Cheng Che paused, wanting to answer something. Then he heard Yun Xiang say, "Don't be so stubborn. You just said you were waiting for me."
Then he must be taking her home.
"You know it well, yet you still ask me?" Cheng Che said with disgust.
He just thought about how Yunxiang had been harassed a few days ago. There were several bars nearby, and she got off work so late, so he waited for her to go home together.
He had absolutely no other thoughts, so Yun thought it would be best not to dwell on it too much.
"Guessing is boring. I prefer to hear affirmative words. For example, you say, yes, take me home." Yun Xiang raised his eyebrows, and his fair face was full of intelligence.
Cheng Che had to admit that Yun Xiang was really different from other girls.
So, he looked into her eyes and hummed, "Yes, I'll take you home. Okay?"
After getting a satisfactory answer, Yun Xiang smiled brightly, "Of course."
He must have been worried about her since he took her home so late.
It had been a long time since her father passed away, since she had felt the warmth of being cared for by others.
Although Uncle Cheng and other seniors also showed her care, she always felt that it was not enough. Perhaps it was because her father had given her too much sense of security.
She was really well protected before.
Yun Xiang looked up at Cheng Che. The inexplicable sense of security made her feel warm in her heart, enough to sweep away the fatigue of the day.
Yunxiang deliberately slowed down her pace. He glanced at her and slowed down his pace as well, with confusion in his eyes. What?
Yun Xiang walked side by side with him, a smile in her eyes.
The night was indeed dark, but not dark enough to swallow up Cheng Che.
He is vivid and dazzling.
Like a god hidden in the mountains and rivers, like a dark and intertwined light, this beam of light is now accompanying her.
"Cheng Che." Yun Xiang suddenly called him.
He tilted his head to look at her, frowning, and said nothing.
Yun Xiang was displeased, "Didn't you hear me calling you?"
Cheng Che sighed.
Thinking about how she kept asking him questions because he didn't say it was okay, she knew that Yun Xiang was being stubborn again.
Cheng Che was extremely disgusted, "Are you okay?"
Yun thought: "It's okay."
Cheng Che: "...free?"
Yun Xiang chuckled and said, "Just entertaining the kids. I have nothing to do anyway."
Cheng Che was speechless.
Waiting for him here?
He had never seen Yun Xiang hold a grudge like this!
Yun Xiang's prank was successful. He waved at him and trotted forward, shouting, "Let's go, I'm going home. Cheng Che, don't follow me."
Cheng Che looked at the energetic Yun Xiang and was at a loss whether to laugh or cry.
"Yun Xiang, there's a dog up ahead. It's a Tibetan Mastiff." Cheng Che reminded her.
Yun Xiang immediately turned around and asked him, "Cheng Che, do you think I would be fooled?"
Cheng Che was silent.
In less than three seconds, a confident dog barking was heard from a yard.
Yun Xiang immediately ran back in fear, still yelling, "No, Cheng Che, you're serious!!"
Cheng Che looked at Yun eagerly as he tried to hide behind him, and couldn't help but curl up the corners of his mouth, with a smile written all over his face.
He said there was a dog in front.
Yun Xiang looked at him obediently and suddenly called out, "Brother Cheng Che."
Cheng Che: "...If you have something to say, just say it."
Yun Xiang smiled innocently and said, "Can you please not tell Uncle Cheng and Auntie about my part-time job?"
She didn't want them to worry about her.
If Cheng Xiao knew she had a part-time job, he would definitely overthink it. He would think she was being wronged because he didn't take good care of her. But in fact, it wasn't the case. Her uncle and aunt treated her very well.
Cheng Che glanced at Yun Xiang.
Yun Xiang clasped his hands together and said, "Please."
"You beg me." Cheng Che put his hands in his pockets, looking very arrogant.
I just suffered a loss, so I have to pay it back now, right?
Yun wants to be silent.
"Hmm?" Cheng Che decisively took out his cell phone and directly clicked on Cheng Xiao's number.
Don't ask for help, just call.
Yun Xiang snorted. Did they have to keep hurting each other like this? Couldn't they just live in peace?
"I beg you, okay?" Yun Xiang pouted, very reluctantly.
Cheng Che shook his head and said calmly, "Not sincere."
"Don't go too far." Yun wanted to warn him.
Cheng Che narrowed his eyes and reminded her, "Yun Xiang, you better understand. Now you're begging me to keep it a secret. Which of us should be the one not to go too far?"
Yun Xiang instantly looked aggrieved.
Cheng Che clicked his tongue. This again.
Cheng Che walked forward and ignored her.
He bet that Yun Xiang would definitely beg him.
Within three seconds, Yun Xiang followed and said sincerely, "Cheng Che, please, keep this a secret for me."
Cheng Che looked at her then, and couldn't help but curl his lips, "I agree."
Yun Xiang immediately turned disgusted and repeated his words in his mind. He did not forget to complain: "Cheng Che, you are so immature."
"Yun Xiang, did I call Cheng Xiao?"
"Cheng Che, I was wrong."
"You're so quick to admit your mistake."
…
The backs of the two people gradually disappeared at the entrance of the alley.
A new sun slowly rises.
Yunxiang lay on the bed. It felt like a party hall had opened above his head, and the sound of music kept coming into his ears.
Yun Xiang closed his eyes and grabbed the alarm clock on the bedside table.
It’s just past eight o’clock.
Yun wanted to open his eyes and empty his mind for a few minutes. Then he heard clearly that there was music playing upstairs.
Yun Xiang looked up at the ceiling. It seemed Cheng Che was preparing a song for the music festival.
Yunxiang yawned, then got up and washed up while listening to the music upstairs.
When she left the room, the news was playing in the living room, and Hu Nan was cleaning the house.
"Auntie, good morning. You don't have to go to work today." Yun Xiang greeted Hu Nan.
