Qin Luo and Wu Hua didn't go out that night; they stayed under the Bodhi tree, cracking melon seeds and chatting.
Although Tengteng usually pulls the hardest, she's actually the one who's most reluctant to part with it.
It clung to the trunk of the Bodhi tree, acting coquettishly.
"Titi, I'll miss you, don't worry! I promise I'll never hit your child again!"
Speaking of this, Ti Ti gritted his teeth.
"Born to be a vine, I hope you'll keep your word!"
Tengteng guarantees
"Don't worry, I'm here to support my aunt! I'll definitely do it!"
Qin Luo ate the melon seeds that Wu Hua had peeled while listening to the two plants chat, occasionally asking Wu Hua a question or two.
"Little one, did you already know that Tengteng was a girl?"
Wu Hua looked at her with surprise.
"Don't you know?"
Qin Luo was even more surprised: "How would I know?"
"You made a bow on it! A pink one! I thought you knew!"
Qin Luo nodded speechlessly: "Now I know!"
A person, a beast, and two plants chatted until a glimmer of light appeared on the horizon.
Wu Hua first wrapped the Bodhi tree with energy, and then left the space with Qin Luo.
Jingming was already waiting at the hut; judging from the bloodshot eyes, he probably hadn't slept all night.
Upon seeing the two emerge, he led them to the courtyard of the main hall.
"Let's plant it here! This is where its mother tree used to be!"
After Qin Luo nodded, Wu Hua moved the Bodhi tree out of her spatial storage and planted it in the designated location.
Titi inserted the rootstock into the ground, even though the rootstock of the Bodhi tree had been dug up before.
But it could still sense the remains of its mother tree underground.
Then it quickly absorbed them, spreading its branches out, instantly covering most of the courtyard.
Looking at the towering tree before him, Jingming could never have imagined that just over a year ago it was a tiny seed.
He estimated the trunk's thickness; it would probably take several of his junior brothers to encircle it.
If not told, people would surely think it's a thousand years old.
Jingming bowed to Wu Hua.
"Thank you so much, sir, for planting the Bodhi tree so well!"
Wu Hua waved to him
"Don't be shy, just treat it well!"
Jingming nodded in a gesture of commitment.
"Definitely! I will never let it suffer the pain of its tree mother again!"
Hearing this, Wu Hua felt relieved and went over to rub against the Bodhi tree trunk.
Goodbye, Titi!
Titi replied reluctantly, "Goodbye!"
Jingming couldn't bear to look at Qin Luo either.
"Sister, have a good breakfast before you go! The temple keeper got up early to prepare!"
Before Qin Luo could answer, Wu Hua, who had just been grieving, rushed over, grabbed Jingming's hand, and ran.
"Okay! Let's go!"
Jingming was caught off guard and nearly tripped.
Qin Luo reacted quickly and helped him up, then turned to scold Wu Hua.
"Does your little bottom want another spanking?"
Wu Hua knew she had done wrong and didn't dare to meet her gaze, secretly glancing up at her.
"I was wrong, I will never be impatient again!"
Seeing its aggrieved look, Jingming felt a pang of sympathy and picked it up.
"It's not your fault, little one. I lost my balance. Let's go try the temple keeper's cooking!"
"Okay!"
Qin Luo: Why do I feel like a stupid idiot trying to sow discord?
After waving to the Bodhi tree, he followed to the kitchen.
Today's breakfast was the most lavish one since we returned to Fuhua Temple!
Although both are vegetarian, it must be said that specializing in one area will definitely yield results!
The vegetarian food at the temple always tastes better than the vegetarian food outside. Qin Luo ate two large bowls with tears in her eyes.
Wu Hua devoured all the food on the table, and even wanted another bowl.
Qin Luo immediately stopped it.
"Stop eating! You've eaten everything that Jingming and the others have eaten!"
Wu Hua looked at the row of little monks, whose bowls were cleaner than her face.
She hid behind Qin Luo, embarrassed.
"Luo Luo, let's go! We have to go!"
Qin Luo was amused by its self-deceptive behavior. The temple keeper took out the sugar cakes he had made that morning and put them all into a clean cloth bag.
"Come here, little one. This is something I made especially for you. Take it with you and eat it slowly on the way. Don't eat too much at once, or it will rot your teeth!"
Wu Hua immediately forgot her earlier embarrassment, took the cloth bag, and thanked him repeatedly.
"Thank you, thank you so much, Grandpa Temple Keeper! You're so kind! May you live to be a hundred years old!"
Immediately, specks of green light fell upon the temple keeper, who bowed in gratitude.
"Thank you, sir. Please take care of yourself!"
After saying goodbye, Qin Luo, carrying Wu Hua, hurried away from Chiling Mountain with the donkey-hide gelatin.
Jingming stood blankly in front of the temple for a long time, gazing in the direction down the mountain without saying a word.
Immediately, the Bodhi tree shone brightly, and a voice echoed in Jingming's mind.
"All worldly affairs are illusory; do not let your heart be moved or your emotions affected, lest you ruin yourself and others!"
Jingming didn't know whether these words came from the Bodhi tree or were left to him by Qin Luo.
But none of that matters anymore. His destiny lies in this temple, while Qin Luo's destiny lies in the vast world.
It's all an illusion for two people who will almost never see each other again!
He bowed in the direction Qin Luo had left, then turned and resolutely stepped into the temple gate.
It's as if I've severed all ties with this mortal world; all worldly splendor has faded, and I'm but a passerby; I enter the gate of emptiness under the Bodhi tree.
From then on, it was said in the Chiling Mountain area that the abbot of Fuhua Temple was a born Buddha, who was free from attachment and thought throughout his life and was destined to be blessed to become a Buddha!
Qin Luo and Wu Hua were rushing to deliver the donkey-hide gelatin, their laughter echoing all the way.
They didn't seem too sad, perhaps because they had experienced too much death.
Whether it's losing a loved one or slaying zombies in the apocalypse
