You deserve to die

You deserve to die

After Fan Liye's injuries healed, Pani arranged for Bartholomew to train with him in the backyard. To be on the safe side, Pani supervised the whole process. As long as he was not there, he forbade Bartholomew and Fan Liye to train.

No matter what, Fan Liye is still a mixed-blood at the moment, and it is still dangerous for him to face the pure-blooded Bartholomew. If Bartholomew attacks too hard and injures Fan Liye, Pani can arrange for a vampire to treat him as soon as possible.

Fan Liye knew he couldn't defeat Bartholomew at the moment, so he held back during training. Remember, these weren't just two people training each other, but two vampires. A human hitting hard would only result in minor injuries, but a vampire hitting hard would leave blood splattering everywhere.

Although he can heal, Fan Liye is not currently drinking human blood. The loss of blood will make him more hungry, reduce his strength, and affect his movements.

Bartholomew noticed that Fan Liye was being cautious, so he smiled and said, "Young sir, you can use all your strength. I will be careful not to hurt you."

Fan Liye hesitated. He couldn't trust Bartholomew, but continuing to train with restraint would be futile. He needed to get stronger, so he couldn't let this stumble him down. After thinking for a moment, he decided to go all out. At worst, he'd just have to eat a few more mouthfuls of his own blood.

Bartholomew smiled again after noticing Fan Liye's increased strength. He began training with confidence, which was the only way to achieve results. He could still handle a mixed-blood, but he was facing Fan Liye, a vampire who had previously been very powerful as a blood hunter. He could sense that his opponent's strength was not to be underestimated.

"Young sir, now that you're a vampire, you have to use your natural strengths. You have to combine speed and power." Bartholomew resisted Fan Liye's attack and said slowly, "Although we can kill humans with one strike, there are occasionally more advanced blood hunters, and we will use force, like this."

Bartholomew said, turning around and using the momentum to kick Fan Liye in the abdomen. Fan Liye immediately dodged sideways, and then a heavy punch landed in front of him. He reacted immediately and raised his arm to block, but heard the sound of bones cracking.

"Bartholomew!" Pani's voice came instantly, "Stop!"

Fan Liye frowned as he held his broken arm. The pain made him speechless. Fortunately, the blood race's healing ability allowed his bones to recover quickly. By the time Pani walked up to him, Fan Liye's arm had recovered completely, but there was still some pain.

Bartholomew lowered his head as if admitting his mistake, but a faint smile remained on his face: "Master, I accidentally used too much force. Please punish me."

Bartholomew had just demonstrated to Fan Liye the speed and strength of the vampires. He had just dodged his kick when a punch came his way. Even if he had reacted quickly enough to block, the force would have broken his bones, reducing his mobility.

This also explains one thing. When Pani captured him and brought him back, she used all her strength, not using her full strength at all. She was afraid that if she used too much force, she would hit him through.

Just as Fan Liye was thinking this, Pani verified his idea. He punched Bartholomew in the abdomen. There was no change on Bartholomew's face, but he knelt down and began to vomit blood.

"Gregory." Fan Liye grabbed Pani's arm as he was about to hit him again and shook his head. "This is common during training. If he gets a little too hard, just stop him. I won't grow."

"Young sir." Pani grabbed Fan Liye's arm and said calmly, "You should have known the night you became a vampire that I could have restrained my strength and fought you for so long. Even if I hit you hard, I shouldn't have broken your bones. He's wrong, and you still want to stop me?"

Fan Liye frowned: "A little punishment is enough. Vampires have the ability to heal. I'm fine now."

"According to what you said, purebloods have stronger healing abilities, so he'll be fine now." Pani's face turned cold. "Like I said, healing ability is one thing, pain is another."

"I won't watch you train anymore, lest it upset me." Pani let go of Fan Liye and turned to leave. "Bartholomew, be aware of your status and your limits, otherwise... you know how I will punish you."

"Yes, master." Bartholomew wiped the blood and immediately stood up and saluted.

Pani glanced at Fan Liye, then turned and left. Fan Liye felt helpless, as it seemed Pani was angry. Bartholomew looked at Fan Liye and asked, "Young Master, aren't you going to find the master? He's left."

Fan Liye was slightly puzzled: "Why?"

"The master is angry," said Bartholomew.

"I know." Fan Liye said.

Bartholomew paused. "It seems that the young master doesn't care about the master. The master is just concerned about you and is afraid that you will be hurt or in pain."

"You're right, I don't care." Fan Liye said calmly, "Still training? If you want to go find him, that's fine."

"No," Bartholomew said, "Continue training. This is my duty."

Fan Liye continued to train with Bartholomew. After what happened just now, Bartholomew indeed restrained his strength. Although it still hurt when he was hit, at least no bones were broken.

Pani returned to the room and looked at the pile of papers on the table. He began to feel irritated for some reason. He walked to the table and began to sort the papers. Looking at the contents written on them, he became more and more irritated.

Who wants to care about the struggle between those people? It's a waste of time.

Pani sighed and leaned back in her chair. He was clearly concerned about Fan Liye, so why didn't he appreciate it? Instead, he spoke up for Bartholomew? Did he really hate him that much? Did he hate him so much because he assimilated him?

He has clearly tried his best to make amends, why is it of no use?

There was a sound at the door. Pani looked over and saw a figure walking in. Seeing Pani's expression, the other person was slightly surprised: "First Earl, I have never seen you look like this before."

"What are you doing here?" Pani said irritably.

"What's wrong?" Benjamin walked up to Pani and looked her up and down. "I've never seen you so upset before."

Benjamin Dennis. Vampire, First Marquis. Ability: Explosion.

Pani frowned and said nothing in annoyance. Benjamin continued, "When I came in, I saw a man who looked a bit like the perfect work of art you mentioned before. He was training with Bartholomew. Did you find a... substitute?"

Hearing this, Pani became even more annoyed: "It's me, you can deduct it if you are blind."

"Oh, it's me. No wonder you're so annoyed. Why, you're upset seeing him training with Bartholomew?" Benjamin asked. Before Tiffany could answer, he shouted, "What!? Me? You kidnapped him? Why is he training with Bartholomew? Huh? What did you do?"

Looking at Benjamin's shocked face, Pani rubbed his temples and said, "When I was at your house before, I assimilated him. Now he's a vampire, and he wants to become stronger, so I asked Bartholomew to train with him. It's not that I don't like it, it's just..."

Before Pani could say anything, Benjamin was shocked again and shouted, "What!? You assimilated him? Isn't he a Blood Hunter? How could he agree to come to you? You... you deserve to die."

Pani asked in confusion: "?"
