After breakfast, Rong Shi and Gu Chu went out together. Rong Shi returned to the camp, while Gu Chu went to see Xiao Yating.
As the two left the guesthouse, they saw Xiao Yating waiting at the camp entrance from afar.
Gu Chu smiled and took Rong Shi's large hand in hers.
Rong Shi was taken aback. He looked down at Gu Chu and then took Gu Chu's hand. The two walked side by side like a couple deeply in love.
When Xiao Yating saw Rong Shi and Gu Chu coming out of the guesthouse together, her gaze was fixed on their clasped hands.
She glared at Gu Chu with eyes wide with fury, then went over and reached out to stop the two of them.
"Let go of me!" Xiao Yating shouted angrily.
Gu Chu and Rong Shi stopped in their tracks, looking at her with pity.
Xiao Yating looked at Rong Shi with pitiful eyes and asked in a weak voice, "Brother Shi, were you with her last night?"
“It’s normal for us to be together as a legally married couple,” Rong Shi said calmly.
Gu Chu looked at Rong Shi with gentle eyes: "Husband, you go in first."
Rong Shi met Gu Chu's tender gaze and nodded, saying, "Okay, then thank you for your hard work."
After Rong Shi finished speaking, he strode away. Xiao Yating chased after him, crying, "Brother Shi, don't go! Brother Shi!"
Xiao Yating was stopped by the guard at the entrance.
Gu Chu followed and stood behind her: "Stop shouting, your sister-in-law Shi is here, what do you want to say?"
Xiao Yating turned around with tears in her eyes, saw Gu Chu, and angrily said, "You are not my sister-in-law, I will not acknowledge you!"
Gu Chu watched with interest as she cried her eyes out: "You were the one who called my husband 'brother,' so naturally I'm your sister-in-law. Do you think I like being your sister-in-law? It's just that you shamelessly claimed kinship with me!"
"You...! A woman like you is not worthy of Rong Shi at all!" Xiao Yating looked at Gu Chu with disdain.
Gu Chu didn't take it to heart. She crossed her arms and replied calmly, "Whether you're worthy or not isn't up to you. He's the lock and I'm the key. Only I can unlock him. If you keep bothering him, you'll only humiliate yourself."
Xiao Yating angrily wiped away her tears: "I don't believe Brother Shi married you! You must be putting on an act for me!"
Suddenly, as if she had thought of something, a glimmer of hope appeared in her eyes: "It's my old man, isn't it? He's the one who paid you to come and act with Brother Shi so that I would back down?"
