"There's no such thing as a free lunch. Mr. Cen, you better think this through."

Cen Wan opened the dialog box with Shen Yixiao, her fingertips paused slightly, she hesitated for a few seconds, and finally sent the message.

[Senior, when are you free? Can you come to the studio? ]

She thought back to what he said that day. It meant that he agreed, but she would have to pay a price.

At worst, I can just treat him to two meals.

Because whether it is Shen Yixiao's hands, face, or even figure, they all fully meet the requirements of aesthetics and there is not a single flaw to be found, which is really attractive to her.

Even though she knew he was not easy to get along with and his temper was unpredictable, she still couldn't help herself.

It's just a painting. Could the worst-case scenario be that he eats her?

She stared down at her phone. After a few seconds, the phone vibrated and a message popped up.

X: [What are you doing here?]

Cen Wan frowned. Forgot?

I don’t know: [I mentioned it to you last time. I want you to be my model for once, just to draw a hand.]

X: What are the benefits?

Cen Wan was silent for two seconds.

Don't know: [Would you like to have dinner?]

X: [Okay]

Cen Wan breathed a sigh of relief and sent him the address of a studio. Before she could put away her phone, the other party's message came in.

X: [I’m too lazy to look for you, come pick me up]

I also sent him his location.

Cen Wan: "..."

What a boss.

She clicked on the location map and took a look. He was on the other side of the south gate, not far from the studio. She stood up, put away her brushes and drawing board, closed the door ajar, and went to pick him up.

The weather in early spring has lost its chill, the clouds are sparse, and some bright colors are beginning to emerge in the bleak grayness.

Cen Wan walked along the path by the lake and arrived at the south gate. She took out her cell phone to compare and found that this was the place.

There were not many people at the door at this time. She looked around but didn't see anyone. She lowered her head and was about to send him a message to ask him. She had only typed half of the words when she suddenly heard a chuckle behind her.

"Have your eyes grown on the ground?"

She was startled, holding the phone tightly and turned around. Shen Yixiao was standing behind her, wearing a black windbreaker, looking at her with a smile.

Cen Wan calmed herself down and asked, "Where did you come from?"

Chen Yixiao raised his eyebrows slightly: "I've been waiting for you there for a long time and you didn't see me. You asked me where I came from?"

Cen Wan's eyelashes trembled slightly. She paused and softened her tone: "I just looked, but I didn't see you."

Shen Yixiao stared at her with interest, watching the anger and questioning in her eyes after being frightened by him slowly turn into guilt.

He twisted his fingertips slightly and chuckled: "Why, my presence is so low?"

Cen Wan: Who has a stronger presence than you? You're like a creditor.

But he opened his mouth and said, “No, I didn’t see it just now.”

"Oh, I didn't see it." Shen Yixiao stretched out his tone and moved closer. "Do you see it now?"

He suddenly approached, and Cen Wan subconsciously leaned back. Meeting his dark eyes, she blinked: "I'm not blind."

Shen Yixiao shrugged, took a step back, and increased the distance between them: "That's fine."

Cen Wan was concerned with important matters: "Then let's go back to the studio first."

She took him back the same way. The benches by the lake were full of people, and flocks of pigeons flew up from the sculpture in the center of the lake, making a fluttering sound.

Cen Wan walked a distance, then stopped and looked back at the person behind her.

Shen Yixiao put his hands in his pockets and walked slowly, looking around from time to time, as if he was taking a stroll.

She took a deep breath, wanted to say something but held it back, and stood there waiting for him.

After he caught up, Cen Wan continued to move forward.

Shen Yixiao did not miss the expression on her face, although it was very subtle, he still caught it.

The corners of his lips curled up in an almost imperceptible arc, but his steps were still slow, and he stopped from time to time to appreciate the scenery along the way.

It was clearly a journey of less than ten minutes, but Shen Yixiao dragged it to twenty minutes.

When they arrived at the studio, Cen Wan opened the door and let him go in front: "Senior, please come in."

Shen Yixiao took a long step and walked in as if it were his own home, slowly admiring the works on the side as he walked.

Cen Wan poured a glass of warm water into a disposable cup and pulled out a stool on the stage. "Excuse me, Senior, please sit here for a while."

Shen Yixiao glanced at her, then raised his eyes and asked her, "Where are you painting?"

Cen Wan pointed to a place nearby.

Shen Yixiao glanced at her, raised his eyes slightly, walked to her seat with long legs, pulled out a chair and sat down.

"Can you see clearly from that far away? I'm sitting right here."

Cen Wan: "..."

“But that’s my classmate’s seat.”

Hearing this, Shen Yixiao stood up and sat in Cen Wan's seat: "Then you two should switch first."

Cen Wan: "..."

Shen Yixiao raised his eyelids and looked at her: "Why, do you want me to sit on the stage like a monkey and let you watch me?"

Cen Wan pursed her lips and said, "You can sit wherever you want."

If he didn't have a good appearance...

But after all, she was the one who needed help.

She took her drawing board and paintbrush, sat in the adjacent seat, and started painting after asking Shen Yixiao to pose.

She was so focused when she was painting that the rustling sound of the brush on the paper could be heard in the studio.

It was rare for Shen Yixiao to not do anything weird. He placed one hand properly as she requested, and with the other hand loosely supported on the armrest, he looked down at her.

The temperature in the studio was just right. She took off her coat and wore an apricot-colored crocheted top with a skirt of the same color.

She lowered her eyebrows, glanced at Shen Yixiao's hands from time to time, and then continued to sketch on the paper with smooth movements.

Her long light chestnut hair was slightly curled and draped over her shoulders, and her camellia-shaped pearl earrings swayed slightly with her movements.

Shen Yixiao's eyes swept across her beautiful eyebrows and fair and delicate cheeks, and fell on the pearl earrings that were swaying slightly.

Smooth, small and exquisite.

His Adam's apple rolled up and down, and he restrained himself and looked away.

Outside the window, the sun is shining brightly, and on the windowsill there are several pots of flowers and plants whose names I don’t know.

Shen Yixiao glanced at it and then looked away, it was boring.

He looked up at her again, and seeing that she was almost done, he said softly, "Which hand are you drawing?"

"Hmm?" Cen Wan didn't hear clearly and looked up at him, her clear eyes filled with confusion. "What did you just say?"

Chen Yixiao looked into her clear and moist eyes, his brows slightly raised: "I said, how long are you going to see?"

Cen Wan lowered her head and finished the last few strokes: "Alright."

Shen Yixiao flexed his wrist and said lazily, "Give me this painting?"

"Ah, no." Cen Wan refused immediately. She had to hand in her homework. "If you want, I can draw a new one for you."

She raised her eyes and met Shen Yixiao's meaningful gaze. His tone was extremely confusing: "This is my first time, are you going to keep it for yourself?"

Cen Wan widened her eyes. What nonsense was he talking about?

"I just need to turn in my homework."

Shen Yixiao snorted unhappily: "Didn't you ask me to frame it and hang it on the wall last time?"

Cen Wan vaguely remembered that she had said that, and she tried to negotiate with him: "Then should I draw another one?"

Shen Yixiao leaned back in his chair with a lack of interest: "I'm hungry."

Cen Wan glanced at the time. It was past eleven o'clock. "Then I'll treat you to lunch as a thank you for today."

"What do you want to eat?"

Shen Yixiao tapped his fingers on the armrest, paused for two seconds, and replied lazily, "The cafeteria."
