Chapter 67 The Fruit Ripens
"Okay, try to use the planting robots for the greenhouse as much as possible. Don't do it yourself, it'll be too tiring. Just tell me what you want to eat or use, and I'll help you find it..."
After a series of reminders from Chen Xingheng, he realized it was getting late. "Go and get some rest! I'll text you again tomorrow morning."
"Okay, Xingheng, take good care of yourself. I'll be heartbroken if you get hurt. And I love you."
Bo Chuan heard this as soon as he arrived, so he had no choice but to stand there without moving until Chen Xingheng hung up the phone.
I turned around and saw him. "Boss, did you come here to see me about something?"
Bo Chuan, with his usual stern face, tossed over a small jar made of insulating stone. "Here, take this. I don't need it."
Chen Xingheng reached out with his left hand and caught it. He looked at Bo Chuan standing there, his tall and slender figure and combat uniform giving him an air of asceticism. He lifted the lid of the jar a little, and a sweet aroma mixed with traces of energy spread out.
It was propolis from a different bee. Chen Xingheng tightened his grip on the jar. Back then, when they took the beehive, everyone got some, and the eldest brother's propolis was naturally the least contaminated.
He didn't think this was for himself, but if not for himself, who else could he give it to? He didn't even have a family, so the answer was obvious.
Chen Xingheng's gaze turned dark as he looked at his team leader.
Bo Chuan sighed, "She'll find two more men anyway, so you can think it over carefully. After all, we know each other fairly well."
Bo Chuan is like that; he will strive to get what he wants or who he wants. He may seem indifferent at times, but he is actually extremely possessive.
Even the fourth legion under his command wasn't allocated to him by his father; he demanded it. He believed he could manage and support it, so he asked for it.
"The Marshal will not agree with your idea; Qingqing's rank is too low."
Chen Xingheng spoke without conviction. He had followed his boss since childhood and knew very well what kind of person his boss was.
But a trace of resentment and a slight sense of panic in his heart still made him say those words.
Bo Chuan patted him on the shoulder, said nothing, and turned to go back to his tent.
Chen Xingheng leaned against the rock wall, looked up at the sky, and chaotic thoughts swept through his mind.
He initially chose Gu Qing partly because of her low rank, but he didn't expect her to be such a promising talent, and her personality was also compatible with his.
His gradual descent into depravity caused his latent possessiveness to surface, and now, in the conversation just now, this possessiveness felt like a sharp knife stabbing him again.
But before he could ponder for long, he heard a familiar voice.
"Yang Dong, get me some nutritional supplements, I'm hungry."
"Alright, let's all catch up first. Those beasts were really troublesome."
Chen Xingheng rubbed his fingers together a couple of times and walked towards the person who had spoken. The person who was drinking the nutrient solution also saw him.
We weren't exactly close, but we weren't strangers either.
Li Liang greeted him first, "Captain Chen." Chen Xingheng and his team usually led their own squads on cleanup missions, and had even led their team before, which was why he addressed him that way.
"When did your team arrive? I haven't seen them before." Chen Xingheng asked with a friendly smile.
“We came with the first group and were on guard around the perimeter, so we didn’t see anything.” Li Liang saw Chen Xingheng sitting down and sat down as well.
"You should know that I can organize a fixed team. I wonder if you would like to join my team." As soon as Chen Xingheng finished speaking, the three of them stopped what they were doing.
Being able to join a fixed team would be ideal, as it offers good benefits and guaranteed missions, but unfortunately, it was this person who invited them.
Li Liang glanced at Zhang Ze, who was still chewing on a nutrient solution, but did not reply immediately.
Chen Xingheng didn't expect an immediate answer. He patted Li Liang on the shoulder and stood up. "We'll have to work hard for the next few days. You guys be careful."
Then he turned and left. Of course, he had his reasons for doing so. All three of them knew about Gu Qing, and it was best to keep them by his side to avoid any unforeseen complications.
If he couldn't win them over, he had other ways to shut them up, but he wasn't doing so now entirely because of Gu Qing.
After he left, the remaining three remained silent for a while. Finally, Zhang Ze looked up at his two brothers, a slightly bitter expression on his face.
