Chapter 28 Eating

Han Ming and his new partner Liang Jianxing carried the refurbished refrigerator back onto the tricycle, locked the workshop door, and went back.

They discussed the workshop renovation plan along the way. Han Ming said that after he got back and calculated the missing renovation materials, he would call Liang Jianxing to tell him.

Then Liang Jianxing went to buy materials, and then used a van as cover, pretending to take the renovation workers to the workshop for renovation.

Because the printer's super mode is dangerous, Han Ming repeatedly told Liang Jianxing to call him after arriving at the workshop.

I can remotely control the area to create a safe zone for Uncle Liang.

Later, the two discussed it and decided that Liang Jianxing would pretend to be doing renovations during the day, and then leave at night to let the printer refurbish the parts by itself.

Han Ming thought both methods were good, so they agreed to handle them flexibly when the time came.

As they talked, the two didn't feel tired from riding the tricycle, and before they knew it, they had arrived at Han Ming's house.

The two unloaded the refrigerator and carried it home. Han Ming's mother, Chen Fang, was cooking in the kitchen when she heard the noise and came out to see what was going on. Hey, the refrigerator had become brand new!

Then he noticed that Liang Jianxing had also come back with his son, which seemed strange, so he asked him why.

Han Ming didn't want to explain everything, so he lied to his mother and said that he ran into Liang Jianxing on his way to take the refrigerator to be repaired.

Then Liang Jianxing introduced him to a shop owned by an acquaintance for repairs.

When I got there, I saw that there was a unit of the same model as mine, so I just took it.

Out of respect for Uncle Liang, the shop owner traded in his old item for a new one without charging him. He then winked at Liang Jianxing, signaling him to cooperate.

Hearing her son say this, Chen Fang looked at Liang Jianxing with some skepticism.

Liang Jianxing is quite old; it's really hard for him to lie through his teeth.

But he was already on Han Ming's pirate ship, and having just received a hint from Han Ming, he had no choice but to laugh it off.

When Chen Fang saw that Liang Jianxing didn't deny it, she assumed that her son must have run into Old Liang on the road. She knew Old Liang well; he was a kind-hearted man.

I guess when he saw his son pushing the refrigerator to get it repaired, he didn't explicitly say he wanted to pay, but he probably secretly paid the repair shop himself. Otherwise, how could such a good thing happen to anyone?

Chen Fang didn't point it out; some favors are best kept in mind.

Seeing that it was almost lunchtime, he invited Liang Jianxing to eat at home.

After Chen Fang said that, Liang Jianxing looked up and saw that it was already 11 o'clock on the wall clock, and his expression immediately became interesting.

He then realized that he had gone to the market to buy groceries and noodles that morning, intending to cook something delicious for his precious daughter when he got home.

Between fighting and going to the workshop to see Han Ming's amazing printer, I was so busy that I forgot about this matter.

Looking down at his hands, he found them empty; he had even forgotten the vegetable basket his wife had used to carry his groceries at the entrance of the police station.

Liang Jianxing slapped his forehead. Oh no, he was going to get a scolding from his wife when he got home.

Not only did I not buy any vegetables, I even lost my shopping basket. It would be strange if I didn't get scolded when I got back.

Why isn't my phone ringing? Hasn't my wife been calling me? Liang Jianxing suddenly thought of this and reached into his pocket, but it took him a while to remember.

I thought buying groceries would be quick when I left home this morning, so I didn't even bring my phone with me.

Now, his wife, Pan Yue, must be extremely worried at home.

Thinking of this, Liang Jianxing didn't have time to explain to Chen Fang and Han Ming, and quickly ran to the landline to make a phone call home.

As soon as the call connected, Liang Jianxing's usually mild-tempered wife, Pan Yue, began to scold him.

Come to think of it, the husband, who was excited to go buy something nice for his daughter early in the morning, waited all morning but didn't come back, and he had forgotten his cell phone at home.

She was really worried sick.

If it weren't for having to stay home to take care of her daughter, Pan Yue would have gone out to find someone.

By noon, unable to wait any longer, she heated up some porridge for her daughter while anxiously waiting for her husband's call.

When she received the call from her husband, her heart finally settled down, and she couldn't help but scold him a few times.

Liang Jianxing pleaded softly a few times on the phone, and then quietly said that he was currently at Lao Han's house.

When Pan Yue heard this, she thought something had happened at Han Baili's house again, and her husband was rushing over to help.

So she didn't have time to blame her husband, but asked him if it was troublesome and if he wanted her to help.

Liang Jianxing knew that as long as he mentioned that he had something to do at Lao Han's house, his wife would stop harping on the matter he had been nagging about all morning, and sure enough, that's exactly what he expected.

He quickly said that it was nothing serious, just a small favor, to reassure his wife.

Then she asked what they had prepared for lunch and how their daughter was doing.

When Liang Jianxing heard his wife say that she had already cooked porridge and that he and his daughter had eaten it, since his daughter didn't have much of an appetite anyway, he felt quite embarrassed.

Thinking about how I'm empty-handed right now, even if I rush home, it won't be of any use.

So he simply asked his wife for leave, saying he would have dinner at Lao Han's house and chat with Lao Han for a while before going home.

He also promised to bring the food back before dinner so he could cook a delicious meal for her and her daughter himself.

Pan Yue didn't care whether her husband cooked anything delicious or not. She gave him a few more instructions over the phone and then hung up.

With one thing on his mind, Liang Jianxing felt much more relaxed, no longer looking as tense as before, like a child who had done something wrong and was worried about being scolded by his parents.

Han Ming found it somewhat amusing; it seemed that Uncle Liang was quite afraid of his wife.

When Chen Fang saw Liang Jianxing eating at home, she quickly said she would cook two more dishes. Liang Jianxing couldn't dissuade her, so he could only let his sister-in-law do the work.
