The crow is coming

The crow is coming

When picking someone up at the station, Song Yu was very happy. He pulled Ya Ya around for several times to make sure she was okay. Her face looked a little sharper than when she left before. Her fair and narrow face was blocked by the wide brim of the baseball cap, and her eyes were filled with unconcealable joy.

"How is it?" Song Yu asked her, "Are you tired of the car ride?"

She shook her head. 'It's pretty close.'

It was already noon. Song Yu picked up the person and went directly to the restaurant that had been booked in advance with his luggage.

During the meal, Yaya always looked like he had something to say to her. He often stopped to look at her but was slow to express himself.

Song Yu felt it was a bit strange. Perhaps because she couldn't speak, Yaya was always decisive in her actions. Even if she needed help from Song Yu, she would usually express it directly. It was rare to see her hesitate like this.

She picked up a piece of fried shrimp with chopsticks and put it into the bowl of the person opposite her. She smiled and said, "What's wrong? You looked up at me five times while eating a mouthful of rice."

As expected, Yaya hesitated for a moment and put down his chopsticks, "A few days ago, when the holiday was about to start, they came to see me."

Who this 'they' were was, of course, self-evident. Song Yu's face darkened as he put down his chopsticks. "Why did I look for you? And then?"

"They wanted me to go to their place during the summer vacation, saying that they wouldn't be able to take care of me after I got married, so they wanted me to go to a university in this city."

Song Yu sneered, "Going back to their place during the summer vacation? Wishful thinking."

"So what do you think?" Song Yu knew Yaya very well. She would never agree, but her hesitation at this moment showed that this was not what she wanted to say.

"Isn't my school your target school? My school is in this city, and I can take care of you here." Song Yu was very satisfied that Yaya's target school was her school, and she hoped that the two of them could be together.

"I want to go to university in another province."

The table was quiet for a moment. Song Yu put down his chopsticks and picked them up again. He picked up a piece of food with chopsticks and chewed it slowly. "Why did you suddenly change your mind?"

"Have you... decided?"

Crow looked at her, 'Will you support me?'

Song Yu smiled at her and said, "If I don't support you, can I still force you to stay by my side and secretly change it for you when filling out the application?"

A relaxed smile finally appeared on Ya Ya's face, "You won't do that."

This was a meal they hadn't had in a long time. The two of them enjoyed the meal very much and chatted for a long time in their own ways.

After finishing her meal, Song Yu went to the bathroom. She looked at the mirror in front of her that was illuminated by the ceiling light, but the expression in it was not as happy as she had imagined. Her brows were slightly furrowed and her lips were slightly pursed, and she looked worried.

It turned out that she was just chatting with Yaya with this ugly expression. Song Yu took a deep breath and exhaled slowly with his chest rising and falling, trying to relieve the boredom in his heart.

She supported Yaya's decision to go to college away from home. Children grow up and have their own ideas, but she couldn't stop worrying. She was afraid that Yaya would not be able to adapt if she went out alone, and what if she would be bullied by others because she couldn't speak.

She stood in the bathroom, looking at the mirror, her mind racing. On one hand, she told her to respect Yaya's choice, that while she could protect her temporarily, she couldn't protect her forever, and that it was time for her to go out and see the world on her own. On the other hand, she also told her that she could still see the world by her side, and that this would reduce the risk of any possible harm.

She stayed in the bathroom torn between her conscience and her desires for a long time, until the waiter in the restaurant saw that she had stayed in the bathroom too long and knocked on the door twice, and then she reacted.

After Song Yu came out, he paid the bill and walked out of the restaurant with Yaya.

"Have you chosen your target university in another province?" Song Yu asked, tilting his head.

Ya Ya shook his head, "It was a bit sudden, I didn't have time to see it."

Song Yu nodded and pretended to be casual. "Then when you have made your choice, I will go there with you to live for a few days to see if you can adapt to the life there. It can also be regarded as a reference. If you have not made your choice, then we can go to each place for a few days. You just need to choose the place you like best to go to college."

She pondered for a moment, "I'll be studying there for several years. I'll graduate next year, and after you finish the college entrance exam, I can go to the city where your university is located to find a job, so that we can be together."

After saying that, she took out her phone and opened the flight booking app, "Or maybe we should go to this place first... maybe this place is also good..."

But a hand reached out first and covered the glowing screen of her mobile phone.

Song Yu looked up in surprise, then smiled and said, "What's wrong?"

Tears welled up in Yaya's eyes, and with a slight tremor, they fell down. "Do I have to worry about you even if I go to college? Just find a job in the city you like, and don't worry about me. Why should I bother you? Do I have to drag you down for another four years?"

Song Yu hurriedly bent down to wipe her tears, "What's wrong? I'm fine, I'm willing to do this."

"But I am a burden. Anyone who is tied to me will be dragged to death."

"I can never get rid of our family." Yaya cried and signed with her hands, "Song Yu, please give up on me."

"Who told you these things? Who said you were a burden?" Song Yu hugged her tightly, his eyes instantly reddened. "I never felt that way. Whoever told you that? I'll scold her to death."

"How can you be a burden?" Song Yu said distressedly, "You are my sister."

"Don't think about yourself like that. I will never give up on you." Song Yu pulled her out of his arms and let her look up into his eyes. "I won't give up on you, so don't give up on yourself easily. Do you understand?"

With tears on her face, Yaya looked up at Song Yu and said, "I feel so guilty. I'm sorry. Why can't I speak?"

Song Yu's eyes were sore. "It's not your fault. It's not your fault. You've done very well. It doesn't matter if you can't speak. Some people can speak but they are not human beings. Those people should be ashamed."

"What you have to do is to make these people feel even more ashamed after seeing you, because no matter what they do then, they can't compare to you." Song Yu held her shoulders and held her in his arms.

Song Yu reached in and touched Yaya's face, which was still covered with tears. The mute couldn't even make a sound to cry, and could only scream in sadness. Song Yu wiped her eyes fiercely, and her throat felt sore. Of course she knew who said these words. She took note of them in her heart and would go back and settle the score with them one by one.

They stood there quietly holding each other for a while, and then Yaya calmed down and stepped out of Song Yu's arms. Her eyes were red and swollen, and she didn't dare to look up at Song Yu.

Song Yu knew she was embarrassed, so he didn't say anything to tease her. He handed her a tissue to wipe her tears and said, "What those people said is bullshit, you know? You have to be tough, you have to be strong, don't let others become stumbling blocks to your progress. Just remember, I will always stand behind you."

Yaya was still sobbing slightly. Upon hearing this, she looked up at her and asked, "Will you really stand behind me forever?"

"I do, and I always do."

As soon as she finished speaking, Yaya took a step forward and hugged Song Yu again.

"Okay, okay, don't worry about college. If you feel you can handle being alone by then, then I won't go. But when you go, remember to video call me often, okay?"

"If there is anything, tell me immediately. If there is anything that cannot be solved, tell me, okay?"

Yaya nodded repeatedly, but still couldn't help interrupting Song Yu's mumbling, "I won't graduate until next year, it's still early."

"These things need to be explained to you clearly as early as possible, so that you won't forget them later."

The two of them talked as they walked along the way, and the emotions that were stirring in their hearts seemed to settle quietly along with the evening breeze.

When she arrived at the door of her house, Yaya put down the bag she was carrying and looked around the empty room.

A little yellow kitten came over to her feet, meowing and rubbing against her trouser leg. Yaya's face lit up with joy. She bent down and picked her up, then looked around the room.

Song Yu was standing by the table drinking water. Seeing her, he felt very strange and asked her, "What are you looking at?"

"Teacher Xu Qiao, doesn't he live here?" Yaya's face was full of confusion.

Song Yu immediately choked on the water he had just taken, "Cough cough cough... What are you talking about? Why is he living here with me?"

Ya Ya turned her head, her black and white eyes full of clarity, "Aren't you two together?"

Song Yu swore she had never told Ya Ya. She asked in disbelief, "How did you know?"

Yaya took out her cell phone with an innocent look on her face, not even bothering to use sign language. It was their chat box, and then Song Yu saw the high-frequency word "Xu Qiao" appearing repeatedly in the white bubble, as if the screen was flooded with messages.

"......" Seeing this, Song Yu simply laid down on the sofa and groaned, "We're not together yet. I'm still thinking about how to confess my feelings to him."

She thought for a moment and turned over to ask Ya Ya, who was packing her luggage next to her, "Have you ever seen anyone confess their love?"

Yaya nodded calmly, "I lit a circle of candles, but before anyone else arrived, the dean of studies rushed over and extinguished them with a basin of water."

Song Yu tutted his words, "You kids are really playing big nowadays. Lighting candles is so dangerous."

"Then how do you plan to confess your feelings?" Ya Ya asked calmly, "Do you want me to help you?"

This sentence made Song Yu feel awkward again. How could she confess her feelings? She turned over and stared at Yaya. "There are so many people in your school, and this is the only confession you've ever had. Are there any other ones you find romantic?"

Yaya thought for a moment, "A boy pretended to be a girl's father and asked for leave for her, took her out to play and confessed his love." She nodded honestly, "I think it's very romantic."

“…”

Ya Ya turned around with a look of longing, "That's what they all said."

"...In your case, you probably just want to skip school." Song Yu complained expressionlessly.

She raised her hand and glanced at her phone. Xu Qiao was called out to dinner by her classmates today. She was supposed to go pick up Yaya together. Now it was almost 9 o'clock in the evening, and the message bar was quiet.

She put down her phone and was about to say a few more words to Yaya when it dinged. It was a message from Xie Yunchao, "There's something fun to watch, do you want to come?"
