Upon hearing this, Gu Chu smiled and said, "Then congratulations to him!"
Gu Chu knew that Gu Dongting had a mistress. In her previous life, after she was murdered, Gu Dongting's mistress gave birth to a big, healthy son, which made Gu Qingling very angry. However, neither of them knew who the mistress was.
Gu Qingling had long expected Gu Chu to react this way, but seeing Gu Chu act this way still made her somewhat angry.

She was never the only one in the Gu family, nor was she the most important. Her father was always a selfish person who would sacrifice anyone for personal gain.
Perhaps the reason her father kept her alive was because she could still be used for a political marriage.
After thinking it through, she stopped making a scene and turned to leave.
“I’m not mistaken. You think that once you leave the Gu family, everything will be none of your business? Don’t forget that you are the Gu family’s adopted daughter, and you and Gu Dongting are legally recognized as father and daughter. One-third of his assets belong to you.”
Gu Qingling was telling the truth. Although Gu Chu left the Gu family, she was still legally the Gu family's adopted daughter unless the adoption was terminated.
Gu Chu never expected that Gu Qingling would say such a thing to her one day.
Sure enough, when interests are threatened, even the greatest hatred or deepest resentment can be let go.
