Qiao Xingyu was left at the entrance of the Platinum Villa. When she saw the familiar gate, she realized that she had been rescued.
She pressed the doorbell, and the butler, Uncle Zhong, opened the door. He was shocked to see that it was Qiao Xingyu: "Miss Qiao, what are you doing here? Weren't you abroad?!"
Qiao Xingyu smiled gently: "Uncle Zhong, is Bai Yan home?"
The butler said, "The young master is not here."
"Then I'll go inside and wait for him," Qiao Xingyu said, turning to go inside.
The housekeeper stopped her, saying, "I'm sorry, it's not convenient for you to go in."
Just then, Su Wan came downstairs and, seeing that no one was in the dining room, called out, "Uncle Zhong, is lunch ready? I'm hungry!"
Uncle Zhong turned around and shouted, "Everything's ready! I'll have the dishes served right away!"
Qiao Xingyu was both surprised and suspicious when she heard Su Wan's voice: "Who is the woman inside?"
The butler didn't answer her, but instead advised, "Miss Qiao, you should leave!"
He then closed the door.
As the door closed, Qiao Xingyu's sixth sense told her that the woman inside was definitely not a maid; the woman's tone just now clearly indicated that she was acting like a 'mistress'.
Could it be that Shen Baiyan has another woman in his life?!
Just as Qiao Xingyu hesitated, Shen Baiyan returned.
Upon seeing Qiao Xingyu standing at the villa entrance, Shen Baiyan instructed the driver to stop the car.
"Bo Yan!"
When Qiao Xingyu saw Shen Baiyan get out of the car, she rushed over to hug him, but Shen Baiyan subconsciously stepped aside.
"I'm glad you're alright. Have you eaten?"
Qiao Xingyu smiled gently and said, "Not yet. Jiang Jinyu's men just brought me back. Bai Yan, why did he arrest me?"
"It's a long story, let's talk about it while we eat."
Shen Baiyan led Qiao Xingyu inside as he spoke.
Su Wan was sitting in the dining room preparing to eat when she saw Shen Baiyan leading a girl in. She was taken aback for a moment, then casually asked the maid to serve her rice.
Qiao Xingyu was utterly shocked when she saw Su Wan: "Miss Gu... Miss Gu!!"
Qiao Xingyu knew Gu Qingling; among the wealthy heiresses who liked Shen Baiyan, Gu Qingling was one of the more daring ones.
"Baiyan, what is Miss Gu doing here?" Qiao Xingyu asked.
Shen Baiyan did not answer, but said, "Let's eat first."
Su Wan had already heard from Gu Chu that Shen Baiyan had a white moonlight abroad. In addition, a few days ago Shen Baiyan said he was going abroad and Gu Chu said that he went to see that white moonlight. Therefore, Su Wan guessed that this woman was Shen Baiyan's white moonlight, Qiao Xingyu.
Unexpectedly, Shen Baiyan actually brought Qiao Xingyu back. What is he planning to do?
Su Wan was secretly curious.
Upon hearing Qiao Xingyu admit her mistake, Su Wan explained, "Miss, I am not Gu Qingling."
Qiao Xingyu was surprised that the person in front of her said she wasn't Gu Qingling, even though she looked exactly like Gu Qingling.
Qiao Xingyu looked at Shen Baiyan with a puzzled expression: "Baiyan, who is she?"
Shen Baiyan glanced at Su Wan indifferently: "Never mind who she is, let's eat."
Just then, Uncle Zhong brought over a plate of seafood: "Xiao Su, these are your favorite hairy crabs."
Su Wan is a warm and cheerful person. During her month at Platinum Villa, she got along very well with the villa's servants, especially the butler, Uncle Zhong, who treated her like a junior.
Su Wan smiled and said, "Thank you, Uncle Zhong. You're so kind to me!"
Upon hearing this, a hint of jealousy flashed in Qiao Xingyu's eyes. She then picked up a piece of food and said, "Baiyan, you work in front of the computer all day. Eating more fish is good for your eyes."
Shen Baiyan is a germaphobe. When he saw the fish that Qiao Xingyu had picked up with chopsticks in the bowl, he frowned slightly and said, "I'll do it myself."
He gave the butler a look, and the butler immediately served him another bowl of rice.
Qiao Xingyu looked somewhat embarrassed.
Just as Qiao Xingyu was about to pick up some food, Su Wan suddenly spoke up: "Uncle Zhong, could you please bring a pair of chopsticks? Remember to prepare a pair of serving chopsticks when we have guests in the future."
"Okay, I'm sorry, Xiao Su, it was my oversight," the butler said.
Su Wan smiled slightly: "It's alright. There are usually no outsiders at home, so they understand."
Qiao Xingyu turned pale from Su Wan's words and ate her meal as if it were chewing wax.
After dinner, Shen Baiyan took her to the study.
As soon as Qiao Xingyu entered the study, she asked, "Bai Yan, who is she?"
Shen Baiyan said calmly, "She is Su Wan."
Qiao Xingyu asked again, "Why does she live here?"
Shen Baiyan hesitated for a moment before saying, "She is a spirit medium, and I need her for something."
"What's up?"
Qiao Xingyu was curious, but more so because she didn't believe Shen Baiyan's words. After having dinner together, Qiao Xingyu discovered that Su Wan was very unusual and not at all like what Shen Baiyan said, that he only needed her because he had something to do with her.
From the servants' attitude towards Su Wan and the layout of the house, she could tell that Su Wan's existence was not simple.
Shen Baiyan didn't answer her, but said, "You don't need to worry about that. Since you're back, stay for two days before you leave."
"Baiyan, I'm not going back to France. Have someone take me home!"
Qiao Xingyu suddenly became afraid; Su Wan's appearance made her realize the danger.
Shen Baiyan nodded: "Alright, since you've made up your mind, I'll have someone send you back right away."
Qiao Xingyu was surprised that Shen Baiyan didn't try to stop her. She felt a little sad, but she couldn't take back what she had said.
So, when Shen Baiyan escorted her downstairs, she had no choice but to pretend to faint.
"Xingyu!" Shen Baiyan reacted quickly and caught her.
He then picked her up and drove her to the hospital.
In the evening, Shen Baiyan returned home, and Su Wan was just about to go downstairs for a drink of water.
The two met at the door, and Su Wan casually asked, "Is your white moonlight alright?"
Shen Baiyan stared at her intently, showing no intention of answering.
