree on the compensation amount, the case is usually closed.

“I came to the property management office to pay my fees when I heard someone shouting ‘Stop thief!’ I saw the man run away, so I chased after him.”

In the heat of the moment, I accidentally knocked him unconscious.

Xu Huan realized that the weapon used to hit someone was a trash can that was readily available at the scene, indicating that it was indeed an action taken in a moment of panic.

He then asked, "Then why did you flee the scene after you hit someone?"

"I only realized I'd made a mistake after I finished hitting him, and I ran away because I was afraid of taking responsibility," Chen Nian said deliberately, sounding embarrassed.

Xu Huan finished writing it down on the paper, his tone much more relaxed: "Alright, you can go home now. Keep an eye on your phone these next few days; he might contact you to negotiate compensation."

"Don't run away next time something like this happens," Xu Huan patted Chen Nian on the shoulder.

This kid is a lot like me when I was young. Xu Huan was a little dazed as he watched Chen Nian's departing figure.

As Chen Nian walked out of the police station, a weight was finally lifted from his heart. It turned out the matter had been resolved so simply.

He had come up with countless reasons yesterday, but none of them worked. It seemed that Chu Xiang was also hiding something...

"Never mind, I can't worry about that now. At least Wang Feifei is safe." Chen Qing chuckled and walked towards the supermarket...
