Su Wan burst into tears. She didn't want to stay here, and she didn't need to see a doctor. She wanted to go back; her five million was gone!
"No, I lied to you. I can actually live for another five years!" Su Wan explained, crying.
Shen Baiyan didn't believe her: "Don't lie to me. I've already investigated Gu Qingling. She has kidney cancer."
Su Wan regretted it. She shouldn't have kept Shen Baiyan's recovery of life a secret, and she shouldn't have kept mentioning her impending death to him.
She tried to explain, "I didn't lie to you. No, it was my mistake to lie to you that I would die, but I'm really fine. My illness is getting better, although I don't know why, but I definitely won't die within five years."
Shen Baiyan dismissed her as talking nonsense. He bent down and hugged Su Wan tightly, comforting her, "Wanwan, don't be afraid. I won't let you die. Pete said that as long as you get a kidney transplant, you can live."
Upon hearing this, Su Wan shoved him away: "Kidney transplant? I think you want me to die even faster!"
"Wanwan, be good, listen to me this once. Let's cooperate with Professor Pete. He's a very good doctor. All the patients who have had kidney transplants under his care have succeeded."
Seeing that Shen Baiyan wouldn't listen to anything she said, Su Wan panicked. Just as she was about to break down, her eyes flashed, and she suddenly went over, hugged Shen Baiyan, and kissed him on tiptoe.
Shen Baiyan was stunned for a moment, then pushed her away the next second: "Wanwan, it's no use doing this. This time I'm here to cure your illness. The kidney donor has been found, and we're just waiting for you to be a match."
Su Wan hugged Shen Baiyan again: "Shen Baiyan, I promise you, I will get treatment."
Shen Baiyan breathed a sigh of relief when he saw her compromise.
"Hmm, what would you like to eat? I'll have someone bring it over," Shen Baiyan said softly.
"I'm not hungry."
Su Wan was preoccupied with other things and didn't feel hungry at all.
Shen Baiyan gently pinched her nose: "How could you not be hungry? You've been sleeping for a whole day and night."
Seeing that things couldn't be rushed, Su Wan temporarily compromised: "I'm not picky about food."
Shen Baiyan let go of her and ordered food.
After they finished lunch, Su Wan asked, "Shen Baiyan, do you like me?"
Su Wan didn't understand why Shen Baiyan insisted on taking her all the way to have surgery, and kept saying things like he didn't want her to die, unless he liked her.
Shen Baiyan did not answer.
Su Wan said seriously, "Look me in the eyes and answer me."
Shen Baiyan spoke this time: "I don't want you to die."
Not getting the answer she wanted, Su Wan sneered: "You just don't want me to die?"
Seeing Su Wan pressing him, Shen Baiyan had no choice but to say, "I like your body, I like the feeling of being with you. If you think that's what liking is, then so be it."
He would never admit that he liked Su Wan. He couldn't accept that he liked her just because he had slept with her. If that were the case, it would mean that his willpower was too weak and that he couldn't even control his own emotions.
Shen Baiyan's words successfully enraged Su Wan.
"You're shameless! You like having sex with me? What do you mean you like it? You can try it with other women, maybe you'll find they give you a better feeling than me," Su Wan said angrily.
Shen Baiyan said, "I have obsessive-compulsive disorder related to cleanliness."
Seeing that he was using his germaphobia as an excuse, Su Wan angrily said, "Why would you care about germaphobia if you just close your eyes? How will you know if you don't try it?"
"Su Wan!" Shen Baiyan was angry.
He was furious when he heard Su Wan pushing him away. All that talk about being a germaphobe was fake; he just loved being with her, and not just in bed.
Su Wan was stunned by his sudden shout.
Seeing that he had frightened her, Shen Baiyan quickly lowered his voice and explained, "You don't need to persuade me. I won't easily change my mind once I've made a decision."
Su Wan stopped suggesting he find someone else to try, and instead asked, "When is the checkup?"
Shen Baiyan said, "Tomorrow."
When Su Wan heard that it was tomorrow, she thought that she still had time to escape, so she got up and sat down next to Shen Baiyan.
"Bai Yan," Su Wan called softly.
Shen Baiyan was stunned by her sudden gentleness. He turned his head and stared at her in shock.
Su Wan continued, "Bai Yan, I like you."
Shen Baiyan was even more confused.
The confession came too suddenly, and he felt it was unreal. He had never expected Su Wan to confess to him, so he didn't know how to respond to her.
Seeing that Shen Baiyan didn't react, Su Wan raised her voice and repeated, "I said I like you."
Shen Baiyan then came to his senses and looked at her suspiciously, asking, "Are you serious?"
Su Wan suddenly reached out and hugged him, offering her lips to him.
Shen Baiyan was surprised that Su Wan would actually kiss him first.
His heart was racing, and his blood was boiling.
After kissing for a few seconds, Su Wan released him and asked, "Did you feel it? My true feelings."
He then kissed her again.
Shen Baiyan couldn't resist Su Wan's teasing. During the time they were separated, he couldn't sleep at night, and all he could think about when he closed his eyes were the scenes of pleasure with Su Wan.
Ever since he started eating meat, he has been unable to sleep alone, and he always thinks of Su Wan in the quiet of the night.
He picked up Su Wan and carried her to the soft, large bed.
Seeing that her scheme had succeeded, a cunning glint flashed in Su Wan's eyes.
An hour later, Su Wan was carried into the bathroom by Shen Baiyan.
Two hours later, Su Wan was carried out by Shen Baiyan and placed on a soft, large sofa.
As darkness fell, the crystal chandelier in the room suddenly turned on with a click, and Su Wan immediately shrank into the covers.
As Shen Baiyan watched her hide like a mole, a smile crept onto his lips, and his gaze toward Su Wan was filled with tenderness.
Su Wan spoke up at the opportune moment to ask Shen Baiyan for her phone back.
