After dealing with Chen Yu and Lin Lele's situation, the village chief and others began inspecting the collapsed snowdrift.
“Second Uncle, this should be our abandoned No. 3 ventilation shaft. Due to the thin snow layer on top and the long-term temperature difference, the snow layer became even looser. As he spoke, the village chief led Chen Yu and Lin Lele toward a rather simple-looking wooden door.
Behind the door was a spacious and tidy room, furnished with a wooden bed and some simple furniture.
"This used to be the room of an old man in our village. He didn't survive the extreme cold disaster and the room became empty after he passed away. You can stay here for now," the village chief explained, gesturing for Chen Yu and Lin Lele to go inside and rest.
"You two get used to it first. I'll come and call you when it's time to eat." After saying that, the village chief turned and left the room, leaving Chen Yu and Lin Lele alone.
After seeing the village chief and the others leave, Lin Lele curiously began to look around the room.
Contrary to her expectations, she discovered that the house was an old-fashioned bungalow with a brick and concrete structure. If she hadn't realized that they were under thick snow, she would have thought she had returned to a village decades ago.
Although the furniture in the room is simple, each piece appears sturdy and durable, exuding a sense of time and experience.
"Tsk tsk tsk~" Lin Lele couldn't help but marvel, "This old house is really sturdy, even more than 10 meters of snow didn't break it."
"You're wrong, it's not more than 10 meters, it's at least 30 meters," Chen Yu corrected him from the side.
