Su Wan breathed a sigh of relief when she saw that the person had been rescued.

Liang Jifa was taken away by the police. Gu Chu and Su Wan were about to follow when Rong Shi appeared and blocked Gu Chu's way.

Gu Chu then realized that she hadn't misread anything; the person who saved Liang Jifa was indeed Rong Shi.

Gu Chu no longer denied it: "She is my life, and the person I will protect for the rest of my life."
Rong Shi suddenly asked, "Don't you want to know about your background?"
Gu Chu naturally wanted to know. She had been investigating since the first day of her rebirth, but there was no clue about her background, except for a pendant that she and Su Wan both had.
Her pendant was engraved with the character '初' (chu), while Su Wan's was engraved with the character '晚' (wan). She thought that might be the origin of their names, but Gu Dongting had taken her pendant.
She said, "I would be very grateful if you would help us find our biological parents."
She believed that with Rong Shi's abilities, he might be able to find their biological parents.
Rong Shi did not answer her question, but instead asked, "Where did you see me in your past life?"
Gu Chu looked at him coldly: "Sorry, our relationship is not yet at the point where we can confide in each other."

Gu Chu looked at her earnestly and said, "Wanwan, you don't think that everything I told you before was a lie, do you? I said that there was no possibility between Jiang Jinyu and me."
