Chapter 19 Don't wander around aimlessly late at night

It's in a woman's nature to want to compare herself to other beautiful women.

Liang Qi quickly compared herself to the other woman and was dismayed to find that she was not as pretty as her, but judging from her age, the other woman was probably not much older than her.

Dong Xiaolu was still holding a large brick in her hand and forgot to throw it away for a moment.

When Liang Qi saw that the pretty woman was holding a brick, he was confused about what was going on.

But since there were outsiders present, she felt embarrassed to keep clinging to Han Ming's back, so she told Han Ming and was put down.

After putting on her shoes, she found that Han Ming had already walked quickly to the woman's side and was asking her all sorts of questions. The woman was also looking at Han Ming nervously.

Only a fool wouldn't see their relationship. If I'm not mistaken, that pretty girl is Han Ming's girlfriend.

Thinking of this, Liang Qi felt a sudden pang of disappointment for no apparent reason. Perhaps it was envy, Liang Qi consoled herself.

Seeing that his girlfriend was alright and that he had finally resolved the situation without any major incident, Han Ming pulled Dong Xiaolu over and the three of them introduced themselves to each other.

Dong Xiaolu is 24 years old this year, and Liang Qi is 21 years old, so it's natural for Liang Qi to call Dong Xiaolu "sister".

Now that they were out of danger, the three of them didn't want to stay there any longer, thinking that the police would probably arrive soon.

Now that Liang Qi was out of danger, she was eager to go home, so Han Ming decided to take her home with Dong Xiaolu first. They could deal with the rest later.

Liang Qi's home was also in the old town area, just two streets and a little over a kilometer away from Han Ming's home. The three of them walked and talked.

Han Ming also learned what had happened from Liang Qi's account.

It turns out that Liang Qi had nothing to do at home during his summer vacation after his sophomore year, so he taught children to draw at a summer camp in town.

She was studying fine arts at the teachers' college, so having a summer experiment to earn some pocket money was a good idea, and Liang Jianxing didn't object to it.

But since summer classes are supposed to only have a few lessons, why would they be running until late at night? Han Ming was a little puzzled.

But Liang Qi only stammered that she had spoken on the phone with several of her female roommates from university, and it seemed that they had had some unpleasantness.

So after finishing my class, I told my parents that I wanted to go for a walk on the street and meet up with some of my childhood friends.

Liang Jianying and Pan Yue felt that their daughter was already so old, and since it was in their own town, nothing bad would happen, so they readily agreed to their daughter's request.

Han Ming wasn't stupid; after hearing what Liang Qi said, he exchanged a glance with Dong Xiaolu.

The two thought to themselves in unison:

"Liang Qi is lying."

Normally, roommates who have been separated for the summer vacation would have conflicts. Besides, half of the summer vacation is already over, and it would be pointless to have a small argument over the phone now.

If nothing unexpected happens, Liang Qi must have had a fight with her boyfriend, but it's not the right time to say it out loud. If she does, the girl is too shy to talk about it.

Liang Qi, unaware that Han Ming and the other two had seen through her little lie, continued speaking.

As Han Ming listened to Liang Qi's account, he organized the relevant images in his mind and reconstructed the whole incident in great detail.

It turns out that after "getting off work," this girl saw that it was still early and asked her parents for leave. In addition, she was in a bad mood, so she went to the internet cafe in town.

I don't know what she was doing at the internet cafe; it was already dark when she came out.

I grabbed a quick bite at the mala tang stall across from the internet cafe for dinner.

Logically, she should have gone home after having fun and eating, but she insisted on strolling around the streets.

After wandering around the old street for a while, I felt that there were too many people and it was too noisy, so I couldn't relieve my depression. I wanted to find some peace and quiet, so I headed towards the new town area.

The environment of the new town suited Liang Qi's taste. There weren't many people walking around, so she just wandered around aimlessly, sometimes looking up at the sky, sometimes staring at her feet in a daze.

Just as she was getting tired of shopping and was about to go home, she ran into those three thugs.

Before she knew it, Liang Qi bumped into someone and instinctively apologized. When she looked up and saw three thug-looking men across the street, she became a little nervous and tried to avoid them.

Little did they know that they had already been watching her. The fact that a girl was wandering around alone at night had already given these men a bad signal.

After staring at her for a while, he noticed that the girl was quite pretty and had a good figure, and a wicked thought began to form in his mind.

When Liang Qi wasn't paying attention, he pretended to bump into her by accident so he could strike up a conversation.

If this girl is one of them, then having a romantic encounter for free is a wonderful thing, so the three of them kept pestering Liang Qi.
