Chapter 465 Suppressing Christian Investors

A young man with gray hair standing next to the mother and son sighed deeply.

In the past, the couple worked hard, and although they couldn't afford to eat their fill, the daily reward of two bowls of porridge was at least enough to feed the mother and son.

However, the Fire Seed Base did not treat them as human beings. While constantly increasing the workload for these grassroots base members, the daily supply of porridge did not increase, and even decreased.

You have to understand that their child is not capable of working. The two of them only get four bowls of porridge a day, and they not only have to feed themselves, but also have to give some to their child.

With their workload increased under such circumstances, this small amount of porridge was simply insufficient to meet their most basic survival needs.

Life was already difficult for these lower-level base members, but instead of easing their burdens, the base's higher-ups exploited them even more, concentrating more resources and benefits in their own hands.

This extreme inequality and injustice has plunged the lives of these grassroots citizens into an abyss of despair.

In order to reasonably protect their rights and survive, they had no choice but to unite, even if it was like throwing an egg against a rock, to make their voices heard and fight for that sliver of a chance to change their fate.

After all, unless it's a last resort, who would be willing to risk their life to challenge that seemingly unshakeable authority?

However, reality is very cruel. In the eyes of the higher-ups at the Fire Seed Base, their resistance was nothing more than an ant trying to shake a tree, a futile attempt.

Before it even began, it was brutally suppressed.

They are now trapped in a snow pit dungeon, where food is out of the question and their fate is uncertain.

At this point, many people couldn't help but feel regret. Why couldn't they just live a peaceful life? Why did they have to challenge those seemingly invincible powers? However, what's done is done, and regret is useless now.

The atmosphere in the dungeon grew increasingly heavy, the cold and despair seeming to freeze everyone's soul.

All these people can do now is silently await their judgment.
