After that, the child was very well-behaved, and Su Wan fell into a deep sleep with peace of mind.
In the middle of the night, when the doctor came to check on the patient, Su Wan subconsciously woke up to the sound of unfamiliar voices and saw Shen Baiyan changing the baby's diaper.
Shen Baiyan reminded the doctor to speak softly so as not to disturb Su Wan.
The next morning, Su Wan suddenly opened her eyes and saw Shen Baiyan tidying up the baby bottles. It seemed that the baby had just finished eating, and she felt much more at ease.
Seeing that Su Wan was awake, Shen Baiyan smiled gently at her: "You're awake. Is anything bothering you?"
Su Wan did not answer him.
A large group of doctors came in for rounds. The obstetrics and gynecology professor examined Su Wan's wound and asked, "Madam Shen, have you passed gas?"
Su Wan didn't understand for a moment: "Huh?"
Shen Baiyan explained, "So, did you fart?"
Su Wan was extremely embarrassed. She glared at Shen Baiyan and said to the professor, "No...no."
"You can't eat if you're not passing gas, but you can drink a little water, and it must be warm water," the professor instructed before leaving the ward.
"Waaah..." The child suddenly cried.
Su Wan snapped irritably, "It's so noisy, take the child out!"
Shen Baiyan immediately and carefully picked up the baby from the stroller: "Little Yiyi, be good, don't disturb Mommy, let's go out and play for a while."
Seeing Shen Baiyan carrying the child and about to leave, Su Wan suddenly said, "Wait! Bring the child over here."
Shen Baiyan brought the baby to Su Wan, and Su Wan's heart melted when she looked at the chubby baby in the swaddling clothes.
"Baby, be good. Mommy will be able to hold you when I feel better."
The child seemed to understand Su Wan's words. Upon hearing her voice, he immediately stopped crying and looked around with his eyes darting everywhere.
Su Wan noticed dark circles under Shen Baiyan's eyes, indicating that he hadn't slept all night, and her heart softened a little.
Her voice wasn't so cold anymore: "Where are you taking him?"
"I'll take the baby to take a bath. Don't worry, I'll take care of everything," Shen Baiyan reassured him.
