Chapter 17 I Want an Ear

"Is this your first time here, sir?" The eunuch slave couldn't help asking as he followed Song Yushu, who was looking around curiously.

Of course, to be honest, this was also the first time that Song Yushu had really gone out. Before that, he had always gone out with his godfather.

Song Yushu nodded without hesitation, "It's indeed my first time here, and this place is quite different from what I imagined."

The turtle slave raised his head and took a careful look at Song Yushu, but did not find any contempt on Song Yushu's face. He pursed his lips and said nothing.

Song Yushu turned his head and glanced at the little turtle slave, then took out a small piece of silver from his pocket and handed it to him, "Let's find a place to talk."

"Your Excellency, what are you doing?" The eunuch took a step back in disbelief, perhaps he had not expected Song Yushu's sudden action.

"We were just talking, nothing more." Song Yushu looked at his reaction, suddenly realized it, and smiled awkwardly. "I just wanted to ask you something."

Before the eunuch could say anything, a man appeared out of nowhere, snatched the silver from Song Yushu's hand, and pushed the eunuch, "Why don't you go and entertain the guests? Don't worry, no one will disturb you~"

The powder on the man's face was a foot thick. Song Yushu tilted his neck back and followed the eunuch into a room.

Whether it was the Nanfeng Restaurant or the brothel, there was a heavy smell of rouge that made people drowsy. Song Yushu lifted the door curtain and sat opposite the eunuch.

After pouring a cup of tea for Song Yushu, the turtle slave sat quietly opposite Song Yushu.

Song Yushu glanced at his clenched hands, veins bulging, and smiled, "I really just want to ask you something. I see that even though you were beaten, you didn't say you wanted to escape from this Nanfeng Restaurant, and the supervision here is not strict..."

"I grew up in Yuzhu Pavilion. Where else can a person of low status go?" The eunuch curled his lips in self-mockery.

A slave cannot leave his registered place at will, and his indentures are in the hands of the innkeeper, so he cannot escape.

"What if I can redeem you? Where do you want to go?" Song Yushu stared at the eunuch without blinking.

The turtle slave raised his head in surprise, "You, what did you say?"

"Answer me."

"have no idea."

"Then let's take down this Yuzhu Pavilion and you will take care of it, how about it?" Song Yushu supported his head and looked at the turtle slave with a half-smile.

"Do you want Yuzhu Pavilion, or something else?" The turtle slave was not confused, just like his delicate face.

"I want an ear." Song Yushu didn't want to beat around the bush. Winning people's hearts was not an easy task, so he decided to combine interests and use it whenever he could.

Song Yushu extended his hand, palm raised towards the turtle slave, "High five if it's a deal."

The turtle slave stared at Song Yushu for a long time, then finally raised his hand and gently high-fived Song Yushu. "Why do you think I can be your ears, sir?"

"Just because you can roll accurately to my feet." Song Yushu shrugged.

The street was so wide that he was still some distance away from the gate of Yuzhu Pavilion. If he hadn't controlled himself, it would have been impossible for it to roll in front of him.

The turtle slave's expression changed immediately. He didn't look at Song Yushu in surprise, but bowed respectfully. "Your Excellency has good eyesight. Please don't blame me. I have no other choice."

"How can you be sure that I can save you?" Song Yushu was a little curious.

"From your movements and posture, it's obvious that you are from the palace, so I can be sure that you saved me." The eunuch told the truth.

The young prostitutes had seen a lot of things, and the eunuchs had been around all kinds of people, so it wasn't surprising that they had such discerning eyes. Song Yushu nodded and played with the white jade teacup. "What's your name?"

"My single name is Liu, my given name is Xia, Green Willow, Summer River."

The two discussed some details, and Liu Xia stood up and walked Song Yushu to the door, "Goodbye, my lord."

Looking at Song Yushu's departing back, Liu Xia's mouth curled up slightly. A eunuch beside him couldn't bear to see Liu Xia accepting customers before he became a prostitute, so he mocked him.

"Oh, Liu Xia has become a gentleman and has started receiving customers!"

Liu Xia ignored the eunuch, thinking to herself, if she wanted to meet the noble's wishes, such a vulgar person would naturally not be acceptable...

Bah! He's panting even after calling him fat! Not getting an answer from Liu Xia, the turtle slave was so angry that he spat several times.

After Song Yushu left Yuzhu Pavilion, he went to the pharmacy and bought some medicinal herbs. After mixing the herbs, he packed up and left.

Before reaching the palace, Song Yushu saw a familiar figure.

Although Song Yushu did not dare to look directly at the prince, she still remembered his features with her peripheral vision.

He was wearing a moon-white gown and was led by someone into a very gorgeously decorated teahouse.

Song Yushu didn't dare to follow him. Instead, he waited for a while before going up to the waiter and giving him a few copper coins. "Waiter, I see it's so lively in the building. Is that...?"

The waiter happily put the copper coins into his pocket and said, "Sir, you may not know that Mr. Zizhu is holding a poetry competition in the building!"

Mr. Zizhu is a famous scholar in Dayan Dynasty and is highly sought after by scholars.

Song Yushu had been a poor student in both of her lives and was not interested in this. She looked at the time and thought it was time for her to go home.

Sure enough, when Lu Zhixing returned to the mansion, he was sitting behind the desk, reading a wordless book.

Someone had carved the book onto thicker paper using thin bamboo, specifically for Lu Zhixing to read.

"I thought you would crawl until dawn before returning home." When Lu Zhixing heard Song Yushu's footsteps, he threw the book in his hand on the table and snorted.

Song Yushu admitted his mistake, "Your Highness, please forgive me. I went to Nanfeng Pavilion during the trip, which is why I came back late."

"..." Lu Zhixing's face was as dark as the bottom of a pot. "What did you say?"

Song Yushu didn't believe Lu Zhixing would be so confident in his own wandering. After all, he was the only one who could heal his eyes, and he was also very suspicious. "I went to Nanfeng Pavilion and struck a deal with a tortoise slave: I help him, and he helps me."

"What's the use of a small Nanfeng Restaurant?" Lu Zhixing frowned and was on the verge of exploding.

Song Yushu pursed his lips and said, "Your Highness, I dare to say that it's time for acupuncture. I will give you acupuncture while I explain it to you."

Of course, treatment was the most important thing. The veins on Lu Zhixing's forehead jumped. "Wash your dirty hands!"

Song Yushu quickly got up and washed his hands several times before coming over to give King Jing acupuncture.

The little liar's skills were indeed good. At least every time he gave acupuncture, Lu Zhixing could feel subtle changes.

Looking at Lu Zhixing's expression, Song Yushu said softly, "Your Highness, please forgive me for being so nosy. Although you have the power of the military, you still lack someone who can protect you from hidden arrows."
