Prologue: Countdown to a Rainy Night
A rainstorm turned the entire city into a blurry black and white film.
Yun Shuo stood under the overpass. On his phone screen, an unfamiliar countdown was silently ticking: 00:02:17.
"What kind of prank is this?" He whispered to himself and was about to turn off the phone when a soft sound rang in his ears.
Beside him, Yu Heng put away his camera and looked out into the rain. Suddenly, at the edge of his vision, a scene from three seconds later flashed by—a truck out of control, crashing into the overpass.
"Stand back!" Yu Heng suddenly grabbed Yun Shuo.
Almost at the same time, there was a loud bang, and the overpass shook violently. When they came to their senses, there were only three seconds left on the countdown.

The world seemed to have been paused by someone; the sound of rain, noise, and lights all fell silent.
Then, a crack slowly opened in the rain, like an invisible eye, watching them.

A cold reminder sound rang in my mind, and the countdown started again.
Yun Shuo and Yu Heng looked at each other and saw the same determination in each other's eyes.
"Let's go." Yuheng said.
"Together." Yun Shuo nodded.
The two walked side by side into the unknown rift.
