Chapter 251 The Wounded Mermaid

Chapter 251 The Wounded Mermaid

Lou Xiaoyu ignored everyone else and went straight to carry the exhausted Gu Qing back to the room. She then went to the bathroom and filled the bathtub with water.

She then took out the medicine Jin Beiwang had given her from her spatial storage, stuffing the oral medication into her mouth and throwing the bath medication directly into the bathtub.

He undressed Gu Qing and put her in the bathtub. Watching Gu Qing unconsciously absorb the medicine, he couldn't help but reach out his finger, wanting to poke Gu Qing's fair face.

But as soon as he raised his hand, his sharp nails became visible, and he slowly lowered his hand again, afraid of hurting Gu Qing's delicate skin.

The robot came over to help Gu Qing wash up. After absorbing the medicine, Gu Qing gradually regained her strength. As soon as she opened her eyes, she met Lou Xiaoyu's worried gaze.

His eyes turned light gold. Gu Qing knew this was due to the contamination. She was glad she had the proficiency panel; she had succeeded.

Gu Qing gave her a reassuring smile, carefully cooperating with the robot to take care of herself, and she had almost fully recovered.

As Gu Qing came out of the bathroom in her pajamas and sat down, a robot came over to dry her hair. Gu Qing looked at Lou Xiaoyu with a puzzled expression, and then her gaze fell on his sharp fingernails.

When her hair was half-dry, she dismissed the robot, then stood up, walked over to Lou Xiaoyu, hugged him tightly, and nestled in his arms. "Xiaoyu, let me purify you!"

Lou Xiaoyu didn't agree immediately, but instead pushed Gu Qing out of her arms. "Qingqing."

Gu Qing frowned. "Xiao Yu, you can't accept me purifying you either?"

What should I do? Gu Qing felt a little heavy-hearted.

Lou Xiaoyu quickly explained when he saw Gu Qing's reaction, "No, no." He took a deep breath and continued, "Qingqing, although you've been promoted to B-level, the difference in our levels is too great. It would be better under normal circumstances."

With my current level of contamination so high, shallow purification probably won't be very effective for me right now, and deep purification could easily lead to infection.

"Qingqing, I can't let you be in any danger. I've made up my mind. Once we get back to camp, I'll go to the control center on the capital planet."

Gu Qing was a little angry when she heard him say that. "Lou Xiaoyu." She looked at him intently as she called his name. "You don't even have this much trust in me? If that's really the case, then I'm such a failure as a person."

Lou Xiaoyu was filled with anxiety when she heard her say that. "Qingqing, I didn't. Don't be angry."

Gu Qing kissed him directly. Lou Xiaoyu, already lacking self-control due to the contamination, took advantage of his inattention and pushed him to sit on the sofa. Then she straddled his lap, wrapped her arms around his neck, and pressed her foreheads together.

The little cloud instantly entered Lou Xiaoyu's mental landscape without any rejection.

In Lou Xiaoyu's mental landscape, there is a vast ocean, with an island beneath small clouds, covered with coconut trees.

Near the sea is a fine sandy beach with occasional piles of stones.

Actually, if things were going well, his mental state would be quite similar to Gu Qing's.

However, the seawater, though still without wind, was lapping against the beach, but it had turned pitch black, as if stained with ink. The sky, which should have been azure, was now covered with layers of dark clouds, as if a torrential downpour was imminent.

It gave off a deep sense of danger and gloom. Little Cloud endured this heaviness and searched around before finally finding the mermaid on a pile of rocks in the distance.

He lay there quietly, without any reaction, when Little Cloud flew over in a flash.

The mermaid lay sprawled on a rock, her hair disheveled and draped over her body, but even that couldn't conceal the long wound on her back from which flowed dark golden blood.

Several scales were missing from the fish's tail, and the tail was twisted at an unnatural angle.

The little cloud whimpered anxiously. The mermaid's eyelids trembled slightly as she opened her eyes twice. Her golden eyes were not bright; instead, they were somewhat dark.

Little Cloud tried to get up, but with a little effort, it fell back onto the rock.

The little cloud whimpered twice more, then unfolded and covered the mermaid's back, puffing out its cheeks and sucking hard, transforming into a pitch-black cloud at a visible speed.

The mermaid's wound had not healed, but it had stopped bleeding black blood. The little cloud shrank in size, rubbed against his cheek, whimpered twice, and then disappeared from his mental image.

The mermaid laboriously opened her eyes again, glanced at the spot where the little cloud had disappeared, and then closed her eyes again.
