Wear my clothes

Wear my clothes

Chen Chao slept soundly; it was the deepest sleep he had had recently. He was no longer having chaotic dreams due to immense pressure, but had truly fallen into a deep slumber.

When he woke up, he felt a long-lost radiance.

The people around him, due to their biological clocks, woke up earlier than him.

"Good morning, boss." Steve had finished washing up and was standing at the foot of the bed wearing Chen Chao's clothes.

"Good morning." Chen Chao was quite pleased to see Steve wrapped in his own clothes. He got up from the bed, stood in front of Steve, and pulled him by the collar, saying, "From now on, you're only allowed to wear my clothes except when you're on a mission."

"Yes, boss." Steve blushed. Although he had taken the initiative to be with Chen Chao, being teased so directly still made him a little uncomfortable. His boss, who was always so abstinent in public, would actually say something like this?

Chen Chao chuckled softly as he looked at Steve's expression, then turned to wash up.

“You’ll be in charge of my security until you’re cleared to go on field missions again, so you won’t have to worry about whether I bring bodyguards or not every day,” Chen Chao said to Steve as he left.

"Yes, boss." Steve smiled happily when he saw Chen Chao compromise on the security issue.

"But you don't need to worry about security while I'm in Tean, so you can arrange your time freely during the day, whether you go to Tean's training facilities or go shopping. I'll have Trot send you my daily schedule, and you can pick me up when I need to go out."

"Okay, boss."

Steve accompanied Chen Chao to the car to Te'an, and sat in the back seat with Chen Chao.

When working, Chen Chao always wears a sharp suit, with high-quality fabric covering his cuffs and ankles. Combined with his always expressionless face, he appears ascetic and aloof.

This was the first time Steve had sat in such a small, private space with Chen Chao. While keeping a watchful eye on the view outside the window, he couldn't help but steal glances at his boss out of the corner of his eye. How come he hadn't noticed how handsome his boss was before?

Chen Chao's face was clean, with a sharp, angular jawline. His features were aloof and individual, not particularly striking, but together they were perfectly balanced, exuding a cold and sharp aura.

Noticing Steve's gaze, Chen Chao found it somewhat amusing. He raised the partition between the front and back rows and slowly said, "The way you are makes me want to bully you."

Steve turned to look into Chen Chao's eyes. For a moment, he wanted to say, "Fine, go ahead and bully me." But he knew Chen Chao wouldn't let his emotions get the better of him when he was working, and he was Chen Chao's bodyguard; he had to remain professional.

Steve calmed himself down, adjusted himself to mission mode, and silently maintained the necessary vigilance.

Seeing Steve's change in demeanor, Chen Chao revealed an undisguised smile. He was a powerful and professional man, always knowing exactly what to do and when. It was precisely because of this that Steve was able to ignite the most brutal desires deep within him.

The more powerful a person is, the more people want to conquer them.

The satisfaction of making proud and powerful people willingly kneel at one's feet is the most potent aphrodisiac.

After arriving at Tean, Chen Chao went upstairs alone, while Steve went to the other corner of the garage to get his own car and drove off. He'd been idle for too long; it was time to go to the training facilities to work up his fitness.

The Special Agents' training facilities are located in the suburbs, and include an indoor shooting range, a gym, and a dedicated weapons room. Unlike the military, which has vast facilities available, and given the limited number of highly skilled agents within the Special Agents organization, their training grounds are equipped with cutting-edge technology, aiming to maximize both cost and efficiency.

Treadmills with oxygen-controlled masks, shooting ranges that can simulate crosswinds outdoors, automatic motion capture analyzers, personal data tracking and automatic report analysis... Every agent in the Special Security Service who needs to go on armed missions is bought with money.

As Steve entered the shooting range after verifying his identity, Trot had already sent Chen Chao's schedule for the day. Chen Chao was going to have dinner with Chen Xi that evening at a high-end restaurant in the city center that offered a relatively private setting and had no basic security.

A typical VIP protection team requires a huge number of members. There are many points to manage: those clearing the area beforehand, those observing from the perimeter, those providing close protection, and so on. After all, killing is always easier than saving someone in this world.

But Steve agreed with Chen Chao's point of view: if Chen Chao could be assassinated in the heart of the capital, their special security force should cease operations. How could they protect the country if they couldn't even guarantee the safety of the capital?

Steve's insistence on having Chen Chao bring bodyguards wasn't because he genuinely felt there was any serious danger, but rather out of fear of some unexpected emergencies.

Chen Chao is usually very tired from work, and when he's not working, he probably doesn't have much brainpower left to handle miscellaneous matters. In case of any accidents or emergencies, bodyguards can at least help him out.

Therefore, even without a large security team, Chen Chao could indeed manage with just himself.

In his office on the top floor of the special security building, Chen Chao read the investigation report handed to him and fell into deep thought.

If we dig any deeper into this matter, it will become much more complicated.

"Keep an eye on it and don't take any action until you receive further orders."

Upon hearing Chen Chao's instructions, the subordinate standing in front of the desk showed a hint of doubt: "Minister, we have enough evidence now. If we don't take action soon, the data may be transferred out of the country."

"I know." Chen Chao's voice was cold and flat. His gaze swept over the newly promoted young man, his expression unchanged, but his voice now carried a hint of instruction. "I'm asking you, can you guarantee that once the operation is launched, you'll completely wipe them out? Can the police fully cooperate with your procedures and leave no room for criticism?"

The young man froze. He truly couldn't.

Special Security Service (SSA) is not a law enforcement agency. Although it has investigative powers, it still needs the cooperation of the police to make arrests and conduct trials. How to smoothly involve the police and how to do it in a way that is transparent and leaves no room for criticism is a skill that requires expertise.

"Once the operation begins, the informant will inevitably be exposed. If you can't eliminate them completely, what will happen to their safety?"

Chen Chao's question was like a whip lashing the young man's back. He immediately realized that he had been too hasty and almost made a big mistake.

"Understood, Minister. It was my oversight. But we really don't have much time left to stop the data leak."

Chen Chao glanced at the young man but said nothing more, only gesturing for him to leave.

Special agents themselves don't have law enforcement power and are not law enforcement agencies. Abroad, they enjoy a high degree of freedom because they are spies and agents anyway, and they're unlikely to be expected to obey laws or regulations. But in China, it's a completely different story; they cannot act arbitrarily towards their own citizens.

Solving problems seamlessly is an art. This art requires comprehensive control and the skill of leveraging external forces. This is too difficult for a newly promoted manager; Chen Chao had to do it himself.

Despite a busy day, Chen Chao managed to leave work on time. Steve returned to Tean at six o'clock and waited for Chen Chao at the elevator with the driver.

When Chen Chao stepped out of the elevator and saw Steve standing at the door, he inexplicably felt most of the fatigue that had accumulated throughout the day disappear. His expression remained unchanged, but his steps were lighter than usual.

Steve opened the car door and followed Chen Chao into the car. The car drove smoothly to the restaurant that Chen Xi had booked in advance.

The restaurant waiter came over to open the door for them. Steve got out of the car first, and after confirming that the surrounding environment was safe, he led Chen Chao out of the car as well.

Then he followed half a step behind Chen Chao, walking deeper into the area with the guide.

Steve was about the same height as Chen Chao, but much more muscular. He was wearing Chen Chao's clothes, his muscles slightly bulging out from under the fabric, revealing a wildness that Chen Chao lacked.

Chen Chao's clothes are mostly designed by the same haute couture brand, and the design language is the same: a steady and understated style. Although Steve always follows half a step behind Chen Chao, the high-end fabric makes him look less like an attendant or bodyguard and more like a partner wearing matching outfits with Chen Chao.

Chenxi had booked a window seat with a view, and her eyes lit up when she saw them approaching from afar. As the two drew closer, Chenxi openly sized Steve up and down twice:

"Brother, aren't you going to introduce him? Who is this?" Chen Xi knew that Chen Chao didn't like having anyone follow him and always came to meet her alone, so she couldn't help but be very curious about Steve, who was following behind Chen Chao at this moment.

"The person in charge of my security at Te'an, you can call him Steve," Chen Chao introduced.

Chenxi's eyes darted around, clearly indicating that she had her own thoughts, but she didn't say much. She simply stood up and extended her hand to greet Steve: "Hello, I'm Chenxi."

Steve was startled by Chen Xi's actions. How could a follower like him be acquainted with the eldest daughter of the Chen family? But his quick thinking as a top agent saved him. He calmly reached out and gently shook hands with Chen Xi, his voice steady and without a trace of emotion: "Hello, Miss Chen."

Chen Xi laughed: "I own a company, you can call me President Chen. Miss Chen sounds a bit strange."

“Yes, Mr. Chen.” Steve readily agreed.

Seeing that Chenxi was holding back her mischief and wanted to cause more trouble, Chenchao interrupted the two of them and said to Steve, "Find a place to wait for me."

"yes."

Steve stepped back and found an empty table about three meters away to sit down and order food.

Chenxi turned her gaze away from Steve with a hint of regret, and asked Chenchao with a smile, "When did you start having bodyguards? And you even dress them in your clothes. Are you that caring towards your subordinates?"

Chen Chao's expression remained unchanged. He took a sip of champagne before slowly replying, "Is there a problem with me having bodyguards? Besides, I receive so many new clothes every season that I can't wear them all. Using them to improve my security image is making the most of them."

Chenxi listened to Chen Chao's nonsense without calling him out on it, and simply let out a drawn-out "oh" to indicate that she understood.

"I'm in a relationship," Chenxi solemnly announced.

"Oh." Chen Chao calmly put a bite of appetizer into his mouth, answering without any surprise.

"What's with your reaction?" Chen Xi asked, annoyed.

"How many months are you planning to negotiate this time?" Chen Chao asked.

“This time it’s true love.” Chenxi said, a genuine look of affection appearing in her eyes. “He’s a very cute little boy.”

"Pfft!" Chen Chao couldn't help but laugh out loud, "A cute little boy like you can't handle this."

"Brother~~" Chenxi pretended to be angry, and said in a soft voice to Chenchao in a coquettish tone.

"Okay, send me the information, I'll help you get a feel for things first."

"Big brother is the best!"
