Qin Yunhao stopped Qin Yunyang from leaving.
"Brother, why did you teach your younger brother to lie? I'm going to tell Mother!"
After saying that, he turned around and walked towards Liu Zheng.
Qin Yunyang grabbed his collar.
"Was I teaching him to lie? I was saving us. Do you think Yun Du would be happy to receive the soil? If he knew we'd known for over a month and kept it a secret, do you think he'd blame us?"
Qin Yunhao suddenly realized
"Brother, you did the right thing! I misunderstood just now. How could we possibly know what Yunze was going to send? He kept it from us so well!"
Qin Yunyang nodded in agreement, and the two brothers reached a consensus at that moment.
Qin Yundu received many gifts as soon as he opened his eyes.
First, it was my grandfather and uncles, then my other uncles and brothers.
Even Jingming's fellow disciples gave him gifts, which made him especially happy.
I never expected to receive this during the migration.
More than when I was in Qixia Village
Until he saw the grand finale
He looked at Qin Yunze with emotion as he saw an enormous package.
"Little brother, I never imagined you, who love to eat so much, would save so much for me! I'm so touched!"
Qin Yunze smiled sweetly.
"Seventh cousin, I know you're touched, but you're touching the wrong thing. This isn't a snack; it's what you want most. Open it and take a look."
Qin Yundu was completely baffled by what he said.
"What I want most? I don't want anything. Could this huge bag be the ancient books my uncle hid away?"
Qin Yunyang poured cold water on him upon hearing this.
"Yun Du, don't get your hopes up. Our house burned down; not a single book was left. You should open it yourself and see!"
Qin Yundu stepped forward to accept the grand finale gift, causing him to stumble.
Wang Chang'en, who was standing nearby, reached out to support him: "Are you alright?"
Qin Yundu shook his head, becoming even more curious about the large and heavy package.
He quickly opened it, and everyone present who was unaware of what was happening was completely dumbfounded.
Only Qin Yunze looked excited.
"Haha, how about that? Weren't you surprised? Weren't you touched?"
Everyone around him looked at him like he was an idiot.
Qin Yundu asked, puzzled.
"Yunze, why did you send me such a big bag of yellow soil?"
Qin Yunze answered with great pride.
"Seventh cousin, didn't you say it's hard to leave your homeland? I brought this especially for you. I've been wanting to tell you for over a month, but I've tried so hard to hold back. You have no idea how hard I've endured it!"
Qin Yundu looked at Qin Yunyang and Wang Chang'en.
Qin Luo and Qin Yunhao were also present; the group shook their heads and waved their hands in unison.
Qin Yunze still thought he had done something incredibly great.
Always taking credit for oneself
"Seventh cousin, your elder brother and sister don't know, this was my idea all along, just to keep you from leaving your homeland. How about it? Are you happy?"
Although Qin Yundu disliked it, he still gritted his teeth and endured it.
"If you like it, can I let this soil return to the earth now?"
Qin Yunze asked, puzzled, "Why?"
Qin Yunyuan couldn't stand it anymore, so he took the large bag of soil and Qin Yunze aside.
"Yunze, your older cousin knows you mean well, but no one gives a bag of yellow earth as a birthday gift. The symbolism of yellow earth is bad, not your intentions, do you understand?"
Qin Yunze pouted.
"Eldest cousin, I didn't think that much about it. I just wanted to make seventh cousin happy, it wasn't intentional..."
Qin Yunyuan hugged the little crybaby whose eyes were full of tears.
"No one blames you. Yun Du knows you didn't mean it. Now that you realize sending soil is wrong, let's not do it again. Let's dump this soil together and think of something else to give him, okay?"
Qin Yunze, with tears in his eyes, said, "Okay!"
The two of them, having carried the donkey-hide gelatin on yellow soil for over a month, finally unloaded it by the roadside.
Qin Yundu also scratched his hands with a wronged expression, and Qin Yunzhou pulled him away.
"Xiao Qi, do you believe Xiao Jiu didn't do it on purpose?"
Qin Yundu didn't speak, but simply nodded slightly.
Qin Yunzhou then comforted
“I also believe that Xiao Jiu did not do it on purpose. Just like me, sometimes I do something wrong without realizing it until my parents tell me. My eldest cousin has already told him what he did wrong, and I think he will definitely realize his mistake. Can Xiao Qi forgive him?”
"Yes, I don't really blame him. I know he didn't mean it. I'm just a little sad."
Qin Yunzhou pinched his little face.
"Then be sad for a little while, only a little while! After you're done being sad, we'll still happily open your presents. You still have several to open!"
"I know what those are without even opening them. My sixth cousin gave me a piece of art he carved himself, Brother Chang'en gave me milk candy, and Brother Yunhao gave me a stone."
"What about Luo Luo's? You haven't opened hers yet!"
Qin Yundu looked confident.
"My older sister must have given me pills; she said before that gifts she gave me could save me in a critical moment!"
Qin Yunzhou, on the other hand, looked curious.
"That's not necessarily true. Open it and see. I just saw Luo Luo put it down; it was quite heavy. What kind of pill is that heavy?"
Qin Yundu looked at the cloth bag on the donkey cart and became curious as well.
He walked over, opened it, and then looked at Qin Yunzhou.
"Third cousin, how much silver can a child carry?"
Qin Yunzhou didn't understand why he asked that.
He took the cloth bag and was stunned.
