Chapter 10 tells you a secret

The two quickly checked out of the hotel. Han Ming couldn't bear to let Dong Xiaolu walk, so he hailed a taxi at the hotel entrance and arrived at the hospital in no time.

Perhaps it was that sweet kiss that had brought them closer, as the two walked intimately toward the ward.

As soon as Han Ming arrived at the door, he heard Uncle Liang Jianxing's loud voice laughing merrily.

Upon entering, I saw that it was indeed that burly man, standing there like an iron tower.

Han Ming couldn't understand how such a big man could have the patience to do technical work, and also have a good temper, patiently teaching workers one-on-one in the workshop.

Unless it's a repeat offender who really annoys him, his loud voice only comes into play when he's in a good mood.

Liang Jianxing was seen laughing and talking in a carefree manner, probably happy that his old friend Han Ming's father, Han Baili, was being discharged from the hospital. He didn't even notice his wife, Pan Yue, who was tugging at his clothes and telling him to keep his voice down.

The middle-aged woman, who was much smaller than Liang Jianxing, was Pan Yue, an ordinary teacher at the town's primary school.

Han Ming went over to greet them, but found that everyone's eyes were on Dong Xiaolu beside him, so he generously introduced her.

Upon hearing Han Ming's introduction, Uncle Liang and Aunt Pan kept praising Dong Xiaolu's beauty. Liang Jianxing laughed and said to Han Baili on the bed:

"Brother, your son's got guts! He found such a beautiful girlfriend without saying a word. When are you getting married? Then we can drink together again!"

Completely forgetting that Han Baili was hospitalized because of a drinking-related incident, he only realized his slip of the tongue when his wife pinched him, and then he just stood there smiling sheepishly.

Han Baili is also an open-minded person. He has recovered somewhat during this period. Although he is still very weak, his mind is clear and he does not care about these small details.

He casually replied that he would definitely have a good drink with his brothers once he recovered, ignoring Han Ming's mother's scolding.

The group chatted happily, making Dong Xiaolu blush. Seeing this, Han Ming squeezed her hand tightly.

Dong Xiaolu realized that her parents didn't know about her relationship with Han Ming, so she needed to find an opportunity to tell them.

I don't know if they will accept Han Ming. Although her boyfriend's family is not well-off, you can't buy your own willingness.

Moreover, her boyfriend held her hand tightly, giving her unwavering confidence and making her believe that her love and sacrifices were worthwhile.

The group chatted for a while longer in the ward. After the doctor came to work and they signed the last document before being discharged, they started packing their things and preparing to leave.

Dong Xiaolu was initially worried that the patient would have a hard time riding in the van, so she insisted on paying for the hospital's nursing vehicle to take him back herself.

But seeing the Jinbei Haishi van parked at the entrance of the inpatient department and the space inside that Liang Jianxing had renovated, she felt relieved.

The car was already spacious, so after removing some of the seats and designing a place where Han Ming's father could lie down, there was still room for other people to sit in the remaining seats.

Because there was a patient in the car, Liang Jianxing drove slowly and steadily, taking more than forty minutes to cover the distance of more than ten kilometers.

When I arrived at my own road in Xiaqiao Town, I could see many people standing at their doorsteps waiting in the distance.

As soon as the car came to a stop, Han Ming got out and saw that there were quite a few people: his eldest uncle and aunt, his second uncle and aunt, as well as Zhao Lihua from his father's factory and her husband Zhuang Maoxue, who was also a teacher at the town's junior high school.

Of course, there are also some neighbors with whom I usually have a good relationship.

Second Uncle and the others set off a few firecrackers and carried Han Baili across a brazier on a deck chair.

People of our parents' generation always have certain customs and traditions, so it's perfectly reasonable for them to ward off bad luck.

Han Ming welcomed everyone at the door into the house, bustling around boiling water, making tea, and offering cigarettes, while Dong Xiaolu helped out.

Once Dong Xiaolu's relatives and neighbors found out her identity, they kept praising her, making the girl blush.

Han Ming felt a surge of joy, secretly thinking how happy he would be if he could marry this beautiful girl.

After a flurry of activity and settling everyone in, Han Ming looked at the fish in the bathtub and the table full of meat and vegetables in the kitchen, and couldn't help but marvel at how hospitable everyone was.

Neighbors would bring some groceries over as a token of their appreciation, and after sitting for a while, they would all find excuses to leave.

The rest of the work was handled by a few women: my eldest aunt, second aunt, Aunt Zhao, and my mother, who prepared vegetables and lunch.

Dong Xiaolu, who wanted to go into the kitchen to help, was pushed out by them, who said there were too many people and she didn't need to help. They told Dong Xiaolu and Han Ming to go inside and watch TV.

She also mentioned that the young couple nowadays enjoy spending time alone together to strengthen their bond, which made Dong Xiaolu blush.

Han Ming saw that his father was settled in, Liang Jianxing and Zhao Lihua were chatting with him in the bedroom, and his two uncles were drinking tea and watching TV in the living room while waiting for dinner.

Looking around, he realized there was nothing for him to do, so he simply pulled Dong Xiaolu into his bedroom.

As Han Ming pulled her into the bedroom, Dong Xiaolu felt a surge of nervousness. She wondered if this guy had gotten addicted to kissing her that morning and was trying to do *that* again by pulling her into the bedroom.

But I also have a little bit of anticipation.

All passionate love blossoms through regular communication, while most breakups stem from a lack of communication, excluding some material factors.

Han Ming and Dong Xiaolu, the young couple who had just started dating, were not affected by material factors at the moment. They sat in front of the computer and played games together sweetly.

Han Ming wasn't interested in the casual games Dong Xiaolu was playing; he stayed close to her mainly to smell his girlfriend's fragrance and, incidentally, to grope her.

Because Han Ming kept bothering her, Dong Xiaolu couldn't play the game properly.

After fiddling with it for a while, she couldn't stand Han Ming's "perverted hands" anymore, so she got up, pressed Han Ming down in front of the computer, and went to her boyfriend's desk to look at the various photos under the glass tabletop.
