Go to war

Go to war

Fan Liye said nothing and left with Fan Jin. He couldn't say anything. The Blood Hunters were the most devoted to God. For God, they would do anything.

If he and Basel switched places, he would also kill the other for God. He might hesitate, or feel pain, but in the end he would choose God.

After a while, they would be out of the protected area. To avoid unnecessary trouble, Fan Liye took a route where there were no familiar areas. This would attract more attention during the day, so he could move more effectively at night.

As night fell, Fan Liye took the opportunity to quicken his pace. Suddenly, he heard a familiar mechanical sound, followed by a familiar voice.

"stop."

Fan Liye stopped holding Fan Jie'en. He lowered his head and raised his hands to let Fan Jie'en wrap them around his neck. He slowly turned around and looked at the man who was pointing a gun at him not far away.

It was Basel. Unexpectedly, the other party was standing alone in front of him, with no other blood hunters around.

Since there was only one person, Fan Liye turned around and prepared to leave. He didn't plan to say anything more to Bazel. Since there were no other blood hunters around, he could leave quickly.

"I told you to stop!" Bazel lowered his voice. He knew that if he fired a shot, it would attract other patrols, so he immediately drew out his dagger and threw it over.

The dagger grazed Fan Liye's arm and stabbed into the ground. Fan Liye frowned and covered the wound. Blood continued to flow out, and the wound was painful as if it had been corroded and could not heal. This was silver, which was deadly to vampires. He could not heal the wound, and he could feel double the pain.

It turns out that vampires feel so much pain when they are hurt by silver.

Fan Liye turned sideways. If Bazel wanted to kill him, he would have shot him, not stopped him with a dagger. Fan Liye raised his eyes and looked over. Even though it was night, Bazel could clearly see the other person's blood-red eyes.

He is a vampire, now a complete vampire.

Bazel slowly pointed the gun at Fan Liye's head and said in a low voice, "If you dare to move again, I will shoot."

Fan Liye frowned, not because of Bazel's words, but because of the pain in his arm. The injuries he had sustained during the Blood Hunt were tens of thousands of times more severe, but they were nowhere near as painful as this minor wound.

"What do you want to do?" Fan Liye frowned. Even if he was a vampire now, he would die from excessive bleeding. What's more, he had never sucked other people's blood during this period and was very weak.

"Why did you betray God?" Bazel asked in a low voice, "Why did you accept the blood of a vampire!"

Why are you questioning me?

Fan Liye looked at Bazel, his scarlet eyes filled with indifference: "What did you say when I was being assimilated?"

"Whether I'm a vampire or a human, we're friends." Fan Liye sneered. "The facts are before you. I've become a vampire, yet you're questioning why I betrayed God and accepted vampire blood. So everything you said before was a lie?"

"Speak out, speak out, my God."

"Is it me who betrayed God, or has God abandoned me?" Fan Liye shouted, "I have never let God down, yet He paid no attention to me when I was in pain. I was unable to resist and was in endless pain, but what about him!?"

"Yes, that's it. Go and accuse that false God."

"My resistance ends here. I will no longer make those who worry about me feel uncomfortable. And you, Bazel, as a blood hunter, should kill me instead of questioning me." Fan Liye said coldly and prepared to leave.

Bazel immediately said, "Fan! If you come back with me now to meet God, there's still room for turning back. We are friends, and I sincerely consider you a friend!"

"He'll kill you."

Fan Liye shook his head: "I am already a vampire. You and I are enemies. I will not go back to see God."

"Fan." Bazel gritted his teeth, "If you leave today, we will never be able to get along well again."

Fan Liye said nothing and turned to leave. Gunshots rang out immediately, and he reacted instantly, dodging the bullet with a sidestep. He looked at Bazel, who was not far away, and silently continued to retreat, intending to get away from him.

The gunshot attracted many blood hunters. Seeing Fan Liye, they immediately surrounded him. Bazel approached him with a sullen expression. Whatever they had said had been said. Fan Liye was adamant and would not listen to him. From the moment the gunshot rang out, their positions had been completely opposed.

He is a blood hunter, a blood hunter of God and a blood hunter of mankind.

"Bazel, A-rank Blood Hunter." Bazel raised his hand to touch the military emblem on his chest, raised his other hand and pointed the muzzle of the gun at Fan Liye's forehead, and said in a deep voice, "I will strangle the vampire, Fan."

Fan Liye looked warily at the Blood Hunters surrounding him. His arm was still bleeding, the wound inflicted by the silver weapon painful. Coupled with Fan Jin's presence, he was somewhat overly concerned. Moreover, with so many Blood Hunters, it would be difficult for him to handle them alone. Having been a Blood Hunter himself before, he felt a little reluctant to take action.

He just wanted to leave here and had no intention of attacking Blood Hunter.

Try not to hurt them and leave.

Fan Liye could guarantee that he wouldn't die here; someone would keep him safe, but he didn't want to rely on others. He gripped the scepter tightly, hoping the flames would help him escape. But in his dreams, he'd witnessed the power of the red flames; they were too strong and could cause casualties among the Blood Hunters.

The most likely thing at the moment is to rely on his speed and use the scepter to knock them out and escape from here.

All the Blood Hunters raised their pistols and pointed them at Fan Liye. Without a second thought, he immediately ran outside. Countless gunshots rang out, and Fan Liye dodged the bullets thanks to his vampire-like speed. He was also a Blood Hunter before, so he was quite capable and knew what a Blood Hunter would do, so he dodged them easily.

If he didn't fight back now, his chances of escaping would be slim. Fan Liye immediately turned and raised his hand, striking the Blood Hunters on the back of their necks with his staff, knocking them unconscious. Most of the Blood Hunters patrolling the protected area were no match for those patrolling the disaster area, and with the vampire advantage, he quickly knocked the others unconscious.

As the captain of the disaster area defense team, Bazel's strength should not be underestimated. He was able to fight the weak Fan Liye several times. The smell of blood became stronger and stronger. Knowing that the pistol could not cause any harm to Fan Liye, Bazel took out his dagger again to fight him.

As a Blood Hunter, Fan Liye was more formidable than Bazel, let alone a vampire. He immediately reached out and brushed Bazel's arm, bending it back and pressing it down. Without hesitation, Fan Liye raised his hand and struck the other man in the back of the neck.

Bazel groaned and fell down softly. Fan Liye sighed, gently put him on the ground, and then left.

Suddenly, his ankle felt tight. Fan Liye looked down and saw the other person grabbing his ankle with all his strength. He said sadly, "Fan... don't... leave... there's no turning back..."

"There's no turning back for me." Fan Liye said lightly, struggled to break free from Bazel's hand, and left quickly.

"Fan..." Basel's consciousness became increasingly blurred. He watched Fan Liye leaving, frowned sadly, and then lost consciousness.
