Song Yu had never confessed her love to anyone in her life, but even if she hadn't eaten pork, she had seen pigs run. She knew that confessing one's love required preparing surprises and flowers, but she felt that those confessions were too ordinary and unoriginal. For this reason, she tried to find other people's confession plans on the Internet to get some inspiration from them.

But it was either too unoriginal or too original. She picked and chose for a long time but still couldn't figure out how to do it.

It is summer vacation now, and Lan Lin is running to Song Yu's house almost all day long. Her channel recently opened a life VLOG column, but she thinks her life is too boring, so she comes to Song Yu to provide her with more material.

Before Lan Lin came over, Song Yu didn’t think it was a big deal. After all, she was alone at home with nothing to do, and having one more person could make them play together. But recently, Song Yu began to feel a little inconvenient.

Lan Lin basically stayed at her house during the day, and sometimes even stayed until night. She lived with her parents, so of course she preferred the free and unrestrained Song Yu's home. Coming there frequently meant that Song Yu had almost no personal time of her own.

[Xu Qiao: Has Lan Lin left?]

[Song Yu: No.]

This was the third time Xu Qiao had asked that question today. These two short words made it clear how sad Song Yu felt. She glanced at Lan Lin, who was lying lazily on the sofa, and said, "..."

She stood up, walked to the door, took out the key to open it, and the moment she was about to step out, a head popped up from the other side of the sofa, "Where are you going?"

"I'm going to the supermarket." Song Yu didn't even blink. "Do you want to take anything with you?"

Lan Lin lay back down with a disinterested look on his face. "Then bring me a bag of potato chips."

She nodded calmly, and then, fearing that Lan Lin would call her back again, she dodged as fast as she could. The moment the door closed, Song Yu spread her legs and started running.

The journey was not particularly long, but she was out of breath and felt that time was very long in her mind.

When she called Xu Qiao, she lowered her head and whispered, like an underground intelligence team, "Hello?"

"Hello?" The phone was picked up, and Xu Qiao's voice was very clear on the other end of the phone. "Has Lan Lin left?"

"No." Song Yu said directly and frankly with a smile in his voice, "I'm downstairs from your house now."

Xu Qiao held up his phone and glanced out the window. Sure enough, he saw someone wearing slippers and a thin long sweater standing across from his house. His long black hair was draped over his shoulders, and his expression was a little blurry, but he looked like he was smiling. He immediately put down his phone, grabbed his keys, and went out.

After Song Yu got through the call, he didn't hear what Xu Qiao said on the phone. He only knew that the microphone on his end suddenly began to transmit heavy breathing sounds accompanied by some heavy footsteps.

Her lips curled up slightly, and Xu Qiao appeared downstairs in no time, with a look of surprise on his face, "Why are you here so suddenly? Isn't Lan Lin still at your house?"

"What?" Song Yu asked knowingly, "Are you unhappy that I'm here?"

Xu Qiao's heart skipped a beat, and he immediately denied it, "No."

Song Yu nodded calmly on the surface, but he was actually so nervous that he was about to explode. He ran here in such a hurry, but when he really arrived, he seemed unable to say anything and even seemed to have forgotten the purpose of coming here.

"Lan Lin is going on a trip in a few days." Song Yu looked up at Xu Qiao, then said with a hint of hesitation and shyness, "She will probably have to wait until school starts before coming to visit me."

Xu Qiao's fingers trembled, "You mean..."

"In the future, if you have time, remember to come to my house often." After Song Yu finished speaking, he quickly said that he had to go to the supermarket, turned around and ran away.

“…”

Xu Qiao stood there, watching Song Yu's back as she ran away. He couldn't help but laugh out loud at her. He smiled, shook his head, and went upstairs back to his home.

-

"Classmate, the teacher is looking for you." During the ten-minute break, the girl stood tall on a chair brought from the last row, her silky hair neatly tied behind her head. She looked at the blackboard newspaper in front of her with great concentration, which was almost completed. In her hand was a pink chalk, which she tapped on the blackboard one stroke at a time, making a crisp sound, and her chalk writing was very smooth and beautiful.

She lowered her head and nodded to the girl who was standing next to the chair and talking, indicating that she understood, and turned around to write a few more strokes.

But the girl quickly stopped him, "The teacher seems a little anxious, you should go over now."

Yaya was walking alone in the corridor outside the classroom. Four or five boys were lying beside her, laughing and cursing, their eyes scanning her unscrupulously.

"Look, that's the mute kid from the next class. Things are getting better these days. Mute kids can go to regular schools now. They don't even have to attend morning reading classes since they can't speak anyway."

As soon as the words fell, several people burst into laughter and rolled over in a ball, almost unable to straighten their backs. They ran and fought in the corridor while laughing, and people who happened to be walking were unable to avoid them and were bumped into by them.

Yaya subconsciously pushed the man with her backhand, and he fell hard to the ground. It seemed that his butt was in great pain. He sat on the ground for a long time without getting up, twisting and turning like a disgusting loach.

This incident made the boy lose face. After recovering from the shock, he stood up with a fierce look on his face and wanted to hit someone, but was stopped by others. Someone reported it to the teacher, who arrived at the scene a short while later.

When Yaya saw the teacher coming, she stood up and looked. She had not forgotten that she was going to find the teacher.

"What's going on?" the teacher frowned and glanced around.

The boy, holding his butt which had not yet recovered from the shock, pointed at Ya Ya and said indignantly, "Teacher, she pushed me."

The expression on Yaya's face changed suddenly, and he gestured quickly with his hands, "I don't have it."

The teacher looked at her fingering movements and shook her head helplessly, "I don't understand." She turned around and waved at the boy with a frown, "Okay, it's no big deal if you just got pushed."

Then he looked at Yaya and said, "Come to the office first."

"You have family coming to see you."

Yaya immediately turned around and went back to the classroom.

As if he had anticipated her reaction, the teacher watched her return to the classroom without saying a word.

Yaya returned to the classroom, stood on the chair and picked up the chalk again. The lines and handwriting were crooked, and she erased and wrote again.

This went on for about five minutes. Suddenly, there was a noise outside the door. A sharp and piercing voice was calling her name loudly, "Chen Jiou, Yaya, where are you? Your dad came to see you and missed you, but you didn't even see him. How could you be so unfilial? You haven't been home for several months. Why don't you come back during the summer vacation? Do you think you don't have this family anymore?"

The teacher standing by couldn't bear to watch and her voice of persuasion was quickly drowned out. "Dear parents, the school hasn't closed yet."

The woman turned around and pointed at the teacher. "Don't say so much. Which class is my child in? Hurry and call her out. She's mute, not deaf. How come she didn't come out even after I called her for so long? Did your teacher instigate her to disown her parents? What exactly does your teacher teach her?"

The teacher was also anxious, "You can't say that, parent."

"So where are our children?"

"Auntie, she is in the last classroom." The boy who was pushed to the ground pointed to the last classroom.

The teacher gave him a warning look, and the boy felt guilty and ran away quickly.

There were a few students taking a break at the classroom door. Seeing that something was wrong, they immediately turned around and ran to Yaya, grabbing her arm with an anxious look on their faces. "Hurry, hurry up, your parents are coming this way."

However, it was too late. When Yaya was getting down from the chair, the back door of the classroom was pushed open forcefully.

As soon as Yaya looked up, she met a pair of slanted eyes, which were full of calculation. When they saw her, their eyes lit up. Before she could react, Aunt Li held her hand first. Her hand was very cold, but Aunt Li didn't seem to think there was anything wrong.

She looked Yaya up and down, her hand shaking as she held hers, her eyes full of eagerness, "Yaya, I finally get to see you. Come on, show your dad. He kept saying how much he missed you at home, and now he finally gets to see you."

Aunt Li took a step aside to reveal the short man behind her who had not spoken since the beginning. His skin was dark yellow from the sun, his face was full of wrinkles, and his eyes were covered with a layer of yellow earth, making him look turbid and old. But he looked at Ya Ya and did not speak for a long time.

There were classmates gathered around watching the fun, and the teacher took a few of them to the office to have a good chat.

Seeing the man hesitate to speak, Aunt Li glared at him sternly, then put on a friendly smile and took out a box from her bag. Inside was a greasy dish. "Yaya, you must not have eaten well at school. This pickled cabbage and pork is made with fresh meat I bought this morning. It's delicious. I brought it all the way here for you. I wanted to make you some bone soup, but the soup spilled easily. Come on, try it."

No one reached out to take it, and no one spoke.

Aunt Li put the box on the table with a look of rage on her face. A hint of viciousness flashed across her eyes. She pulled out her sleeve to wipe away her nonexistent tears. "You've always blamed me in your heart, girl. I know all this, but you can't just ignore your father."

"You used to go to Song Yu's place every summer vacation, but you have a family and parents, so don't go this summer." Aunt Li paused and continued, "Besides, Song Yu can only control you for a while, but can she control you forever? After she gets married and has her husband to take care of her, she will definitely not care about you anymore. What do you think you will do then?"

"Besides, Song Yu is still so young, how can she bring a burden with her?" Aunt Li noticed Ya Ya looking at her just after she finished speaking, so she immediately added, "Of course not necessarily. Song Yu likes you so much, but no matter how much he likes you, it's not as much as your family likes you."

"Your teacher just said that the holiday will start in a few days. When you come back, you can sleep in our room. I will cook whatever you want to eat." After saying that, she stepped hard on the instep of the short man next to her, signaling him to express his opinion quickly.

Only then did the man speak, "Yes, don't go this summer vacation. Come home. What's the point of always staying in someone else's house? You are my daughter, not Song Yu's."

"If you want to go to college, it would be best if it's in our city so that it will be more convenient for you to come back."

There was no fluctuation in Yaya's eyes. Her gaze moved across the two people's equally eager faces, and her fingers flew up and down in sign language.

The two people in front of her immediately showed an embarrassment. The man looked even more embarrassed and impatient, as if he had just remembered that his excellent daughter was mute when she moved her fingers. "Writing, we can't understand sign language. I sent you to school so that you could learn to write."

But Yaya didn't listen and continued to sign calmly.

"I told you to stop signing, don't you understand?" The man's face showed anger, he felt like he was being made fun of.

Yaya looked at him, then stopped and took out a pen and paper and quickly wrote a few words.

Then please pay my tuition fees. I want to go to university in another province.
