Su Wan met Qin Yan at the police station.
"Su Wan, thank you so much for making this trip again." Qin Yan greeted Su Wan warmly.
Su Wan smiled and said, "Captain Qin, you're too kind. Cooperating with the police in handling cases is the duty of every citizen."
The two went into the criminal investigation team's office together.
There were only her and Qin Yan in the office. Su Wan put all the bags she was carrying on the desk.
Qin Yan picked up the prepared documents and handed them to Su Wan, who took them and looked at them with some confusion.
Qin Yan said, "The case of the 12 sacrifices has been closed. Please sign this confidentiality agreement."
Su Wan looked up at him in shock: "Case closed? The exorcist behind it has been caught?"
Su Wan was always curious about who was so heartless as to try to harm people using the Soul Return Technique.
She had previously deceived Li Shengping, telling him that the Soul Returning Technique required the sacrifice of evil souls. In reality, it was the opposite; the souls to be sacrificed had to be pure and clean. Therefore, the twelve victims were all very kind people. Moreover, the Soul Returning Array had already been activated. If they hadn't destroyed it, Li Shengping's mother might have lived for another ten years or so.
Su Wan never mentioned this matter from beginning to end. As a spirit master, she couldn't let such a thing happen. Once it happened the first time, many people would lose their lives because of the Soul Returning Array.
Seeing that Su Wan was very concerned about the person behind it, Qin Yan sincerely told her, "Su Wan, considering that you saved my two cousins, I'm kindly reminding you to forget about this!"
Su Wan sensed something unusual in Qin Yan's tone and asked, "What's wrong? Did something happen?"
Seeing that she was becoming increasingly curious about this matter, Qin Yan said seriously, "I'm sorry, but I have no comment!"
Su Wan's mind raced with thoughts. She suspected that the person behind this might have a sensitive identity or might already be dead.
"Alright, handling the case is your job as police officers. Since it's inconvenient for you to talk about it, I won't ask. But I hope you won't let the people down."
After finishing her sentence, Su Wan readily signed the confidentiality agreement.
After leaving the police station and returning to the Platinum Villa, Su Wan felt like someone was following her, but every time she looked back, she didn't find anything unusual.
In the afternoon, Su Wan went to the hospital to visit Gu Chu. Gu Chu had just been discharged. Since she couldn't go back to the Gu family home, Su Wan suggested that Gu Chu stay at the house she had previously rented.
Gu Chu agreed, and the two went to the rented room together, where they ran into Wu Yanran, who had come to find Su Wan.
When Wu Yanran saw Gu Chu and Su Wan, she excitedly ran over and hugged Gu Chu: "Girl! I missed you."
As she was about to make her move, Su Wan had anticipated this and quickly pulled her away a second before Wu Yanran could pull Gu Chu's ear.
"Hey girl! I'm here!"
Wu Yanran looked at the 'stranger' who had grabbed her with suspicion: "Who are you?" Then, she turned to Gu Chu: "Girl, isn't your friend a bit too unreliable?"
Gu Chu quickly explained, "Sorry! I'm not Su Wan, my name is Gu Chu."
Wu Yanran gave Gu Chu a mocking look: "Heh, trying to act with me! So what if I couldn't make it back for your birthday? Is it really that big of a deal?"
Su Wan knew that her situation was hard for people to believe, so she told the truth: "Girl! To tell you the truth, I've been possessed by a spirit."
Wu Yanran was a little angry: "Still playing?"
"I'm serious!" Su Wan whispered in her ear as she spoke.
Upon hearing this, Wu Yanran looked at Su Wan in shock.
It took her a while to realize what was happening.
"Girl! What happened! How did you get possessed?! Who did this?! Could it be her?!" Wu Yanran looked at Gu Chu warily.
Su Wan took her hand and said, "It's a long story. Come in and I'll tell you slowly."
Half an hour later.
After learning the whole story, Wu Yanran still couldn't believe that such a melodramatic plot had actually happened around her.
When she looked at Gu Chu again, there was no longer any wariness or suspicion in her eyes. Instead, she felt a little guilty for being so fierce just now: "Um, Gu Chu, I'm sorry for just now. I was too excited. I didn't expect my girl to have a twin sister. But which one of you is the older sister?"
Gu Chu smiled understandingly: "It's okay, I understand. I envy Su Wan for having such a good friend like you."
Su Wan noticed a hint of sadness in Gu Chu's eyes, and she comforted her, "Gu Chu, what are you envious of? We're sisters, and the three of us will share everything from now on."
As Su Wan spoke, she pulled up one of her sisters with each hand.
Wu Yanran suddenly had a flash of inspiration: "I have a way to help you distinguish between sizes."
Gu Chu asked curiously, "How will you divide it?"
Wu Yanran said, "Rock, paper, scissors, whoever wins is the older sister."
Su Wan knew this would happen. She gave Wu Yanran a mocking look: "Get lost! Are you stupid? First time, second time!"
"Understood! Understood!" Wu Yanran said with a smile.
Gu Chu seemed to be deep in thought: "Actually, I've already prepared to investigate our origins."
Su Wan looked at Gu Chu with a sincere expression: "We definitely need to investigate her background, sister."
Su Wan naturally called Gu Chu "sister," which touched Gu Chu deeply. With teary eyes, she looked at Su Wan and said solemnly, "Little sister, I will protect you from now on."
Seeing the atmosphere suddenly turn somber, Wu Yanran broke the heavy silence by saying, "What about me!"
"Sister Ran!"
"Sister Ran!"
Su Wan and Gu Chu laughed and said in unison.
Wu Yanran replied smugly, "Eh!"
"Hahahaha..." The three of them burst into laughter.
In the end, the three decided that they would still address each other by their first names when they were out in public.
That evening, the three of them were having dinner out when Su Wan received a call from Shen Baiyan.
