Sequel Story (Part 1)

(You can treat this as a side story or a chapter in the story. I will write sequels from time to time in the future, but not too frequently.)

Another world.

Inside the Tianyan Sect, in the pavilion.

Or Ge, dressed in white and holding a black fan, said, "Now that our master is seriously injured and has failed his tribulation, his cultivation has definitely regressed. If we join forces, we will surely be able to kill our master and obtain the cultivation techniques he possesses."

Dong Yisi spoke up: "Are you sure you want to do this? If we make the wrong judgment, we'll all die."

"What are you afraid of? I've had enough of them suppressing our strength. Otherwise, I would have already reached the Nascent Soul stage and done it." Ah Niu, a burly man holding a battle axe, immediately agreed.

Xunmeng'er could hardly believe what she was hearing: "You...you people, doing this is betraying our master and ancestors! I can't do that, it would be too unfair to my master for passing on his teachings."

Huo Ge smiled and said, "Junior sister, you haven't been practicing for long, so you don't understand. Did Master stop giving you the second half of the cultivation technique after you reached the Nascent Soul stage? You haven't broken through for a long time now, have you?"

Xunmeng'er blinked and said, "Master said my cultivation is progressing too fast and needs to be suppressed to build a solid foundation before continuing my cultivation."

"Ha, you believe such nonsense? Master's cultivation is extremely slow, and he's afraid that we disciples will surpass him. Listen to your senior brother and rebel with us. When we get the cultivation technique, we'll be able to ascend to immortality within a hundred years, given our cultivation aptitude."

He persuaded his junior sister, and the other disciples discussed the matter carefully.

......

"Yuexi!" Ji Yun woke up with a splitting headache. As soon as he opened his eyes, a flood of information rushed into his mind.

He lay on the ground, panting heavily, and slowly recovered after absorbing all the information.

He wiped the sweat from his forehead and quickly looked around.

This is Ye Feng, the Lord of the Demonic Path, who was ambushed by his eldest disciple and his men when he was undergoing his tribulation to break through to the Nascent Soul stage. In the end, he failed to pass the tribulation, his soul was severely damaged, and he died. It seems that he has directly usurped the throne.

Judging from the noise outside the door, these were Ye Feng's disciples.

The eldest disciple, Shanming, was at the early stage of the Nascent Soul realm. His wicked nature caught the eye of Ye Feng, who took him into the Tianyan Sect and carefully nurtured him. Unexpectedly, this boy's ambition grew, and he colluded with the six major sects to launch a sneak attack while Ye Feng was undergoing his tribulation.

Second disciple: Dong Yisi, with the cultivation of a Nascent Soul cultivator at its peak. He has a straightforward personality. Unable to bear the sarcastic mockery of his fellow disciples, he killed several of them and fled. By chance, he became a disciple of Ye Feng and entered the Tianyan Sect.

The third disciple, named Huoge, is at the peak of the Nascent Soul stage. He is calm and collected, appearing as a refined gentleman, but in reality, he is ruthless at heart.

Fourth disciple: A Niu, mid-Nascent Soul stage, has a volatile temper. He once slaughtered a city of mortals because people were too noisy. He was later discovered by Ye Feng who happened to pass by and was taken in by the Tianyan Sect.

Fifth disciple: Xun Meng'er, early stage of Nascent Soul, the latest to join the sect, the weakest in strength, and also Ye Feng's favorite disciple.

Except for the last disciple, none of them seemed to be easy to deal with, and each of them was exceptionally talented and cultivated at an extremely fast pace.

Ji Yun swayed for a moment. As a Demon Lord for life, he was afraid of being backlashed by his own disciples, so he suppressed their cultivation. He was then ambushed and seriously injured by his eldest disciple and outsiders, and died. It was truly a humiliating situation.

Now that he has failed his tribulation, his cultivation level has plummeted to only the early stage of the Nascent Soul realm.

Ji Yun sensed the body, looking at the aged hands, the white hair, and tugging at the beard, which was quite long.

Circulating his spiritual energy and feeling this powerful force reassured him considerably.

He possessed the cultivation level of a Nascent Soul cultivator, but lacked any cultivation techniques; he was essentially possessing a body, and everything this body had learned in its previous life was something he couldn't have acquired through memory alone.

The Dharma Image was activated, and a ten-zhang-tall Dharma Image directly enveloped the main hall.

Ji Yun looked at it and saw that now that he had taken over this body, even the appearance of the Dharma Image had changed.

He then put away the image and walked directly out of the main hall.

Upon seeing this, the disciples in the pavilion outside immediately came over and knelt down in worship.

Dong Yisi, Xunmeng'er, and A Niu: "Greetings, Master!"

The singer, holding a fan, knelt on the ground, his face filled with worry, and said, "It's good that Master is alright. This disciple was very worried. The six major sects are currently besieging the formation outside, and I'm afraid they will break through it soon. We can't contact our senior brother now, otherwise we could..."

Ji Yun sneered, "Your senior brother colluded with the six major sects outside to ambush me. He was severely injured by me and no one knows where he is hiding now."

Xunmeng'er: "Huh?"

Dong Yisi: "No way, Senior Brother...?"

With her arms crossed and her fan resting on her chin, Huo Ge said, "How could this be? I had long suspected that Senior Brother had ulterior motives, but I never expected him to be so audacious."

"Our senior brother has actually committed the despicable act of betraying his master and ancestors! It's utterly hateful!" Ah Niu said angrily.

The gate of the sect.

The array outside was being struck by various spells with a series of loud bangs.

"Old Demon Ye Feng, come out and face your death!"

“You little devils of the Tianyan Sect, if you know what’s good for you, open the formation. If you help us kill that old demon, you might be able to save your lives. Otherwise, there will be no place for you to hide in heaven or on earth. You’re doomed.”

A group of people outside the door were shouting, looking as if they couldn't wait to break through the formation and rush in.

Huo Ge spoke up, "The six major sects dare to besiege our Tianyan Sect. Please, Master, take action and destroy them."

Dong Yisi cupped his hands and said, "Master's cultivation is unparalleled. Once the Myriad Soul Banner is used, everyone will die."

Ah Niu grinned and flattered, "You don't even need the Myriad Soul Banner, Master can shatter them with a single slap."

Ji Yun calmly said, "I am seriously injured and the Myriad Soul Banner has been destroyed. I need you, my good disciples, to fight alongside me."

"Master is joking. I was just a sitting duck when I went up there. I was no match for them at all. Is Master seriously injured? The great formation can still hold for a while. Master can continue to recover from your injuries."
