Chapter 366 Yang Tiejun Comes to the Door

It was nearing evening, and the sky outside was gradually darkening.

In this extremely cold post-apocalyptic world, the roads are difficult to travel, and such a large-scale marching force traveling at night is a disaster.

The militia had stopped marching early and set up a temporary camp in a wasteland within the jurisdiction of Yangcheng.

The soldiers were busy and organized, some cooking, some setting up tents, and others building snow huts. Smoke curled upwards, mingling with the snowflakes in the cold wind to create a unique scene.

Watching the soldiers busily at work, Chen Yu was momentarily lost in thought, unsure of what he was thinking.

"Sir, Yangzhou is a wonderful place. As the ancients said, 'In the third month of spring, one should go down to Yangzhou.' It has always been a land of outstanding people and abundant resources," Lin Lele said leisurely.

Upon hearing this, Chen Yu said calmly, "What are you trying to say?"

"Hehe, I mean, since we're already here, why don't we grab it... or go into the city to help with disaster relief?" Lin Lele said expectantly.

"No!" Chen Yu interrupted Lin Lele firmly, his eyes revealing an unquestionable seriousness. "I forbid you from going to Yangcheng."

Hearing Chen Yu say this, Lin Lele looked surprised. Two days ago, when they were stationed outside other cities, she suggested leading troops into the city for "disaster relief," and Chen Yu did not refuse. Why is he acting so differently today?

"Why? Yangzhou is a prime target. We're already here, wouldn't it be a waste not to take advantage of it?" Lin Lele asked, puzzled.

Chen Yu sighed and said, "Yangcheng is, after all, within Yang Tiejun's sphere of influence. It's not appropriate for us to extend our reach there."

Actually, he was quite tempted by Yangcheng. Although Yangcheng was only considered a medium-to-high-end city in Daxia, as Lin Lele said, since he was already here, it was only a matter of taking advantage of the situation.

However, Yangcheng is right next to Nandu and is within Yang Tiejun's sphere of influence. Given his current relationship with Yang Yue, it's not a good idea for him to make a move.

Upon hearing Chen Yu's explanation, Lin Lele realized what was happening and had no choice but to give up her idea of entering Yangcheng, secretly regretting it.

"Who is Yang Tiejun? Is he very powerful?" Qiao Xin couldn't help but ask.

She had known Chen Yu and Lin Lele for a while, and this was the first time she had seen the two of them let the duck that was about to be eaten "fly away," and so unwillingly at that.

"Ahem!" Chen Yu coughed lightly and explained, "This Yang Tiejun used to be the police chief of Nandu. We met with him three months ago, and he's a pretty good person."

Upon hearing Chen Yu's explanation, Qiao Xin couldn't help but roll her eyes. She wasn't stupid; how could she possibly believe Chen Yu's nonsense?

She turned to look at Lin Lele, and saw that Lin Lele's eyes were also somewhat strange, so she said sarcastically, "You're not afraid of this Yang Tiejun, are you?"

"Afraid? Me, afraid of him?" Lin Lele immediately retorted, "I'm just giving Yueyue face!"

"Who is Yueyue?" Qiao Xin frowned.

Just then, a shout came from outside: "Chen Yu, you little bastard, come out here! You kidnapped my Yueyue and dare to come to my territory. If you don't hand over Yueyue today, I'll kill you!"

The sound was amplified by a loudspeaker, resounding throughout the entire camp, even causing the snow on the ground to tremble slightly.

Upon hearing this, Chen Yu's face immediately darkened. He summoned an officer and asked in a deep voice, "What's going on?"

“Mr. Chen, there were a few people looking for you outside the camp. The brothers saw that they looked unfriendly and not very calm, so they didn’t let them in. Who would have thought that he would just take out a megaphone…” The soldier explained somewhat awkwardly, clearly not expecting the other party to take such a direct and brutal approach, actually insulting Chen Yu in front of all the soldiers. It was simply a slap in Chen Yu’s face.

"Mr. Chen, rest assured, our brothers took that madman into custody immediately, and he's just waiting for your decision," the officer added.

"What?" Chen Yu's expression changed drastically, and he said anxiously, "Take me there quickly."

The officer dared not delay and quickly led the way for Chen Yu.

The group hurried through the layers of military camps and arrived at the outermost edge of the camp.

At this moment, Yang Tiejun and his subordinates, despite being handcuffed by the "militia soldiers," were still cursing and swearing, their faces full of indignation.

Upon seeing this, Chen Yu quickly went up to him with a smile and said, "Hehe~, Uncle Yang, what brings you here? I was just saying I'd visit you personally after dinner."

"Chen Yu, you've finally come out!" Yang Tiejun gritted his teeth and said, "I'll fight you to the death!"

As he spoke, he struggled violently, trying to break free of his restraints.

"What's wrong with you? How dare you treat my Uncle Yang like this? Untie him right now!" Chen Yu shouted at the "militiamen".

Upon hearing this, the soldiers exchanged glances, then realized what was happening and, without hesitation, quickly unlocked the handcuffs of Yang Tiejun and the others.

"It's a misunderstanding, Uncle Yang, it's all a misunderstanding!" Chen Yu quickly stepped forward and supported Yang Tiejun to prevent him from losing his balance due to being restrained for so long.

Yang Tiejun suddenly sprang to his feet, grabbed Chen Yu by the collar, and roared, "Tell me, where did you take my Yueyue? Hand her over right now!"

The "militiamen" standing nearby were horrified and rushed forward to pull Yang Tiejun away.

However, Chen Yu waved his hand, signaling them to step back.

“Uncle Yang, this matter is rather complicated. Why don’t you let go first and come with me into the military camp? We can sit down and I’ll explain it to you slowly,” Chen Yu said with a wry smile.

"Stop trying to play tricks on me, just say it here!" Yang Tiejun's anger did not seem to subside despite Chen Yu's calm attitude. He gripped Chen Yu's collar tightly and refused to back down.

Seeing this, Chen Yu smiled wryly, pondered for a moment, and said to the soldiers around him, "Take these brothers from Nandu down to rest first, and prepare some hot tea and dry rations for them to warm up."

Upon hearing this, the soldiers understood that it concerned Chen Yu's privacy. They quickly and quietly carried out the order, leading Yang Tiejun's subordinates to a rest area on one side of the camp.
