Chapter 6 I Want the Right to Be a Steward

When Song Yushu arrived at the kitchen, he heard laughter and joy inside. Even standing at the door, he could feel the warmth in the room.

But the temperature in Lu Zhixing's study was...

“Snap—”

Song Yushu kicked the door open.

"Who is it! Who is so blind as to dare to say such things to me..." The maids inside started to curse and yell, but when they saw that it was Song Yushu, they were all stunned.

Song Yushu followed Lu Zhixing out of the room in tattered clothes, and the news spread throughout the palace that day.

Then the news came out that the prince had promised Song Yushu the power of steward! Even ascension was not so fast.

"Oh, isn't this the eunuch Song who is as popular as a sparrow flying to the branch?" A maid looked at Song Yushu and smiled with her hand covering her mouth with ill intent.

"A servant's room is warmer than the master's room. Aunt Wan, tell me, why is that?" Song Yushu ignored Aunt Zhang's teasing.

"You, what nonsense are you talking about?!" Nanny Wan snorted. "We just picked up some charcoal that the prince didn't want to burn. Who the hell do you think you are to control us?!"

Nanny Zhang had already made it known to me that she would not be kind to this eunuch!

"The prince said that I'm in charge of the household expenses. Who do you think I am?" Song Yushu glanced at the charcoal basin in the room. "In winter, the palace uses thirty loads of charcoal a day, but the prince only burns two loads in his bedroom. I think I know where the rest of the charcoal goes."

After Song Yushu took the power of housekeeper, she went to see all the major managers. I heard that they all turned her away. How did she know so much?

Seeing that Song Yushu was about to leave after finishing his words, Aunt Wan hurriedly stopped him and asked, "Where are you going?"

"Of course I have to report it to the prince. The 28 dan of charcoal left over every day is worth at least 100 taels a month. This is not a small amount." Song Yushu held the moxibustion needle, pushed Nanny Wan away and pricked her acupoints at the same time.

Nanny Wan, who was twice as big as Song Yushu, looked in disbelief at her hand that was easily pushed away by her.

Nanny Wan, feeling wronged, glanced back at the charcoal brazier in the room and forced a smile. "Hey, Eunuch Song, maybe the maids made a mistake with the charcoal fire. Could you please be flexible?"

The prince would not care about these trivial matters, but Song Yushu is now a favorite of the prince and has been following the prince in and out for the past two days.

Someone even blocked Miss Lin at the door when they saw her!

The agreement with Aunt Zhang is one thing, but what concerns me is another!

Beads of cold sweat began to roll down Nanny Wan's forehead.
