54 Yu Youbai
◎Have you seen enough?◎
Having just blocked most of the people present yesterday, Liang Youwei doesn't dare to look them in the eye when she sees them now. Firstly, she feels that they might have a mental breakdown from time to time and affect her, and secondly, she feels embarrassed.
But her evasive gaze clearly gave everyone a wrong signal.
"Is Liang Youwei shy? She glanced at me just now and then immediately looked away. Her face is also pink, maybe she's blushing?"
It seems that this woman does not have a naturally good complexion. In fact, she is simply blushing from running around and being excited.
When he saw the real owner for the first time, Yu Youbai did not show any expression, only his heartbeat rate was unusual.
...so cute.
...like a rose-flavored little cake.
...I really want to eat her in one bite.
Yu Youbai has lived abroad since he was a child and is used to seeing passionate and lively girls. This is the first time he has seen a girl who can bring this style to the extreme.
It's rare, and I like it very much.
Liang Youwei hated being stared at for a long time. She curled her lips and leaned behind the person next to her, not forgetting to tap his lower back with her hand, meaning that he should drive them away quickly.
Qin Zhen hadn't expected so many people to be here. After a brief frown, his expression remained calm, and he said coldly, "It's not team building, it's an accident. It seems everyone is in a good mood today."
Not really.
Yao Yu supported his chin, seemingly playing with his phone, but actually he was stealing glances at Liang Youwei, thinking - although everyone laughs at you, at critical moments, we still have to refer to your schedule.
But he hadn't expected Liang Youwei to actually hang out with her "ex-boyfriend." The information was correct, but he was terribly annoyed.
Yet, there are still people who send him messages without any eyes.
[Sure, Yao Yu, you said you'd get some meat if you followed Qin Zhen, and it turns out there's meat.]
[Mr. Yao is awesome, worthy of being Miss Yao's cousin!]
If you can't hook up with Liang Youwei, Mr. Yao, please introduce Miss Yao to me. I can handle shift work, any day of the week. If Miss Yao doesn't want to lie down, 4i can be barely acceptable.
Yao Yu wanted to hit someone, he was very angry: [Yao Yao is a rude girl who only likes southern barbarians, get out of here]
After everyone had enough of Yao Yu, they turned their attention to Si Yanle.
Yao Yu was so proud and humble at first, and Si Yanle was not much better. He used his "cousin" status to show off openly and secretly. Who was he trying to disgust?
So, someone took the initiative to speak directly, in a mocking tone.
"It's Chinese New Year, so of course I'm in a good mood. But then again—Si Yanle, aren't you Liang Youwei's cousin? Why haven't you asked her out yet? Your ex-boyfriend can do it, but you can't."
When Liang Youwei heard the three words "Si Yanle", she covered her neck reflexively and secretly cursed them for looking for trouble.
The person concerned looked at it coldly: "It's not like she's related to me, she doesn't have to listen to me."
"China should be very particular about ethics and morals, right?"
Yu Youbai stood up and joined in the conversation. He was talking to Si Yanle, but his eyes were fixed on Liang Youwei without blinking, looking at the golden hair on her temples shining in the sunlight, and her white and tender neck with a faint pink hue.
"Can an adult cousin casually ask a cousin out here?" he asked himself, answering, "Not really."
The more Liang Youwei listened, the more she felt something was wrong. She got goose bumps all over her body. Thinking about the hidden meaning behind the words, she looked over unfriendlyly: "My brother and I are having a quarrel. It's none of your business. What do you mean by saying this?"
No matter what happened between her and Si Yanle in private, publicly, they had been cousins for over twenty years. When they were out in public, they represented both the Liang and Si families. Liang Youwei knew this very well; there couldn't be any ulterior motives in this matter. Otherwise, what would happen if word got out?
Yu Youbai raised his eyebrows.
Her voice is also pleasant, whether it is curious or dissatisfied.
Despite being accused, he smiled beautifully and spoke clearly, "Ms. Liang, I'm sorry. My Chinese isn't very good, so I don't quite understand the context and meaning. I apologize if I've offended you."
Liang Youwei was stunned, and then she became furious.
No, what on earth is this guy pretending to be? Liang Youwei didn't want to criticize him because he was so handsome. But his Mandarin couldn't be more standard, and he even said Chinese was bad. Did he treat everyone as fools?
In a fit of rage, she stuffed the big bear doll into the arms of the person behind her and tried to move forward.
Qin Zhen had already reacted. Seeing that her breathing was off, he subconsciously pressed the girl's shoulders and took the big bear with his other hand: "Weiwei."
After being reminded, Liang Youwei stopped and took a few deep breaths. She bit her upper lip lightly, her expression of uneasiness obvious.
Qin Zhen has always supported himself in letting his temper go, but his current reaction just shows that this nerve has some background and cannot be treated casually.
Her brows furrowed more and more.
Seeing that she was unhappy, everyone present was ready to say something, but Yu Youbai's smile deepened, becoming a little malicious.
She is beautiful even when she is angry.
"Youwei, don't bother with Yabai. He's half foreigner and used to hanging around out there. That's why he speaks so carelessly."
Zhang Yingheng tried to smooth things over, putting his arm around Yu Youbai's shoulders and explaining: He was known in the industry for his good temper, his measured approach, and the widest network of contacts.
Liang Youwei and Zhang had a decent relationship, even better than ordinary cousins. Thinking of his unwavering loyalty to her, Liang Youwei's tone softened: "Brother Ying Heng, he's not from the capital, is he? Why haven't I seen him before?"
The man was about to introduce himself when Yu Youbai slowly opened his mouth and interrupted him: "I'm not from the capital, Miss Liang."
Liang Youwei turned her eyes and shifted her gaze from Zhang Yingheng to him.
Yu Youbai finally felt somewhat satisfied. He took a few steps forward and said, "My father is Yu Zui from Shanghai, and my mother is Princess Helga of Sweden. It's a pleasure to meet you."
The smile on the corner of his mouth instantly became polite and decent. Yu Youbai took the initiative to take a few steps forward and extended his hand to her.
It was not until this person came in front of her that Liang Youwei realized the huge difference in their body sizes.
Yu Youbai was more than a head taller than him, at least 1.9 meters tall, his broad shoulders and narrow waist accentuated by his jacket. As he approached, his shadow followed, a sense of oppression.
Liang Youwei subconsciously took two steps back.
...too tall. She was afraid and didn't dare to shake his hand.
But he didn't wait for her response. He bent down and took her hand, squeezing it gently. Then, as she shuddered, the corners of his lips curled slightly, and he gently lowered it, saying the unfinished words.
"Ms. Liang Youwei."
Qin Zhen frowned and protected the silent girl behind him: "Yu Youbai, what's wrong with you again?"
The gentleman opposite said, "Qin Zhen, I don't understand what you mean. Isn't shaking hands and greeting each other a normal social activity? What right do you have to accuse me?"
The unfamiliar smell of ice and snow still lingered in Liang Youwei's nose, and her palms tightened involuntarily. She suddenly grasped the corner of Qin Zhen's clothes, stopping him from saying the next sentence: "I don't want to eat the cake anymore. Qin Zhen, I want to go skiing directly."
Qin Zhen's cold eyes swept over Yu Youbai, and he said in a flat tone, moving sideways to block everyone's gaze: "Okay."
Yu Youbai didn't seem to notice anything strange. He turned and looked at Zhang Yingheng: "Yingheng, this is my first time at the Imperial Capital Ski Resort. Won't you show me the way?" He smiled as if thinking of something: "But my skiing skills are average. I'll just go to the blue trail."
A Nordic guy says he's an average skier? Who would believe it?
Si Yanle could hardly suppress his angry heart.
Yao Yu's face had already turned black.
Bitch.
At the same time, they cursed in their hearts.
·
Liang Youwei actually has no interest in skiing. Most of the time, she doesn't like sports, nor does she like the feeling of being sweaty. The reason she came to the appointment today was mainly to see Qin Zhen, and skiing was secondary.
Qin Zhen looked very cool in his windbreaker and goggles. He was dressed in black from head to toe, revealing only his glowing white skin on the side of his face, and his lips and nose tip that had been blown into a rose-red color by the cold wind.
Liang Youwei really likes this strong color contrast and "uniform temptation", which does not discriminate between people. After all, to some extent, a well-shaped windbreaker can also be considered a uniform.
Therefore, when Yu Youbai, who had a more superior and upright figure, gray hair, white skin and blue eyes, appeared in front of her, her eyes also wavered.
Is there a gray hair gene in Nordic royal families? Aren't they all blonde and blue-eyed?
Liang Youwei brushed aside the hair that was blown to her lips by the wind, and her eyes unconsciously followed the light gray.
"Still watching."
A cold voice reached her eardrums, and Liang Youwei was startled. She looked over sideways, her face full of confusion: "I don't think he has anything to do with you."
Yao Yu is also quite free.
Liang Youwei didn't know if it was her own illusion, but she always felt that Yao Yu's words were sinister: "You came out with that mad dog Qin Zhen, and you dared to look at other men. Liang Youwei, you are really brave."
"Are you sick?" Liang Youwei didn't bother to be polite with him and rolled her eyes. "Let's not talk about the fact that Qin Zhen and I have broken up. Even if we hadn't, I could still look at other people. My boyfriend isn't my eyes. It's like having him means I've lost control of my eyes. And—don't belittle Qin Zhen in front of me. He's a good guy."
Liking someone doesn’t mean you have to agree with that person in everything.
Anyway, Qin Zhen is not around at the moment, so Liang Youwei can speak her mind freely. When he comes back, her answer will naturally change.
Yao Yu gritted his teeth: "The appointment you mentioned yesterday was with Qin Zhen?"
Liang Youwei nodded and continued to look for the tall figure, saying, "Hmm."
Who else could I talk to? You? Don't be ridiculous.
"But didn't you break up?"
After a long pause, Yao Yu finally managed to utter these words, finally letting go of all his shame. He clenched his fists like a young boy, appearing innocent and naive, yet who knew that the people around him didn't pay him any attention at all.
Liang Youwei is too quiet now because she is completely immersed in the art of skiing.
Liang Youwei felt her heart beating faster. She hadn't expected Yu Youbai's skiing skills to be so good, and he could do all sorts of difficult moves with ease. His waist was so thin, but his back was so straight, he looked very powerful...
"Have you seen enough?"
Hearing this, she thought it was still Yao Yu, and waved her hands impatiently: "It's not done yet, is it? You're so annoying, leave me alone."
The next second, his hand was suddenly grabbed.
Liang Youwei's body stiffened.
How could Yao Yu have the guts to touch her? A huge sense of absurdity hit her, and she immediately widened her eyes and looked over in disbelief.
Then, he met Qin Zhen's calm amber eyes.
Oh.
Liang Youwei swallowed.
It seems, seemingly, it should be a bit finished.
【Author’s words】
I went to see a movie a few days ago as a reward for my hard work studying for an exam, but it felt like a complete waste of 90 minutes. The plot of "Sauce Garden" was so confusing. Aside from the actors' acting and some of the camera language, everything else felt inexplicably strange. It left me feeling incredibly uncomfortable, and I kept wanting to escape the theater. Maybe it's because it's too clichéd. I can't recommend it... (homonym)
