Chapter 65 First Encounter

Chapter 65 First Encounter

Mu Yuan still remembers the first time she met Huo Min.

Dressed in a suit and tie, he is dignified, cold and ruthless.

Her eyes were red, she looked miserable and pitiful, and she was about to die.

But soon he got so angry that he didn't want to die.

Want him to die.

Because he sneered: "Dying will solve the problem? If you want to die, don't die in my building."

Mu Yuan couldn't believe it: "Are you still a human?"

"I should be the one asking you this. Are you still a human being if you come here to jump?"

Mu Yuan didn't expect that she would meet such a malicious person before her death.

The desperate thought of jumping off the building was successfully replaced by anger.

She fell from the top of the concrete flower trough, put her hands on her hips and launched a minute-long verbal attack on Huo Min.

He said nothing, put his right hand in his pocket, raised his eyebrows and watched her rage.

It was as if she were a monkey performing in a circus.

Mu Yuan cursed until his mouth was dry and just stopped.

He sneered, "Are you done scolding me?"

Mu Yuan thought his reaction was strange and was wondering if she had met a well-dressed psychopath.

His next words were, "Okay, tell me, what are you dissatisfied with the Huo family that you have to jump?"

The topic was changed so smoothly.

Mu Yuan was stunned.

Huo Min waved his slender, handsome index finger in front of her eyes: "Are you stupid? Tell me, maybe I can redress your grievances."

Mu Yuan looked suspicious: "Who are you?"

Huo Min smiled nonchalantly: "You've already finished scolding me, and now you remember to ask who I am? Isn't it a little too late?"

"Who are you?"

Facing Mu Yuan's complex expression, he looked like a lunatic.

The gloom between his brows dissipated, and a hint of freshness flashed in his eyes.

"Who owns this building? Why didn't you check before you jumped?"

Mu Yuan's stunned expression gradually froze, considering the man's attire and temperament.

She then remembered the report she had read before coming here for the interview: [Huo Gang passed away due to illness, and Huo Gang's only son Huo Min officially took over the Huo Group]. Her face froze instantly: "You can't be..."

When Huo Min saw her recognition, he showed a familiar expression, and the freshness in his eyes gradually faded away, and was about to turn into normal coldness.

But the next second, she scolded him even more angrily, "You're here just in time! Did you know that your HR department is engaging in insider trading, arbitrarily replacing the accepted plant research intern position? If you allow this corruption to continue, your company will be doomed sooner or later!"

Huo Min stared at her deeply, and Mu Yuan felt uneasy when he looked at her.

He curled his lips, turned around, and said casually: "Let's go."

Seeing him leaving, Mu Yuan was bewildered: "Where are you going?"

Huo Min stopped and turned his head slightly. His cold black eyes became narrower and longer, and his sharp lips raised in a leisurely arc, as if smiling: "Go to court and present the evidence."

It was much later that Mu Yuan realized that he had long disliked the HR director who had abused his power to replace her admission quota with someone else. It was just that he had just taken over the Huo Group, and behind this HR director was a group of old directors who were ready to make moves, dissatisfied with Huo Min, and wanted to get rid of Huo Min to get to the top.

If Huo Min wants to move people, he has to proceed step by step and plan gradually.

However, her "accusation" unintentionally provided Huo Min with an opportunity to attack, accelerating his efforts to wipe out the old directors' forces and completely eliminate them, thus regaining the true leadership of the Huo family.

The second time they met was a month later, two days before New Year's Day.

All the colleagues in the laboratory who needed to take leave had done so, and the rest had no intention of working and went home to rest as soon as the work was over, leaving her alone to work hard on the experiment by lamplight.

At one o'clock in the morning, in front of the dark laboratory building, the snow-white terry loop on the hood of her down jacket wrapped around her slender neck. She put both hands in her pockets to keep warm. The hot air she exhaled formed small white mist in the air, which dissipated with the wind.

She was cold and hungry and was about to ride a shared bike back to her rental house.

I caught a glimpse of a figure out of the corner of my eye.

She glanced sideways.

The bright street lights cast their shadows on his cold and handsome features. His pair of dark eyes, as deep as the desolate moon, looked over at him from a distance. He walked slowly towards them, wearing a full black windbreaker and a dark, crisp suit, which made his figure look even taller and more noble.

Her almond-shaped eyes flickered and then she stood still.

When he was one meter away from her, he stopped.

He lowered his eyes, a casual smile on his lips: "Long time no see, Mu Gong."

The more harshly you scolded someone in the past, the more embarrassed you are now.

She hurriedly lowered her head and said hello, "Hello, Mr. Huo."

My stomach growled at an inopportune moment.

It is especially loud in the quiet of the night.

Mu Yuan froze and raised her eyes nervously, only to see the curve at the corners of his eyes.

"Would you mind having a midnight snack?"

Mu Yuan's lips, which had turned pale, opened and closed due to the coldness.

Huo Min said calmly, "I've been waiting for you all night, and I'm starving."

She swallowed her refusal and asked in confusion: "What do you want to talk to me about?"

And you come here so late at night.

"Talk while you eat."

Mu Yuan couldn't say "no" to the "benefactor" who helped him "vindicate himself", regain his admission quota, and successfully enter the laboratory to work.

Sitting in a high-end western restaurant, Mu Yuan looked around in surprise at the high-end decor of the restaurant, which only had their table of guests. "Is this restaurant open all night?"

Huo Min leaned back, leaning lazily on the stool with his legs crossed. His slim-fitting suit could not cover his explosive body.

Mu Yuan took a glance and quickly moved away.

I have to say that his appearance and figure are both top-notch.

"It's not open normally, but today is an exception."

Mu Yuan was stunned and looked at him: "Um, Mr. Huo, may I ask what brings you to see me tonight?"

He raised his lips slightly, his dark eyes fixed on her: "Something is wrong."

Mu Yuan quickly sat up straight, looking as if he was listening attentively.

Huo Min's smile deepened as he began to test the waters: "My family is pushing me to get married."

Mu Yuan seemed to understand but not quite, but listened attentively.

He changed the subject: "Mu Gong has a boyfriend?"

Mu Yuan was confused when asked: "No."

"Are there any members of the opposite sex you like?"

Mu Yuan was confused and answered honestly: "No."

He looked satisfied: "In that case, I will say it straight out. I hope Mu Gong can marry me."

Mu Yuan was stunned by the sudden proposal: "What did you say?"

He calmly reiterated, "I hope you can fake marry me and help me deal with the pressure from my family to get married."

Mu Yuan reacted awkwardly to what she saw, "Mr. Huo, I'm not suitable. You should find someone else."

Huo Min was not surprised at all and said calmly, "No, you are exactly the right person."

Mu Yuan was puzzled: "Ah? What do you think about me?"

"You don't have a boyfriend, and you don't have any feelings for anyone of the opposite sex."

Mu Yuan's brain froze: "This... can't be considered an appropriate point, right?"

He stared at her, his ink-black eyes revealing obscure emotions.

After a while, he said in a deep voice, "Also, my mother is just like you, she wants to jump off the building."

Mu Yuan was stunned.
