Wu Hua clung tightly to Qin Luo's neck, her body trembling slightly, whether from the cold or from fright, it was hard to tell!
They were struggling through the mountains and forests, the soil beneath their feet soft and slippery from the torrential rain.
She walked carefully, afraid of slipping and falling and hurting Wu Hua.
"Little one, don't be afraid, I'm here!"
Wu Hua was comforted by her words and gradually stopped trembling.
"Luo Luo, be careful when you walk, don't trip over the tree roots!"
"Don't worry! I'm keeping an eye on it!"
Wu Hua walked deep into the mountains and forests before she saw any traces of the weasel's activity.
It stretched out its little hand and pointed to the cave not far away.
"Luo Luo, the weasel should be there. Go slowly over there; there are tall weeds and thorns around the cave entrance..."
Upon hearing this, Qin Luo took out a long knife and, upon approaching, cleared away all the obstacles at the cave entrance.
He then entered the cave, loosened the vines, and put Wu Hua down.
Seeing its pale little face, I quickly rubbed it.
"Are you cold? I should have let you into the space!"
Wu Hua also rubbed her small hands together to warm them and then pressed them against her face.
"I don't want to go into the spatial dimension, I want to be with Luo Luo!"
Qin Luo touched the little hand that was resting on her face, and a wave of emotion washed over her.
"Looks like you've been spending too much time with Fan Xing lately, you've got quite the way with your words!"
Fan Xing, who was being nagged, was lying comfortably in the stone house, eating the energy that Xia Beinian fed him, feeling incredibly comfortable.
She now truly understands what it means to have a doghouse where there's no place like home.
After working hard for several months, she earned some merit and energy, but she never wanted to leave the Divine Stone House again.
Nowhere is as good as here; I can do nothing all day and have my loved one by my side.
She had no desire to ever again experience the hardships of being a cow or a horse.
Qin Luo, who also didn't want to be treated like a beast of burden, was drawn to a faint sound.
She took out a luminous pearl and looked in the direction of the sound.
There was a monkey, soaking wet, huddled up at the very back of the cave.
They were skin and bones, and their eyes revealed a hint of helplessness and exhaustion as they looked at them.
Qin Luo led Wu Hua closer slowly, calling to her in a gentle voice.
"Wheel!"
The monkey seemed to sense her kindness, slowly propping itself up, its gaze fixed on Wu Hua.
"My auspicious beast, please help me stop this torrential rain and save these trees and animals!"
Wu Hua shook her head at it.
"I can't do it. You asked for this. You can petition again to show that there has been enough rain before it can stop!"
The tiger looked at it weakly, its tone extremely anxious.
"I'm about to degenerate; I've lost all my divine power!"
Wu Hua gestured for Qin Luo to squat down, and after Qin Luo did so...
It grabbed the tiger's front paw with one hand and touched the auspicious cloud on Qin Luo's forehead with the other.
Suddenly, a golden light flashed inside the cave, so bright that Qin Luo couldn't open his eyes.
Then she heard Wu Hua's voice.
"Wei, use your divine power one last time to save those innocent lives!"
Upon hearing this, the monkey immediately knelt and worshipped the heavens, pressing its other front paw against its forehead.
"Wei, I pray to Heaven to stop the rain and let the sun shine on the earth!"
Immediately afterwards, a golden light shot towards the horizon, and after a moment, the rain gradually subsided.
Then it stopped, and the sun rose, with two magnificent rainbows appearing on the horizon.
Wu Hua released Wei and withdrew her small hand from touching Xiangyun, looking at Wei with some anger.
"Tell me, why are you demanding such heavy rain!"
As soon as the words were spoken, a sense of shame filled the monkey's mind, and it lowered its head in shame.
"I misunderstood for a moment. There was a severe drought before, and I prayed to the gods, but I couldn't get any rain. All the creatures here resent my uselessness, and even the unintelligent animals bully me!"
It started to feel aggrieved as it spoke, even though it could pray for rain and communicate with spirits.
But it's just a monkey after all, and its fighting ability is often overwhelmed; calling it a complete weakling wouldn't be an exaggeration.
"Later, my faith power dwindled, and it basically died out after the humans left. I have been staying here ever since, praying for rain every day without ever stopping!"
Upon hearing this, Qin Luo and Wu Hua gradually calmed down, no longer wanting to hit it.
I think it's actually quite pitiful; a monkey being insulted and bullied...
It survived the drought all by itself for so long; I can't even imagine how it managed to live!
As Wei recounted her story, she wiped away tears, a sight that deeply saddened the heart.
"It wasn't until a few months ago that a light drizzle started to fall, and slowly the animals returned, but we haven't seen any humans since. I've been looking at the main road every day, but not a single one has come!"
Then it looked at Qin Luo and Wu Hua.
"But I saw you yesterday, and I thought that if a heavy rain fell, I could keep you here, so I wouldn't have to regress!"
As it spoke, it secretly glanced at the two of them, and seeing that they didn't seem inclined to make a move...
He continued, "I used my last bit of divine power to summon a torrential rain, but when I saw you disappear in the rain, I already regretted it, but it was too late; my divine power was exhausted..."
Qin Luo really didn't know whether to call it naive or stupid.
Who stays because of a downpour? Even if they can stay for a while, they'll leave as soon as the rain stops!
After obtaining Wu Hua's consent, she fed the dog some water from the spatial stream and gave it a medical check-up.
I found nothing else wrong with it; it was just starving. I guess it gets beaten up by animals every day and can't get any food...
Qin Luo took out two peaches for it, then took out a blanket and carried it onto the blanket.
"Just have a bite to eat first, then I'll grill some meat for you later!"
Wei took the peach and started eating it as if he hadn't eaten in a long time!
