Chapter 86 Nie Wuyou's Conscience Remains

The woman went over and saw a group of workers outside, who were probably from a demolition team, or maybe police officers in disguise.

She calmly returned to Suzuki Motoyo: "Suzuki-kun, nothing's wrong outside, just a few cats making noise."

Gu Chu looked at the woman with a puzzled expression.

That shouldn't be happening!

Should the police officers disguised as demolition workers have arrived by now?

Just as Gu Chu was filled with doubt, Suzuki Motoyo threatened, "First love, I'll give you two choices: come with me and I'll release your sister, or we'll die together."

Upon hearing this, Gu Chu couldn't help but curse angrily: "Pervert! You're even more disgusting than Yamada Jiro!"

Suzuki Motoyo was hurt by Gu Chu's words. He said with difficulty, "First love, how could you look at me like that? Do you know that I went to the airport with you just to see you? I watched you board the plane with another man. This time, I drove four hours myself... I..."

The facts were almost identical to Rong Shi's speculation; Suzuki Motoyo really had been looking for opportunities to get close to her!

"Bang!" The sudden sound of the door being slammed interrupted Suzuki Motoyo's words.

"Don't move! Police!"

Upon hearing this, Suzuki Motoyo immediately rushed towards Gu Chu.

The woman reacted quickly, rushing forward to block Suzuki Honyo and shouting to Gu Chu, "You go quickly!"

This sudden scene stunned Gu Chu for a second, and then she turned and ran away.

When Suzuki Motoyo saw that the woman had betrayed him, he pulled a knife out of his pocket and raised it high towards her.

"Bang!" The bullet pierced Suzuki Motoyo's arm.

The knife fell to the ground, and the police rushed over.

Gu Chu was stunned by the gunshot. She stopped and turned around, only to see Suzuki Honyo being tackled by a policeman disguised as a worker. Rong Shi, who was standing on the second floor, put away his pistol, grabbed the railing, and jumped down, running straight towards her.

Gu Chu was stunned by this scene.

"Don't be afraid, it's alright now," Rong Shi said, hugging her to comfort her.

Gu Chu then realized what was happening. Seeing the stares from all around, her heart raced. She gently pushed Rong Shi away and said, "I'm not afraid with you here."

"Yes, I've already taken Su Wan to a safe place," Rong Shi said.

"Take me to her quickly!"

When Gu Chu saw Su Wan, the two hugged each other and cried for a while.

When the police found Rong Shi, they said that Nie Wuyou was looking for Gu Chu.

"Nie Wuyou?" Gu Chu asked, puzzled.

"The woman beside Suzuki Motoyo." Su Wan had heard Suzuki Motoyo call her 'Worry-Free'.

Gu Chu asked, "Is she Chinese?"

"It should be," Su Wan said.

"Her behavior became erratic at the end, so we should go see her and ask her why."

Rong Shi said, "I'll go with you."

Su Wan said, "I'll go too."

The three arrived at the meeting room.

Seeing that three people had arrived at once, Nie Wuyou glanced warily at the police officer next to her before saying, "Gu Chu, can I talk to you alone?"

“They are all people I trust, so just tell me what’s on your mind!” Gu Chu said.

"Then, please ask the police officer to step out for a moment," Nie Wuyou said weakly.

Upon hearing this, the policeman next to Rong Shi said, "Battalion Commander Rong, this place is now in your hands."

After the four of them were left in the room, Su Wan and the others found chairs and sat down.

"Gu Chu, I want to ask you for a favor. If you agree, I will tell you a huge secret, a secret about Japanese spies in China."

"What is it?" Gu Chu asked.

Nie Wuyou said, "Go visit my parents for me, but don't let them know I'm in jail."

Gu Chu agreed: "That's possible, I can do it."

"Actually, I'm from an island nation, and I've been like this since I was a child..."

Nie Wuyou told everyone about her background, the Japanese conspiracy, and how the Japanese spies had threatened her.

Su Wan and Gu Chu were shocked, while Rong Shi remained calm, as if he had known about the Japanese ambitions all along.

“There are spies from the island nation all over China, even in the police stations. I hope you can find a way to eliminate these spies,” Nie Wuyou said.

"Why are you telling me all this just so we can visit your adoptive parents?" Su Wan asked.

Nie Wuyou said, "Not entirely. Gu Chu's scolding of Suzuki Honyo also woke me up. She was right. Although I have Japanese blood in my veins, I grew up in China, stand on Chinese soil, eat Chinese food, wear Chinese clothes, drink Chinese water, and use all of China's resources. Even my parents, teachers, classmates, and friends are all Chinese. If I were to work for Japanese people, how could I have the face to stand on Chinese soil in the face of everything China has given me? If I could, I would wish to change the filthy blood in my veins!"

Gu Chu comforted her, "You don't need to blame yourself. You are the best version of yourself now. It is a great thing to admit your mistakes and correct them. Perhaps it is because God saw that you were born into the wrong family that you were allowed to return to China. Everything you have in China is what you truly possess. They are your most precious and real existence. Reform yourself well, and I will present a letter of understanding to the court. I hope that you can go home and reunite with your family as soon as possible."

"Thank you, Gu Chu!"

After leaving the police station, Rong Shi received a call from Lu Beichuan, who had heard that Su Wan was in trouble and was already on his way.

Rong Shi and Lu Beichuan arranged to meet at his residence.

In the car, Gu Chu asked, "Rong Shi, what do you think we should do about this?"

“Beichuan works for the Ministry of State Security. If we tell him about it, it will be easier for him to resolve the issue,” Rong Shi said.

Gu Chu suddenly had a flash of inspiration: "I have an idea, but I don't know if it's feasible?"

Rong Shi turned and glanced at her: "Tell me about it."

“Nie Wuyou said that those Japanese babies who were abandoned in China by Japanese spies like her all have the mark of the hibiscus flower totem on their bodies. Now these people have either grown up or been adopted. If a rich family’s daughter is lost as a child and has a birthmark but doesn’t explain what the birthmark is, do you think those people will come to claim her as their relative?” Gu Chu said.
