Chapter 44: Not Waiting for the Typhoon, I'm Waiting for You

Yun wanted to look up, but the man just lowered his head, and the flashlight from his cell phone shone on her face.

Cheng Che: “?” Throw yourself into his arms?

Yun Xiang glanced at Cheng Che's face in a panic. His hair was damp, and his eyelashes were stained with water. His breathing was heavy, and the close proximity was a different feeling. Yun Xiang swallowed, tilted his head, and quickly took two steps back, letting his heartbeat spiral out of control.

Cheng Che's hand was in the air, and his fingertips moved, as if he was still craving for that slender and soft touch.

"Cheng Che." Yun wanted to call him.

Cheng Che entered the house, closed the door, and quickly changed his shoes.

The TV in the living room was playing news about the typhoon. Looking at the cup of water still on the coffee table, I asked her, "Are you still up so late, waiting for the typhoon?"

Yun Xiang followed him with his gaze and said directly, "I'm not waiting for the typhoon, I'm waiting for you."

Cheng Che stopped on his way upstairs. He turned and looked at Yun Xiang.

——I’m not waiting for the typhoon, I’m waiting for you.

Yun Xiang's face was serious, her almond-shaped eyes beautiful. He couldn't help but think of last night, when they had faced each other in the same way. She looked at him with red eyes, her tone full of grievance.

She said, "Cheng Che, that's my cake..."

She said, "Cheng Che, it ate my cake..."

If you think about it carefully, is there any blame for him in her tone?

Actually, no. Yun Xiang's tone was filled with grievance. It was as if she was looking for someone to speak up for her, make the decision for her, and then say, "Yes, it's all its fault."

As for the little girl, you just need to coax her.

He didn't, he was just so arrogant and didn't understand her grievances.

Cheng Che looked up at Yun Xiang, his expression darkening. He was about to speak, "Yun..."

"I'm sorry, Cheng Che." Yun Xiang spoke first, interrupting what he was about to say.

Cheng Che looked at Yun Xiang in surprise.

Yun Xiang said apologetically, "Cheng Che, I was wrong last night. I shouldn't have quarreled with you over a piece of cake. I will definitely control my emotions in the future and won't cause you any trouble."

Cheng Che's expression instantly became complicated.

Yun Xiang's words were like a thorn, seemingly so calm, but it landed silently on the tip of his heart, hurting him bit by bit, and making him feel guilty.

In fact, Yun Xiang didn't cause him any trouble.

She said, "Cheng Che, the Cheng family is willing to give me a place to stay, and I am very satisfied. It is my fault that I did not understand my position clearly. I am sorry, and I hope you can forgive me."

Cheng Che pursed his lips and looked at Yun Xiang for a long time without saying a word.

She is so sensible. If he doesn't forgive her, it would make him seem unreasonable.

But he wanted to tell Yunxiang, "I don't blame you."

"Really?" Yun Xiang's eyes immediately looked at him with sparkling eyes, and her tone became excited again.

Cheng Che met her eyes and couldn't help but click his tongue. How could this little girl be so easily coaxed? He said he didn't blame her, she just looked at him like that.

Yun Xiang's gaze was so intense, and when he looked at Cheng Che, it was filled with clarity and tenderness. Cheng Che felt an inexplicable itch in his heart. He tilted his head and said in a calm voice, "Hmm."

real.

"Okay, then I'm fine." Yun Xiang swung his arms that were hanging by his legs, looking relaxed.

Cheng Che asked her, "Have you been waiting for me for a long time?"

"No." Yun Xiang shook his head.

Cheng Che glared at her but didn't expose her.

She hadn't even changed out of her school uniform; it was wrinkled, and it was obvious that she had been waiting for him in the living room since school.

Cheng Che thought for a moment and said to her, "Song Jin and I are going to the internet cafe."

Yun wanted to raise his eyes, huh?

Although he didn't know why Cheng Che suddenly said this, he nodded.

Cheng Che also realized that his words came out of nowhere. He walked towards the stairs, muttering, "I'm going to take a shower, you should get some rest early."

"Okay. Good night, Cheng Che." Yun Xiang smiled.

Cheng Che paused on the stairs. He raised his eyes, tightened his hand on the handrail, and then turned to look at Yun Xiang.

She stood there calmly, looking a little tired, but she still smiled at him in a way that tried to please him.

He just felt that she was too sensible. Too sensible.

The air grew thinner, and the sound of rain outside the window pierced my ears. The strong wind made the windows rattle constantly.

Cheng Che spoke slowly, "Yun Xiang, it's not your fault. I didn't take good care of the can. I won't let it eat your food next time."

Yun Xiang quickly shook his head.

Cheng Che pursed his lips, his throat rolling up and down, and lowered his voice, "It's my fault and the can's fault."

——It was me and the can that were wrong.

Yun Xiang's eyebrows twitched. Something in his heart felt like it was being warmed, and he couldn't help feeling wronged and ashamed.

"Why are you admitting your mistake all of a sudden? I always said it wasn't your fault. I..." Yun Xiang's voice was inexplicably choked.

Cheng Che noticed the sobbing tone in her voice and immediately said fiercely, "I understand. Don't cry."

Yun Xiang was indeed choked.

She looked at Cheng Che aggrievedly, bit her lip, and after a long while, she blurted out, "Cheng Che, you're mean to me."

Cheng Che: “…” How could he?

"I went upstairs!" He frowned, his whole body was wet and he felt very uncomfortable.

Yun Xiang didn't say anything, just stared at him.

For a moment, Cheng Che didn't know whether he should leave.

After a long silence, he sighed, as if he was helpless with her.

"Yun Xiang, can I go upstairs to take a shower?" he asked patiently.

Yun Xiang nodded, a little stunned, "Okay..."

Cheng Che quickly went upstairs. The living room fell silent.

Yunxiang turned off the TV and ran back to his room.

She took a shower, changed into pajamas and went to bed. Yun Xiang stared at the ceiling, her mind full of what Cheng Che had just said.
