Chapter 9 I'm Not Angry Anymore

Chapter 9 I'm Not Angry Anymore

The servants hurried over with sacks and ropes.

"Young Madam, please don't let go! Wait until I catch the snake's head and it's in the bag, then let go. Don't let it bite you." The servant looked at the snake that was as long as an arm and was terrified.

Looking at their young lady again, she was calm and composed, allowing the snake's tail to wrap around her slender arm.

Then they saw their young master, his face hard and his limbs motionless like machines, holding his breath, as if he was the one catching the snake.

"It doesn't matter if it's bitten, it's just a grass snake." Mu Yuan didn't care. She had seen all kinds of snakes during her field research a few years ago.

But, the words had just fallen.

He was blinded by a cold gaze.

Without raising your eyes, you know who is looking at you.

"Don't say unlucky words." Huo Min said in a deep voice.

Mu Yuan became obedient.

The moment the servant caught the snake's head through the sack, the atmosphere was almost stagnant.

The moment of letting go.

Mu Yuan's arm was pulled back violently, several times faster than her own speed.

She glanced sideways, looking at Huo Min, whose brows were furrowed and looked uneasy.

The skin he gripped was burning intensely hot.

"Oh my God, let me see, are you okay?!" Zhao Keqiong, who was afraid of snakes, dared to run over.

He pushed Huo Min away and nervously picked up Mu Yuan's hand to check it over and over.

Mu Yuan smiled helplessly: "Mom, I'm fine."

Just as he finished speaking, he was suddenly hit on the back of his hand.

Mu Yuan was surprised.

Facing Zhao Keqiong's stern yet loving gaze, he said, "This is just the first time. Next time you see a snake, you are not allowed to catch it. Do you understand?"

It reminded her of the motherly love that seemed from another world.

Somewhere deep down inside me felt soft and collapsed.

She looked bewildered and nodded gently: "I see, thank you, Mom."

Realizing something, she turned her eyes away.

Huo Min stared at her quietly, his brows filled with an emotion she couldn't understand.

Zhao Keqiong saw everything as their eyes met and their emotions intertwined.

She sighed softly and decided to let him go.

Mu Yuan got in the car first and waited.

I didn't hear the conversation between Zhao Keqiong and Huo Min.

Zhao Keqiong held Huo Min and warned him in a low voice, "She loves you very much. I won't let you down."

Huo Min's dark pupils paused slightly as he stared out the window at Mu Yuan, whose silhouette was as pure as morning dew. He murmured as if to himself, "Do you think she loves me?"

Zhao Keqiong reacted strongly: "Were you bitten by a snake? Are you dizzy? She endured humiliation for you, didn't complain about the injustice she suffered, and even risked her life to catch a snake, and you actually question her love?"

Huo Min remained silent.

Zhao Keqiong didn't know, but he knew it very well.

She doesn't love him.

She has someone hidden in her heart, and only reveals it in her dreams.

He listened carefully.

When she was haunted by nightmares, she sobbed and called out the man's name: "Ayao."

Even in her sleep, she felt a sense of brokenness, just as she had felt when he first saw her. What had that man named Ayao done?

Make her so sad.

The disappointment in his eyes disappeared in an instant.

When he raised his eyes again, his cold expression returned to normal.

"We're leaving first."

"Hey..." Zhao Keqiong wanted to say something, but Huo Minyi had already turned around and walked straight towards the car.

In the car.

Mu Yuan glanced at him quietly.

The fact that he forced his agent to apologize was beyond her imagination.

Unexpectedly, instead of blaming herself, he actually stood on her side.

Don Nana will definitely not give up.

Will she make trouble for him?

"Is there something on my face?" He turned his eyes sideways.

Got caught peeking.

Mu Yuan smiled awkwardly: "No..."

"Mu Yuan."

Every time he called her full name, Mu Yuan's heart felt like a string was plucked and trembled.

His profile was neat and steady, and he pursed his lips with a noble and cold expression: "If you are still angry, I will ask her to come over and apologize to you now. I will give you an explanation for this matter."

Mu Yuan was stunned, and the snow in her heart melted: "I'm not angry anymore."

The light was red.

He seemed to want to verify it, and his narrow and long phoenix eyes cast a serious look at him.

In the narrow car, his gaze became more and more like the scorching sun at noon, scorching wherever he looked.

"If you encounter this kind of thing again, you can tell me and I will handle it."

The heart beats faster and you may experience dry mouth.

Mu Yuan swallowed again and again: "Why are you willing to help me?" Why are you willing to side with her.

"We are married, if I don't help you, who will I help?"

His gaze was too scorching.

Mu Yuan lowered her eyelashes in averted gaze, fearing that if she continued to look at him, she would misunderstand.

The light is green.

He looked back to the front of the car.

The burning sensation disappeared, as if it was all just her illusion.

"Do you still want to go back to the group?" She couldn't bear the messy thoughts and picked a random topic to divert attention.

"Um."

"oh……"

The topic seems to be interrupted.

He suddenly asked, "Do you have any other plans tonight?"

Mu Yuan shook his head blankly and asked subconsciously: "No, do you need my cooperation?"

"Want to go to the movies?"

"What?" Mu Yuan paused.

He added calmly, "Someone gave me two movie tickets. The deadline is today. It would be a waste if I don't watch it."

She blurted out: “Aren’t you going to watch it with Donna?”

Huo Min frowned slightly, as if he didn't understand why she asked that: "I've never watched a movie with her."

Seeing that she didn't respond.

Huo Min pursed his lips tightly, but soon opened them again: "It's okay if you don't want to go..."

"Go." She interrupted first.

Meeting his gaze, Mu Yuan smiled: "After the show, let's have dinner together. It's my treat. Last time you helped me to arrange Norman, I haven't found a chance to thank you yet."

Huo Min curled his lips slightly: "Okay."

The road that was supposed to turn left was changed to a U-turn.

On Friday, there are naturally a lot of people.

Mu Yuan originally wanted to go with Huo Min to redeem the ticket.

But when he was about to reach the service counter, he suddenly glanced sideways and said, "Let's divide the work. I'll queue up to redeem the tickets, and you queue up to buy popcorn."

Mu Yuan glanced at the long queue in the food area and said cheerfully, "Okay, come find me after you redeem your ticket."

"Um."

When there are too many people queuing, some people will try to cut in line.

Mu Yuan arranged it very well.

Suddenly, someone stepped in front of her by the shoulder.

They were two little girls who looked like they were reading. After cutting in line, they chatted and laughed, ignoring the girl behind them.

If only they had been polite enough to explain.

Let’s forget about it.

But they pretended to ignore it, which made Mu Yuan decide to fight back.

"Hello."

When the two girls turned around, Mu Yuan narrowed her eyes and said, "You dropped something."

They instinctively looked down to find out: "What?", "What fell?"

"Face." She sarcastically said, "You're just rushing over to cut in line, without even caring about your dignity?"

The two who finally reacted turned pale with anger. The one on the left started to yell, "Which eye of yours saw us cutting in line?!"

Mu Yuan was neither anxious nor impatient, and smiled: "I saw both of them."

The girl visibly choked.

Mu Yuan crossed her arms and said calmly, "Before I say anything more unpleasant, please line up at the back."

"Humph! You say to line up? Who do you think you are?! We insist on standing here today, what can you do about it?!"
