A self-torture tactic?

A self-torture tactic?

It was he who destroyed everything for Fan Liye.

When Sylvia shouted this, Pani looked at Fan Liye nervously. Rather than being angry about this sentence, he cared more about Fan Liye's feelings.

It had been so long, and Fan Liye had long been accustomed to it. He didn't react much to this statement, but simply said, "If you leave now, you might still be able to survive."

Fan Liye had told Pani before not to attack humans, so he did nothing and just stood aside and watched quietly.

Sylvia was unwilling to miss the opportunity and pulled Fan Liye away from Pani. Apollo pointed the gun at Pani to cover Sylvia's escape.

"Even Tang couldn't defeat the pure-blood. Do you think you can compare to Gregory?" Fan Liye didn't resist. He was obediently pulled away by Sylvia and reminded her.

"No matter what, I will try to take you back." Sylvia took Fan Li Ye outside, and Pani followed. Although he would not attack them, he would not let them take Fan Li Ye away.

Seeing Pani catching up, Sylvia quickened her pace.

Seeing that Fan Liye followed her away without any resistance, Pani ran a few steps anxiously: "Young Master, don't leave."

"Don't come over!" Sylvia immediately fired two shots to stop Pani. She knew that no matter how accurate she was with the pistol, it would be impossible to hit the ancestor with one shot.

"Hong...no...uh!" Pani raised her hand and then withdrew it, then felt a huge pain in her arm.

Sylvia fired the first shot to block Pani's actions, and then shot him in the arm.

He was a little too concerned about Fan Liye and didn't pay attention for a moment, and only dodged one bullet.

The bullet hitting his arm caused great pain. He frowned and covered the bleeding wound, but did not stop.

Apollo followed Sylvia and fired. He knew that Pani was a little anxious now, so he pointed the gun downwards at his calf. When Sylvia hit Pani and he paused, he also shot Pani in the calf to stop him from moving forward.

The pain made Pani's legs go weak and she staggered forward a few steps, barely managing to stand still without falling.

He saw Sylvia holding Fan Liye's arm and walking away from him without stopping. He took a few steps forward anxiously.

"Wait...wait! Pani...!" Fan Liye stretched out his hand to stop Sylvia from shooting again. He held Sylvia's arm, causing her bullet to deviate from its course, grazed Pani's waist and hit the floor.

Fan Liye quickly turned around to look at Pani. Pani frowned. Blood was constantly flowing out of his injured arm, covering his entire forearm. The wound on his calf was also bleeding, leaving a bloody trail on the ground. The bullet had grazed his waist, tearing his clothes, exposing his flesh and blood, which was also bleeding. He didn't look good.

With Pani's strength, there was no way he could be hit.

Is he using a self-torture tactic... or is he just too impatient?

Pani did not stop, he continued to walk forward with his injured leg, letting the blood flow out. He did not attack, he just moved closer to Fan Liye.

"Young sir... please... don't leave..." Pani stretched out his hand towards Fan Liye. His hand was covered in blood, and the wound on his arm did not stop the blood from flowing out, making him look even more miserable.

Fan Liye had been injured by silver weapons before. The pain was unbearable for a vampire. Moreover, the bullet buried in the flesh would continue to erode the wound, and there was no way to stop it. His wound would only get worse.

Why not use abilities?

Sylvia protected Fan Liye behind her and raised her arm to shoot again.

Fan Liye glanced at Pani and immediately flashed in front of Sylvia. However, Sylvia shot too quickly and he couldn't stop her. He subconsciously raised his hand to block the bullet.

The bullet passed through Fan Liye's right hand and hit Pani's chest. Pani suppressed a cry of pain and frowned at Fan Liye's hand: "Young sir, your hand...don't hurt him!"

Fan Liye frowned and looked at Sylvia. Sylvia was stunned for a moment and was about to shoot at Pani again.

Fan Liye immediately held the scepter horizontally against her chest and took a step forward, pushing her back a step to stop her action.

Sylvia was stunned. She looked at Fan Liye with some disbelief. Fan Liye did not hesitate and stepped back in front of Pani to block him. He held the scepter horizontally in front of him to signal Sylvia not to take any further action.

"Fan! What are you doing!" Sylvia shouted.

Pani frowned and reached out to hold Fan Liye's right hand. He felt very distressed when he saw the wound on it. He endured the pain, his voice trembling a little: "Wait... I'll let Bartholomew treat your wound first."

Fan Liye glanced at Pani, frowned at Sylvia, and said in a cold voice: "Wright, I will not go with you. Leave now, otherwise... I will not be able to control the red flame of the First Earl."

Fan Liye stuck the scepter on the ground, and flames quickly surrounded and burned the scepter. He was warning them that if they messed up again, he would use Pani's ability.

Sylvia wanted to do something, but Apollo grabbed her hand and pulled her away: "Sylvia, go back first, don't act impulsively."

Apollo took Sylvia away. Fan Liye then put away the flames, turned around to support Pani, and asked hurriedly, "Does it hurt? Bird! Come out quickly! Gregory is injured!"

"Young man...it hurts a lot..." Pani held Fan Liye's hand and didn't care about his wound at all, but his face was pale and his vision was a little blurry.

He looked at Fan Liye and smiled, then knelt down weakly in front of Fan Liye. If Fan Liye hadn't supported him, he would have fallen to the ground.

"Penny! No...don't..."

Pani couldn't hear what Fan Liye said and quickly lost consciousness. When he woke up again, his wound had been treated and he was still feeling a little painful.

The first thing he wanted to do was to look at Fan Liye. He turned around and saw Benjamin: "Why are you here?"

"What else are you saying?" Benjamin said angrily. "Fan just said we couldn't kill them, so why didn't you do anything? It would be fine if you didn't do anything, but why didn't you just hide? Is this a self-torture tactic?"

"..." Pani coughed lightly, "No, I was in a hurry at the time and didn't notice..."

"Just die," Benjamin said. "You're such a disgrace to the First Ancestor. Being beaten like this by two Blood Hunters, I've never seen another First Ancestor look so miserable. And you're the First Earl, you're such a fool!"

"Let's not talk about this anymore. Where's the young master?" Pani said.

Benjamin sighed. “You, I really don’t know what to say. He’s been taking care of you during this period. I told him to rest first after I opened the door so that he wouldn’t be too tired.”

Pani was stunned: "He is taking care of me?"

"Yeah, it's stunning, isn't it?" Benjamin said. "You're an ancestor after all, so can't you look a bit like one?"

"I'm going to see the young gentleman. He injured his hand." After saying this, Pani was about to leave, but was pushed back onto the bed by Benjamin.

"He just went to rest. Let him have a good rest and sleep. Don't disturb him." Benjamin said, "Besides, he only injured his hand. Your injury is more serious. Take care of yourself."

"I am the ancestor. My healing ability is stronger than his. I will recover faster." Pani said.

Benjamin shook his head helplessly: "Then can you at least let him rest for a while?"

"You're right. You should take care of him these few days. Don't tire him out." Pani said, "Don't worry. I'll get better soon and won't waste too much of your time."

"It's okay. I have to come here every day to train him anyway," Benjamin said. "Take care of your injuries. I've never seen you injured before, but you've been quite frequent in the past year."
