Chapter 89 The Beginning of the Nightmare

With so many people in the room, Hu Tianhao didn't want Shen Qingshan to lose face too much, so he had his men move Shen Qingshan to the sofa and said to Xu Neng:

"You two can get to know each other formally after he wakes up."

Then, he smiled and said to his trusted confidants, "Take Commander Xu to his residence."

After Xu Neng left, Hu Tianhao stared blankly at Shen Qingshan on the sofa. Compared to Xu Neng, Shen Qingshan looked much thinner, with dark circles under his eyes.

"So easily defeated, beauty can ruin everything, she's unlikely to amount to anything."

Hu Tianhao left angrily, instructing his apostle as he left, "When he wakes up, let him come to see me."

Not long after, Xiao Gao received a message from Xu Neng and surrendered with the rest of the group. All the supplies in the air-raid shelter were taken over by the "Frost Society".

Xu was able to secure a Level Two Apostle position for Xiao Gao, so that he could be by Xiao Gao's side and at his beck and call.

...

In Yujing City, Pan Xin had a very vivid dream: she dreamt that Xu Hui had returned.

Xu Hui walked to the bedside and saw the shackles on her feet. His eyes were filled with heartache. He leaned closer and gently stroked her hair, waking Pan Xin up.

Pan Xin opened her eyes and saw that familiar face. All the grievances welled up in her heart. She buried her face in his shoulder and cried uncontrollably.

"Brother Hui, why are you only coming back now? Can you take me with you?"

Xu Hui sat on the edge of the bed, holding Pan Xin tightly, wanting to meld her into his body, rubbing her earlobes, and gently stroking her back with his fingers to comfort her...

Overwhelmed with emotion, he cupped Pan Xin's face in his hands and kissed her passionately.

"Xin Xin, you've suffered so much these past few days. I'll take you away. Will you marry me?"

Pan Xin nodded excitedly, willing to do anything to escape Chu Xiang immediately.

Xu Hui's fingers gently caressed her, his kisses landing lightly on Pan Xin's lips, collarbone, and shoulder, then moving downwards...

This caused Pan Xin to lose control, and she let out a series of sounds from her throat.

Suddenly, Pan Xin smelled a strange odor, like fermented bean products that had been left out for too long...

It seems so...it is...

She suddenly opened her eyes and found herself lying in bed with a strange man on top of her!

It turned out that Chu Xiang's dosage was insufficient, and Pan Xin woke up midway through the treatment.

Pan Xin let out a scream of "Ah... Ah..." The heavy snow seemed to absorb all sounds, leaving a deathly silence.

She cried out, "Chu Xiang... Chu Xiang... save me!"

Then she stared intently at the door, hoping that Chu Xiang would come to save her, but there was no response.

In the end, all she could do was look at the man on top of her and beg him to let her go:

"Be good, don't move. I spent a lot of food and money to get this opportunity."

"Please, let me go! I'll give you all my money!"

The man grinned, his face crinkling with laughter. Ignoring Pan Xin's pleas, he leaned down and whispered in her ear:

"Don't move, you won't feel uncomfortable in a little while."

The bad breath mixed with the stench emanating from her skin made Pan Xin want to vomit.

She tried to break free, but her hands were firmly held onto the bed.

The man found the resistance in the way, so he tied her hands with a belt.

One of her feet was held in place by shackles, the metal digging into her flesh with each large movement, and the blood seeping out flowed down her ankle onto the sheets.

With only one lower leg free to kick, it actually gave the man a clue...

It wasn't until dawn that Yang Shuyun's husband finally got out of bed, his strength failing him and his calves still trembling.

It wasn't because of the time limit, but because I was afraid that if I went back too late, Yang Shuyun would find out.

He went straight out of the room, upstairs, and back home, crawling into the cold bed.

The cold body woke Yang Shuyun, who was sitting next to her: "Where have you been so early in the morning?"

"I went to the toilet, go to sleep now." Yang Shuyun's husband was too lazy to say another word and immediately fell into a deep sleep.

Pan Xin stared blankly at the ceiling, lying motionless on the bed.

After a while, I heard a knock on the door.

Chu Xiang came in carrying a towel and a washbasin.

He looked at Pan Xin, whose body was covered with bruises and welts, especially where the shackles were stuck, where blood had soaked the bed.

Chu Xiang felt a pang of heartache and quietly walked over:

"Xin Xin, are you alright?"

Pan Xin angrily turned her head away, not wanting to see that hypocritical and disgusting face.

As Chu Xiang untied her hands, he tried to comfort her, saying, "Xin Xin, don't blame me. With our food, we can't last more than a few days."

Pan Xin couldn't hold back her sobs, covering her face...

Chu Xiang gently wiped her body with a towel, then said:

"Look how cold the weather is getting, and the snow is so heavy. You don't know, things are in chaos outside. There are rioters everywhere looting things."

“I really can’t get food on my own. You’re eating and staying here for free, so you should make some contribution. I really have no other choice.”

After saying that, Chu Xiang also burst into tears.

Pan Xin's anger flared up, and she pointed at Chu Xiang, shouting:

"You're a beast! You're a beast! You deserve to die a horrible death!"

Chu Xiang was so angry that he slammed the towel into the basin, ran out, and then came back in carrying a basket of food.

"Look, this is the food we got in the exchange: eggs, green vegetables, potatoes, carrots... enough for us to eat for several days. Didn't you want to eat eggs? Look, there are more than a dozen eggs here."

Pan Xin looked at the food in the basket and broke down in tears, realizing that she had been degraded to such a lowly level.

Ignoring her feelings, Chu Xiang's eyes turned terrifying as he roared at her:

"Stop crying! Stop mourning! If you hadn't seduced me, would Wang Feifei and I have ended up like this?"

"Wang Feifei and I used to have such a great relationship, and you ruined it all! I've already been more than fair by not making you pay with your life!"
