Speak of the devil and he appears.
Soon after, a cart covered with a black cloth was pushed toward the competition platform.
The crowd cheered, their faces beaming with joy, clapping and shouting their approval.
Someone else said, "Everyone should keep their eyes peeled this time. This cage was carefully designed by us brothers."
Shen Jiao discovered that this person looked very similar to Elder Qingzhu, whose head had been blown open.
Although it was a dream, she could still clearly feel their gloating and ill intentions.
The black cloth was suddenly pulled back with a "whoosh".
To my surprise, the cart contained a birdcage with sharp spikes along its iron bars.
Inside, there was a ragged young man sitting.
The spikes extended to their ends, embedding themselves in the boy's body, causing new wounds with every movement.
To minimize the damage, he had no choice but to remain motionless in the same position he had been in when he first entered the cage.
The boy sat upright, unyielding, yet like a lifeless, withering rose.
Shen Jiao stood there, stunned.
What chilled her to the bone was not the boy's appalling situation.
Instead, it was this beautiful yet tragic young man...
It was Ji Yan!
In her dream, she was an ethereal being, unseen and unheard by anyone, yet at that moment, the boy in the birdcage seemed to sense it.
His gloomy yet sharp gaze, like a blade, pierced through everything and instantly met her eyes.
Shen Jiao's back stiffened.
Just as she was wondering if the teenage tyrant could see her.
Ji Yan coldly and indifferently shifted her gaze, as if she had only glanced at him briefly.
Shen Jiao's feelings were very complicated.
Ever since they met, he has been a high and mighty, incomparably noble monarch, who is incredibly arrogant and does whatever he wants.
Seeing him so pitiful and miserable, covered in blood, I was overwhelmed with emotion.
Relying on the fact that it was a dream, Shen Jiao recklessly drifted towards the young tyrant.
Even if it's a dream, she will take the initiative to rescue this poor child!
She stood in front of the birdcage.
Everyone remained calm, as if they were discussing how many people to send out, and did not notice anything unusual.
Only the boy lifted his eyelids and looked at her again with those extremely beautiful yet deep and silent eyes.
Without the slightest surprise, his tone remained calm and undisturbed.
Are you a fairy?
Compared to the tyrant who grew up, the young tyrant's voice still carried a hint of immaturity.
The fact that she asked that question clearly indicates that she realized no one could see her anymore.
However, Shen Jiao was very dissatisfied with the character design of the fairy. Her face and figure were clearly those of a fairy.
Sure enough, regardless of age, Ji Yan's eyesight is not very good.
She planned to tell the young tyrant that she had calculated from the heavens that there was a poor soul suffering in the mortal realm, and that she was a peerless fairy who had come to save him riding on auspicious seven-colored clouds.
Ji Yan replied, "Judging from your appearance, you must be a hamster spirit."
Shen Jiao: "???"
Judging from her appearance? A hamster spirit?
She was indignant; with her looks, she was at least a vixen!
Suddenly I don't really want to save them anymore.
But Shen Jiao soon realized that whether or not to save her was not a decision she could make.
She wasn't a physical being in the dream; her hands moved freely across the barred cage.
Everyone says that one's dreams can be controlled by one's own will, but no matter what she thought, nothing changed.
Shen Jiao refused to believe in superstition and tried again and again, only to fail each time.
She stomped her feet in frustration.
What kind of garbage dream is this?
Is it really that hard for her to be the hero in Ji Yan's eyes?
The young tyrant watched Shen Jiao wander back and forth in and out of the birdcage like a fool, staring at her with a strange expression.
"Is the bar for becoming a fairy really that low?"
How can something that doesn't seem very smart transform into a human?
Shen Jiao: "!!!"
It's not that she's bad at it; it's that she's truly powerless to do anything about it.
His injuries were likely severe; the young tyrant's face was deathly pale, and he spoke weakly and feebly, appearing very frail.
"Go play somewhere else, you hamster spirit. You're so stupid, this isn't a place for you."
As he spoke, bright red blood seeped from the corner of his mouth. Perhaps due to excessive blood loss, or perhaps due to extreme pain, he slowly closed his eyes.
Suddenly, a warm breeze landed on the wound, as gentle and tender as a soft spring rain.
Ji Yan opened his eyes and saw the hamster spirit solemnly breathing on the back of his hand, which was covered in wounds.
He was slightly taken aback, then sneered mercilessly, "You really are stupid, you don't even know who is stronger or weaker."
This dream was unbelievably real; Shen Jiao's lips were a little numb from blowing on it.
Why does this teenage tyrant talk so much? I really want to seal him up with tape.
She couldn't change anything else, so she could only soothe Ji Yan's wounds.
But the young tyrant had too many and too many wounds, and he hadn't eaten for several days. Every drop of blood he shed was consuming his already limited strength and life.
Shen Jiao thought to herself, "It's just a dream anyway, let it live or die as it pleases."
But all of this felt so real, like the tyrant's past experiences, that she dared not let her guard down.
A short while later, two burly men opened the cage and roughly dragged the young tyrant out.
The thorns grazed his few remaining good skin points, and blood gushed out instantly, soaking his blood-stained clothes.
Enraged, Shen Jiao swung a punch at the burly man, but it passed right through him again.
Unwilling to give up, she followed after him, frantically and desperately probing him. With her current strength, she was certain she could lead Ji Yan to escape.
But……
She looked at her hands.
