Chapter 44: Going Undercover?

Liu Debao has been calling Han Ming every day to report on his work lately. He has already accepted Han Ming as his new boss and has adapted to the role quite quickly.

After the game engine sent to him on the first night impressed Liu Debao's entire team, Han Ming felt that Liu Debao was quite admiring of him.

According to Liu Debao's original words, after receiving Han Ming's game engine, several eccentric members of the team initially underestimated it.

After analyzing the results, my jaw nearly dropped. Its unparalleled design combines the best features of all the advanced game engines available today.

This was a huge treasure trove for them, who had previously only used free engines developed overseas to design games.

The "ray engine" can be used to create the world's best game products.

With this idea in mind, the guys on the team began to look at their new boss, Han Ming, with new respect. He was a genius, an absolute genius.

The person who designed such an engine must be an extremely intelligent person. Even if he didn't make games, just selling this engine would surely make Han Ming a very wealthy man.

Since the game engine is already this good, the half-finished game that Han Ming sent over should be just as good.

The entire team was completely absorbed in watching the game that the boss called "World".

Initially, there was some internal debate, with some feeling that making games on a platform similar to The Sims didn't seem to have a promising future.

However, after learning about some of Han Ming's ideas...

In particular, the idea that the game is not divided into zones and that all players will play in one world impressed them.

It seems pretty good, and if other types of games are made in the future, they can be easily integrated into this game world.

The team reached a consensus and set out to improve the game as quickly as possible.

Han Ming listened to Liu Debao's progress report and also told him the good news that he had just received that his game company had been officially registered. Liu Debao was also very happy to hear this.

Han Ming then asked Liu Debao to compile some basic game code, package it up, and provide it to the relevant departments for approval.

A game without a birth certificate cannot be released. Don't spend all your time creating a game that can't be released to the market; that would be a huge problem.

When Liu Debao heard that Han Ming had given him a new task, he immediately agreed and told Han Ming to prepare the application materials as soon as possible.

After explaining everything, Han Ming stretched in the living room. Goodness gracious, starting a business is no joke.

Even with so many people helping me, I'm still exhausted and confused. I can't imagine how I would manage if I were alone.

Thinking this way, Han Ming admired his father quite a bit. Back then, he managed to build a small factory all by himself, which was truly remarkable.

Thinking of his father, Han Ming felt a surge of joy. As the days went by, his father's health improved day by day, and he was even able to get out of bed and walk around a little these past two days.

My dad was as excited as when he was a toddler learning to walk, his face beaming with excitement as he stepped out of bed for the first time.

It seems that humans really can't stay idle.

Han Baili now wholeheartedly supports Han Ming, and knowing that the factory is still undergoing building expansion, he is eager to go and see it.

However, he still has difficulty walking, so not only does his son forbid him from going, but his wife Chen Fang also strictly forbids it.

The food at dinner has improved significantly recently. Chen Fang feels sorry for her son, who is busy at the factory all day and still has to work when he gets home.

The meals on the table were no longer the two dishes and one soup that Han Ming had previously complained about; there was always fish and meat, and every two days there would be a stewed old hen.

Although Han Ming has been working quite hard lately, he's been eating well and doesn't seem to have lost weight; in fact, he seems to have gained some weight.

After happily finishing a chicken leg, Han Ming's phone rang again.

He wiped his hands, took it out, and saw that it was solemn.

This kid has been dragged to the factory by Han Ming lately to help the bricklayers as a laborer, and he's been working himself to the bone every day.

Han Ming was a little puzzled as to why the phone was suddenly ringing, so he quickly pressed the answer button.

"Ming-ge." A solemn voice came through the microphone:

What are we going to do tomorrow?

Upon hearing this, Han Ming was a little puzzled, since he had been helping out at the factory these past few days.

In order to meet the deadline, he and Zhuang Yan both took on odd jobs. Did Zhuang Yan feel tired and not want to work?

Han Ming asked curiously:

"I'm just helping out at the factory, what else can I be doing?"

Zhuang Yan hesitated for a moment on the other end of the phone before saying:

"Ming-ge, you can't expect me to keep doing menial tasks forever, can you?"

"What? You look down on this job?"

Han Ming joked.

"No, that's not it." Zhuang Yan quickly denied it, adding:

"I'm not afraid of this little bit of hardship. Carrying cement and moving bricks is far less intense than the training I did in the army."

"So what do you mean?"

Han Mingqi said.

"I... this..." Zhuang Yan hesitated, as if he wanted to say something but then stopped.

"Hey kid, have you taken the wrong medicine? What are you saying? Just say what you have to say."

Han Ming felt that Zhuang Yan had been acting silly ever since he returned from the provincial capital, and he didn't know what he was thinking.

"I wanted to ask, Ming-ge, will I be working under you as a construction supervisor for the rest of my life? I'm a communications soldier. I don't want to be a bricklayer."

Zhuang Yan finally mustered up his courage and spoke.

Han Ming laughed upon hearing this. This kid, so he was worried about him keeping him doing odd jobs. He's got quite a lot on his mind. He replied with a smile:
