"Director Zhao, I'll be going now. Goodbye!"
After Shen Baiyan finished speaking, he pulled Su Wan away.
Watching the two figures disappear into the distance, Zhao Yongjun muttered in confusion, "Servants?"
Once outside, Su Wan finally broke free from Shen Baiyan's clutches: "Who's your servant? Did you pay her?"
Shen Baiyan remained calm, his hands in his trouser pockets, looking down at the annoyed Su Wan: "One and a half million is not enough?"
Su Wan gritted her teeth angrily: "What 1.5 million? That's a loan I borrowed from you, and I have to pay it back!"
Shen Baiyan raised an eyebrow: "How will you repay it?"
Seeing the wicked smile in his eyes, Su Wan immediately realized he was playing her again. She cursed, "You...you shameless!"
Shen Baiyan replied calmly, "You're vulgar."
Su Wan was speechless and retorted, "How am I vulgar? You're the vulgar one!"
Shen Baiyan looked at her with a calm and collected expression, and said something that could make someone die on the spot.
He said, "You dare say you didn't leak last night?"
Su Wan was both embarrassed and annoyed, her face turning red: "You! I can't be bothered with you!"
After saying that, he turned and walked toward the luxury car waiting in the police station compound.
Once she got in the car, she realized she had been careless. She had been so focused on arguing with Shen Baiyan that she had forgotten she had something very important to do that night and needed his help.
Shen Baiyan got into the car: "Drive!"
The car started, and the atmosphere inside was quiet, just like when we arrived.
Su Wan hesitated for a moment before observing Shen Baiyan's expression. Seeing his serious face, she cautiously asked, "Shen Baiyan, are you angry?"
Shen Baiyan glanced at her indifferently and uttered a single word: "Speak."
"Yamada Jiro is a genetically modified person. He has killed many people, and the bodies are hidden in his residence. Can you help find someone to sneak into his house at night and find evidence?"
Shen Baiyan looked at her, his tone distant: "Why should I help you?"
Su Wan offered a weak explanation: "It's not about helping me; punishing evil and upholding justice is every citizen's duty."
Shen Baiyan sneered: "Punishing evil and punishing the wicked? What does that have to do with you? That's the duty of the police."
Su Wan lowered her head in frustration: "But I reported the case, and his identity is special, so if things are not handled properly, the consequences will be very serious."
Shen Baiyan glanced at her: "Now you know fear? You used to take advantage of being a spirit master to report cases casually, but did you ever think that this kind of trouble would happen today?"
Su Wan also realized her mistake today, and she sincerely admitted it: "I know I was wrong, and I will be more careful in the future."
Shen Baiyan joked, "Why be cautious? Why don't you go and investigate yourself?"
"Maybe, but putting aside the future, are you going to help me or not?" Su Wan looked at him expectantly.
Looking at her pitiful appearance, Shen Baiyan said, "I can help you, but you'd better serve me well tonight..."
Su Wan quickly reached out and covered his mouth, afraid that he wouldn't say anything nice.
"Don't say anything, I know."
Shen Baiyan, however, had no intention of letting her off the hook: "I mean, you should take the initiative tonight."
Su Wan weakly agreed, "Mmm."
Shen Baiyan: "I didn't hear it."
"Okay, I'll take the initiative." Su Wan said loudly and then buried her head tightly.
