Does anyone know whose daughter that is?
"It seems she doesn't live in the West District; I've never seen her before."
When Zhao Qian saw the messages in the group chat, he could almost guess who they were talking about. This was a rare opportunity!
"Yes, she doesn't live in the West District. She lives in the East District. Yesterday, when we went out to buy supplies, she didn't seem to participate. Maybe she already has a lot of stuff at home."
This statement immediately caused an uproar in the group:
"Yes, no wonder I saw her coming back from outside early this morning with her hands full of vegetables. She must have plenty of supplies."
"I don't know if she's in the group chat."
Zhao Qian glanced at Wang Xiuli, who was still sleeping, and already had a plan in mind.
"There's no point in everyone saying anything. Maybe she's not even in the group. How about I take you to her place and ask her to share some of our food?"
"Okay, okay, do you know where she lives?"
"I know, I'll take you there."
Seeing this, Wang Feifei knew they would be arriving soon, and she couldn't let them come so easily.
She went up to the attic, filled a large bucket with wastewater from the water tank, and then went down to the elevator lobby on the first floor and splashed the water onto the ground!
The entire elevator lobby was instantly flooded. Wang Feifei went out, poured the remaining water back up at the doorway, and then took the elevator upstairs.
"Hahaha, it's below zero outside, let's see if you guys survive the fall!"
Wang Feifei stood at the window with binoculars, and it took a long time before she could see six people. The snow outside was too deep, and the journey had been too difficult; they were shivering from the cold.
Leading the way was that disgusting guy from the East District. He was wearing a ski suit and walking at the front, and he even had skis under his feet. He was definitely prepared.
With this gear, they could pass through even the heaviest snow without hindrance, and Wang Feifei's eyes lit up.
But the others weren't so lucky; they just tied a board to the sole of their shoes and walked with a stop-and-go pace.
Wang Feifei looked at the board and smiled...
Soon she heard several heavy sounds coming from downstairs: "Bang... Clang..."
"Ouch...ouch...ah...oh dear!"
"Aaaaaah... What is this?!"
"Bang... Ouch..."
The sounds of people falling down were incessant, which Wang Feifei found extremely satisfying. "Let's see if you dare to come and cause trouble again!"
The elevator lobby floor was covered with a thin layer of ice, and the soles of their shoes had no friction at all, so they slipped and fell hard with every step.
Zhao Qian also fell to the ground. Realizing something was wrong, he shouted, "The ground is icy. Don't get up, crawl forward!"
The group also discovered the ice on the ground and could only crawl forward by supporting themselves with their arms. They finally made it to the elevator and entered it.
Finally, the ice was gone, and they stood up, only to realize that one person was missing.
"Where is my dad?" a neighbor shouted.
They looked up and saw a person lying on the porch, who looked like he had fallen and hadn't gotten up, just lying there.
"You've probably broken it. You should go check on it right away! Honestly, why did you bring an old person along?"
The man was seething with anger. He had thought he could get some food this time, and he figured that having more people would be more helpful, and maybe he could even grab an extra serving of vegetables.
So when his father suggested coming along, he didn't stop him. But this happened as soon as they entered the building. If he hadn't gone upstairs with his father, the trip would have been pointless.
No, we can't give up this opportunity. Let's go upstairs first and talk about it when we get back.
He pressed the close button on the elevator: "Let's go up first, and we'll come back to see my dad."
The elevator fell silent. The neighbors looked at each other, then thought, "Never mind, even his own father doesn't care, so there's nothing more for us to say."
Zhao Qian pressed "28", and the five of them went up together.
Before they got off the elevator, Zhao Qian stopped them, squatted down and touched the ground: "No ice, safe, let's go."
The five people arrived at Wang Feifei's door.
"Open the door! Open the door! Open the door now!"
Wang Feifei ignored it and went straight downstairs. She figured she'd rather use that time to think about what to have for lunch…
They banged on the door for ages, but there was no response from inside. What happened?
They looked at Zhao Qian suspiciously: "Are you sure she lives here? Did you go inside? How come there wasn't a sound?"
Zhao Qian shook his head: "I've never been inside either. I've seen her moving goods, and I've also seen the lights on in her house."
"What? Are you kidding us! You don't even know where she lives, and you just brought us here!" The neighbor whose father had fallen angrily shoved Zhao Qian.
Zhao Qian was furious at the push and was about to lash out, but seeing the other neighbors glaring at him, he suppressed his temper and came up with another idea:
"Don't worry, everyone. How can we live without electricity in this cold weather? Let's go to the main meter and see which meter is running. That will tell us where she lives."
"Yes, that's one way."
So the group went back to the first floor, and the five of them climbed over the lobby to the control room. They observed for more than ten minutes, but not a single meter was moving.
Everyone was furious. They had almost died from a fall on this trip, only to find that the entire building was deserted!
Especially the old man at the door, when his son went to look for him, he found him drooling profusely, his eyes rolled back, as if he had suffered a stroke, and then been left there for a long time, now he is on the verge of death...
Enraged, he punched Zhao Qian twice and roared, "If anything happens to my dad, I'll make you pay with your life!"
Then they led their neighbor back the way they came. The old man had fallen and lost consciousness, so they could only help each other home. This trip had really taken a toll on them.
Zhao Qian slunk home as well. Wang Xiuli had already woken up. She had seen the messages in the group chat and knew that that damned man had gone out to cause trouble again!
